Hey guys,

I’ve been looking at your theme and through the comments and I think this will be my theme of choice. I’m building a website for a client that wants to sell tutorial videos individually and per membership (streaming). I think from what I read this theme handles videos well enough so that I could build the website with it.

I’m planning to use Woocommerce with Subscriptions and Members as extra plugins to create this website. You think this is a good combination with your theme? I have no experience yet with this type of website, so I need a little bit extra confirmation :)

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in. X has some great video options, including the ability to add self hosted video players, or embedded videos from a service like YouTube or Vimeo. X integrates nicely with WooCommerce, adding styling to make their elements feel seamless with the theme. As for the plugin you’re talking about, we don’t test with those specifically, but we have some customers with similar setups and we’ve not heard reports of any issues. We also have known X to work well with any plugins coded to WordPress best practices.

please tell me what is the “Permalink to:” on hover a links and is it possible to get rid of it everywhere end completely ? http://prntscr.com/g0h366 http://prntscr.com/g0h576 etc etc

It’s part of the title attribute. It is possible to remove with a bit of customization in a child theme, and our support team can point you in the right direction.

This attribute with “Permalink to:” is useless, repulsive anachronism. Instead of having to deal with the support how to clean it up, I’ll look for a cleaner solution.

Our original intent with prepending “Permalink to:” was to help add additional context for screen readers. Thanks for the feedback. I’m sorry to hear you’ll be looking elsewhere.

your demo halts the chrome browser. forexample http://demo.theme.co/integrity-8/blog/

I’ve taken a look, and that page is loading for me without a problem. Does it happen after taking certain action on the page? Also, what browser are you using?

Ethos Recent Posts on Homepage: what exact file can I edit to kill text-overflow and blocks order? I’ve tried to edit recent-posts.php ib cs zip archive – not working. Killing text-overflow, adding overflow visible to parent container – not working. It always keeps text-overflow clip or ellipsis. What is, of course, unacceptable, h3 must be full. Help please!

Problems already solved. To disable h3 splitting, it needs white-space:normal;

Glad to hear you got it worked out! If you need anything in the future, you can get support in your Apex account: https://theme.co/apex/support

Hi.

Two pre-sales questions.

http://imgur.com/AjeN4rS

1.) In the mockup above can the logo be placed in-between the MailChimp signup box and the Search box with the Menu under them..??

2.) Can the whole header (the MailChimp Signup box, the Logo, the Search box AND the menu) be made a sticky when the page scrolls…??

Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in. I’m sorry, regretfully this layout won’t be possible in X without heavily modifying the templates in a child theme.

Ok, thanks for the response.

No problem!

I purchased X and Pro and I have had major problems with cornerstone. The logo keeps spinning. I read all the self help/diagnostic guides about this and none of it helped. My team messaged you guys on Facebook and I contacted you via the forums and we have had no support. It’s been a month now. Please contact me asap. Why did you ship a buggy product?

Hi There,

First off, we didn’t ship a “buggy” product. Bug fixing is always a part of theme development and as you can see from our Changelog we quickly and frequently patch any global issues that may be discovered.

Second, the oldest threads in the forum are about a day old which means someone has already replied to your thread a long time ago (there is no username “yogagyre” in our system anywhere so you must be using something else). You can find your topics by going to Account > Profile > Topics. You can also set notification preferences at the bottom of the post.

Cheers!

Hello, I was wondering if I could get my license to transfer to a different domain?

I would love to pay for support once I get the site running, but 40 dollars is a bit steep at the moment for a site that is just fledgling. I ended up buying your theme for a school project, and I loved it, now I graduated and I want to actually make a site with it, but I want to “finish” the site before I start renewing my support.

Hey There,

In our apex area you can manage your licenses and reassign the license to any domain you want. If you have not signed up yet you can do so here.

Hello! I´m wondering if the theme is working with AMP. If not, are you working on it to make it possible in the shorterm? Thanks in advance.

Hi There,

The theme doesn’t have built in AMP support out the box, however it would be possible to add with the use of a plugin and some minor modifications in a child theme.

