there is a “Leave a reply” form on the home page version 2 at the bottom after the updates… how is this possible. I need to remove this as soon as possible. thank you

Please edit the home page >> Then in the top right section of the page you will find the Screen options button click it >> then select the Discussion option >> then in the page options you find the discussion tab >> inside it unselect the Allow comment option then save the page.

Hi, I want to add this gallery to a page that I’m creating. (http://www.newsmartwave.net/wordpress/porto/shortcodes/image-gallery/) I want each image to link to a specific page. I’m having a hard time creating this image portfolio, the images links to the portfolio page but I want them to link to my custom urls. Please advice. Also what shortcode is being used for the gallery in the sample link I pasted above.

Since updateing from Proto 3.5.2 to all the newer versions, i keep getting the css error when google fonts are trying to get loaded via the porto plugin.css.

It seems to be an url escaping problem.

I would like to know if this is a bug or a config setting error on my side.

I’ve just updated to the newest Porto after all the unstable updates that were released in conjunction with WC 3.0, and as I go to active my Child Theme, I end up getting this…

The page isn’t redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

Any idea what’s wrong?

Please activate the parent Porto theme then check your site. I think you have added anything in the porto child theme if no then please contact your hosting provider to solve this issue for you. This issue is related with the server not with the theme.

I can activate the parent theme, but once I attempt to activate the child theme it goes to a redirect that will never resolve, and then I have to FTP into the site, rename both porto theme folders in order to force another theme into place in order to recover the site. When you suggest it’s a problem with the server, I would like to request additional information as to what to ask for when I contact my Technical Support at Siteground.

Hi I like the CV variant of the theme. However, here in the UK, you would never include a photo on a CV unless you were an actor or model. Is there an option to remove the photo within the theme without leaving a blank area where the photo went? Regards

Yes, you can remove the single image VC element and set the row’s columns width from edit the page easily. Please delete the image VC element >> then set the columns number from the columns settings of the row.

Sorry to say that you can not do that. There is no option in the theme to do that. We are using the default Woocommerce plugin functionality in our theme and it only allows the My account shortcode to add the login and register form inside the page.

Hi with the latest woocommece porto does not work correctly with the plugin WP ALL IMPORT / EXPORT. (internal server error) when trying to export products. When I revert to the standard theme all works ok.

CSS Overhead Is this normal that when I open any css file in: wp-content/themes/porto/css/ They all seems to have extra lines which should be adding overhead on download time?

Also: Wish the tweaks I bring to “Porto Child Theme Options” would be saved directly inside my “porto-child” theme folder, instead of the “porto”, which could be easily overwritten by mistake.

1. Yes, the extra lines added during the download time or when you open the PHP file through CPanel, some servers create the extra space between the code but there is no space in the theme files.

2. No, you can not save the Porto child Theme Options directly in to the child theme folder, it is always saved in the parent theme CSS folder but you will never lose the theme options when you will follow this step:

After the theme update please go to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Skin >> Compile CSS Section >> Click the Save Changes Button >> Then Click the Theme CSS button >> Then Click the Plugin CSS button to recover your site settings and colors options.

Hi folks.. I do not understand all the problems around. I am using latest wordpress, latest woocommerce 3.0.4, latest porto 3.6.0, and i have 66 active plugins installed. Everything with NO problems at all, just a few CSS adjustments.

Have any of you with all the problems tried to deactivate all plugins and checking everything from there?

Do not upload the latest version of this theme. It breaks wordpress. continue using 3.5 until 3.6 is fixed!

Have you purchased the theme? If yes, then please update the theme via Cpanel because sometimes updating the theme via FTP crash the PHP files during uploading. And we have already checked the theme and did not find any issue with the latest theme so far.

I see your above-given error and it seems that during the update of the theme this file was crashed. Please re-upload the theme via CPanel I hope you will not find any issue in the latest theme 3.6. We have already tested the theme and did nit find this type of issue, this issue is only because of the error comes during the uploading of the theme. Please use the CPanel to upload/update the theme.
