If you are compliant with the Max Input Vars you don’t have any problems (this is simply not possible unless you don’t have extra plugins, the required 3000 refer to the theme and bundled plugins). Have you also verified that your host give you 3000 as suggested in the docs? https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/213459869
Please note that the value you see in Uncode is the installation Max Vars but if your host limit you at 1000 you have 1000 anyway. If you have had this problem seems that the server limit is 1000. Hi, I don’t think I’ve explained very well. There is no problem with compliance (http://i.imgur.com/W7VcXtI.png)

Here’s what happened…

- I went to adjust scroll settings - But discovered I needed to update Max Input Vars, which I updated - I then saved the scroll settings and bang… all my Uncode Theme settings including lots of CSS had vanished and my site is now broken and I’m losing sales/money as a result

All I’d like to know is why this happened so I can avoid the hassle in future?

We have understood the problem and the only possible cause if you don’t have any extra plugins that consume vars is that your host is not offering you a Max Input Vars value up to 3000. When you edit the Max Input Vars you adjust the installation value but if your host is limiting you to 1000 you’ll still have 1000. Have you verified the Max Inout Vars server limit and can you confirm that they give you 3000? https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/213453949
Just to clarify the only cause is that your host is limiting you at 1000 so even if you insert 5000 you still have 1000: http://undsgn.d.pr/wp1MTS/5bfVUqWS

About the footer edit please note that you edit from Theme Options https://support.undsgn.com/hc/articles/214002185 but you can also define diversifications in the Page Options (so verify that there are no applied diversification settings in the single page if you have imported the demos): https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/214002845

Hi byterland, what you refer exactly? Uncode uses a tailored version of Visual Composer as advertised and there is nothing to fix, please explain what you refer in detail since we have responsive options too.

On general setting from visual composer you have a checkbox to “Disable responsive content elements”. I have enabled it and it’s not working. In my case I want to not stack a row with 4 columns when in mobile. I want to have smaller and side by side. Its crucial since i doing a restaurante menu grid, and i prefer people exand with finger to see it. Stacking makes a nonsense result. I want it like a table. But the feature does not do anything.

I figured out what I needed to do. But one more thing…in the restaurant theme, I am sure you must have used columns to center the text content on the header image. Now when I use columns, the arrow to scroll down is white, but when I don’t use columns the colour is blackish/dark…how do I control that?

Hi omeriel, pretty odd you have this problem no other users reported a problem with menu shadow, when we update the theme we implement only extra functionalities, I don’t know if it’s related to some custom code (I see you have inserted some custom code). Anyway paste this code in the Theme Options > CSS:

About the complaint this is just the Envato official policy for support (and as author we are compelled to comply) and you cannot expect to have lifetime support (this is the same if you buy a car, an iPhone or WordPress theme).

This works. thank you very much. I really recommend your theme. The support subscription is more a proportionality question. Of curse, there can be nothing for free. But the way it’s handled here at Envato is abusive. My car runs smoothly since 8 years without any update. Thank you for your support and fast reaction.

Hi omeriel! Certainly, but to continue to do your car smoothly, you have to undergo checks, reviews, coupons and tire changes. There is nothing abusive about what Envato is assured, if you do not like their formula you can try other marketplaces but you will pay a very high yearly feed to use theme and support. With the Skins you have not to change colors of any elements since the color change is automatic, for example the same is for Headings…

Anyway I think you have removed the diversifications, now I don’t see any gaps and different size elements. If you need to apply diversification please note that the total sum of elements in a single row must be 12- Let us know if you need more infos.

Pretty odd… what version of Uncode and Realted Posts do you have? Try to rename the folder of the Related Post plugin (so you force the deactivation of the plugin), then you can activate Uncode again since the plugin is not active. Just to understand do you have this issue only now or this is a new installation?

So after I renamed related post folder, I can just uninstall Uncode them, and reactivate again? (sorry quite new to this)

I have waited for my client to send me their updated product list for weeks, so only doing that part of the website now (so not a new installation). Saw the fatal error popping up once when I updated a product but could go back in and continue. Today it just killed the site.

Yes, if you rename the plugin folder you can activate Uncode again without problem, when you rename the folder of a plugin you deactivate the plugin.