Thanks!

where do i find my license code for this

Hi there,

You can find X under “Downloads” in your ThemeForest account. There will be an option to download the purchase details as a text or PDF file. This includes the purchase code.

Hi, will you be updating the theme to reduce the page size and reduce the number of requests to help improve the SEO for the theme even further? Thank you

Hey there,

The page size is mostly dependent on the amount of content you add to the page. The overall structure output by the theme is pretty lean. As for requests, X ships with all the CSS and Javascript minified into as few files as possible. X is a great starting point when you want to be considerate of performance, and usually the speed can be increased with a handful of optimizations after the site is built out.

Damn, I missed it! I hope this goes on sale again!

Hey There,

There are currently no plans for a sale. Let us know if you need anything else!

Hey there – no worries, and thank you. I missed the $30 boat, and had topped my credits up ready to buy (I just never actually bought it). Oh well, I’ll wait for now. :)

Cool! All the best!

Hello, we’re building a marketplace with vc vendors using the theme revendor. Since we installed buddypress we had a problem. In the signin form, when the user checks “apply as vendor”, he’s not redirected to the “vendor application”, the page where he can manage his store information. Before installing revendor as a theme it was all right. How can we do? thanks

Hi there,

X is the only theme we (Themeco) have on ThemeForest. You will need to reach out to the author of the theme you’re working with.

I know this is a repeated question, but I am using Buddypress with multisite so people can create their own subsites using the subdirectory method. Is the X|The Theme ok with this? Will people be able to use the X|The Theme on their subsite if I network enable it?

Yes, they can use it on the subsites if the theme is network enabled, but you will need to have one X license for each site.

does this theme include essential grid? if not can i buy it and use it without problems?

Yes, it is one of our included Extensions.

Cheers!

Cornerstones don´t work after last version (5.1.1) I’m having a problem on one of the sites, with the last update totally messed up a customer’s site. I can not change the site through cornerstone anymore. This is the error that shows: http://prntscr.com/fxw4c1

I’ve already disabled ALL plugins, I’ve downloaded x-child again, I’ve reinstalled the theme and cornerstone and I can not fix it.

Please help me fix this or I will lose the client. :(

Hi There,

We’ve had thousands of people update just fine so it sounds like something else is going on. A member of our development team would be happy to take a look in our support forums. Instructions can be found on the support page of your Apex account.

Cheers!

We have big problems with integrate our own configuration plugin for WooCommerce with the X Theme. We have to apply a filter to woocommerce_single_product_image_thumbnail_html but it has no effect. With other themes it works without any problems.

Maybe this is because X has it’s own WooCommerce support. How can we disable the WooCommerce support of X or get this running?

Hey there, keep an eye out for the next update which we plan on releasing this afternoon. When WooCommerce 3.1.0 was released it broke our integration with their thumbnails. This upcoming release addresses it by disabling some of our integration code and letting WooCommerce handle it with their own improvements. It could solve the issue you’re having. If not, I would advise reaching out to our support so we can take a closer look at what’s going on (https://theme.co/apex/support).

Hello,

Please help I have purchased X Theme and when I put in my purchase code it gets denied. What do I need to do?

My pleasure!

How long does it usually take to receive a response?

Our team works 24/7. Responses can take up to 24 hours, but we’re often able to reply faster.

arabic is languages already translated ?

Hey There,

Our theme is fully translation ready but there is no pre-made translation in arabic. You will need to translate it on your own. All the best!

Hello X-Masters!

Visual Composer has a background element a “particles”.

Has your builder any like this?

Thank you.

Hey there,

Thanks for writing in. I believe it’s an add-on for VC. Regretfully we don’t have something similar for our page builder.

Just purchased. Enter Purchase Code – Message received: “Unable to verify”. Seriously? WTF?! Freshly installed theme is reporting to be out of date. How is this possible?

Hi There,

It may be that Envato’s API is temporarily down. We don’t have any other reports of this so make sure you are following these instructions, and if you are still having issues feel free to reach out directly with your WordPress login and purchase code, and we’ll be happy to take a look.

Cheers!
