Ups, sorry for the delay, my comment vanished; I can’t say for sure right now but I think it was FF 48, the last one that works with OS 10.6.

It would be great to have the option to turn the effect off all together, instead of trying to make it work. (But keep it for webkit browsers.)

Listen, you’re amazing, I feel bad bothering you with those weird old devices that you’ve no way to properly check. Once I set up a site I’ll ask you very concrete questions (if I may), maybe those instances won’t even concern me.

For now, just for your information, since we’ve started this: the previous and next links on iPhone are fixed, kinda (almost touching the ’+’ now), Hikeshi (Air 3) looks great everywhere, Hikeshi (Air 1) only on iPad, Bloc Brands only on iPad. Everything else still looks the same as before on iPad and desktop Safari (and Mac Chrome 49 for that matter).

If you’ve questions or want me to try something let me know, but don’t even think about it; all the best!

Hi, bwsm, I’d have a couple of questions, but the most important issue for me is the misaligned text. I hope this could be resolved, doesn’t make much sense to proceed before that.

Since it doesn’t happen on all pages, I assume it’s possible to fix this (soon hopefully;). I tried, but without the real stylesheet, no chance. Maybe it has something to do with the social icons and the space that’s reserved for them. The attached screenshots are Mac Chrome 49; looks the same on iPad. Also attached a picture of ami.responivedesign.is so I guess it isn’t just me.

The only two pages I can find that still have a weird text-box are ‘Hikeshi’ (Air 1 demo) and ‘Block Brands’ (Air 2 demo) between 769-991px (like the screenshots). BUT! ‘Hikeshi’ works on Air 2 and ‘Block Brands’ on Air 1.

Hi bwsm, I probably won’t use it but I just noticed that this fullscreen slider has the prev-next links on the bottom, which is very confusing because one would assume they advance to the next image, but they lead to the next post/page. Also if you expand, they are double:

These sliders are kinda neat, but so very sensitive that I can’t use them with a mouse/trackpad without scrolling through all images at once. Work great on mobile though.

On mobile, since one can’t hoover with a finger, if you press on a portfolio-list-item, the title and categories flash for a split-second – then the gallery page opens. Don’t you think it would be a good idea to make it so that the first ‘tap’ shows the title, the second opens the page? Thanks!

Hi, is there a way to make a single image slider/featured image on pages NOT full-screen/browser height?

I would like to create a PAGE just like ‘image gallery POST’ (e.g. Raw Post ) but with ‘portfolio list filter’ (category links) instead of images (e.g. Home 4).

Tried the page builder but with it you can’t add ‘Portfolio List Type’ (or the filter is on top).

Any help is very welcome, thanks!

Hello, I want a picture on top, like it is possible with gallery post (for example ‘Raw’) but on a page that features the portfolio filter (like the homepages). If I use featured image or image-slider it’s always fullscreen.

I would also like a picture on top like that (not fullscreen) on a ‘About’ page. Tried very hard with Pagebuilder, but I can’t do it. The picture always moves when resizing the window (even vanishes on small screens). Not like ‘Raw’ where the display window/cropping stays the same.

It would be beautiful if I then could also use the parallax effect, like on ‘alfonza-woolwear’, which seems to be possible with the options in Pagebuilder, but again I tried so many times to no avail.

I think I don’t really understand the Pagebuilder and what’s possible. Do you have some extended documentation available, or some examples of pages made with it? (Doesn’t have to be Air.)

P.S.: Playing with Pagebuilder I noticed that the ‘image box’ module doesn’t display the images, tried to upload different sizes and all shapes. Also, the ‘divider’ module is always aligned left, not centered. But again, it might be my fault.

Hi, I think it is not necessary to use PageBuidler. There is the featured image for “Page”(Portfolio or About, if you create About page, use “no template”). Yes, it is fullscreen. Do you want to use a fixed height value? or other needs? It should be set by the custom css.

TO fix the image box issue: please download and replace this file: plugins/bm-pagebuilder/js/theme.pagebuilder.js

If we change the fixed height for slider with CSS it is for all sliders, right, I only need a 1 page exeption. Don’t worry, lets forget about that for now.

The about page, let me ask you this way: If I put a ‘Fullwidth Wrap’ on top (height-auto + Fit content to fullwidth) and place an image-module inside, it does exactly what I want. But the image is either aligned left/center/right – if it’s not as big as the browser window there’s space/background visible. Is there no way to stretch it to fullwidth, no matter how big the uploaded image is? Else I’ll have to use gigantic images.

I thought one could use the wraps own forground/background image option for that, but I can’t figure out how without weird effects (like image hides content or moves in strange ways when resizing the browser window).

Could you please explain what you can do with those wrap-options? Do you have an example?

The css could be set for the specified page/pages. It is easier than fullwidth wrap. set the page id number like(e.g.75):

The slider-post-height is a great trick, I’m sure it will come in handy. It’s very difficult to choose the visible part of the image tho, since it’s enlarged to page height and then cut off from top. I sent you the page-link per email to see why this doesn’t work for me.

I guess I’ll go with full-width wrap and place an enormous image within an image-module inside of it (if it’s not possible to stretch it automatically). This way it’s more predictable what the user sees.

Still would appreciate an explanation what the foreground/background images within a wrap do and in which cases to use them – I try to understand so I won’t have to bug you for every detail. I’m also sure one could create great effects, like parallax, just don’t know how to go about it.

Hi, sliders, I noticed that … uiueux.com/air/bmslider ... returns a 404, while … uiueux.com/air3/bmslider ... just like my site, LISTS the sliders.

The same is true for the slider pages: uiueux.com/air/bmslider/slider01 and uiueux.com/air3/bmslider/slider01

They turn up in a search on both versions: uiueux.com/air/?s=slider

Of course making them private doesn’t work. I guess one could rename them to something ridiculous to prevent accidental searches. I have to admit I’m not 100% sure what’s going on with the slider business and might be missing something; is there a way to hide them, or at least make them behave like the Air 1 demo (404)?

Hi, the permalink cache caused the demo “air” 404, I cleaned it. The page url can be shown now like demo “air3”.

There is not the option to hide the url, you could try to use a redirect link 301 (like page link to) plugin to re-direct these links.

Hello, I noticed if one disables the “Show Post (Previous/Next) Navigation On Project Item Page（Gallery Post)” within the theme-layout-settings the little ’+’ to load more portfolio-entries is gone too. I’ll need that, so my questions are:

a) is there a way to remove the PREV/NEXT links completely but keep the ‘more +’?

b) is there CSS to disable the PREV/NEXT picture animation without disabling the links, so: make the links text only?

c) alternatively, could one also display only the preview-picture-squares without text and animation?

Guess I’ll go with a) but b) and c) would be interesting too … thank you for your time and help, you’re the best!

Thank you, will do! Something else I noticed … gallery posts: square pictures use their height on 3- and 4-image rows. So they get cut off left and right a lot. Can at the moment be easily fixed by making them 1 px wider than high, but I wonder if this is a mistake? No support needed, just to let you know, thanks!

Please check if there is issue by replacing the placeholder images as real image.

Hi, if you use plain text logo and set it to ‘light’ (for dark background) as long as the white bar on top is showing (when scrolling back up) the logo doesn’t change color, so it’s invisible. The Menu icon does change, so I guess the logo should switch too if possible?

Did apply the 1.5.5 update but now the header bar on top is ALL white (with no logo or menu) if set to ‘light’ logo … this can’t be right, can it? Shouldn’t the logo switch colors like the menu used to do? Thanks for investigating!

Concerning the new update as well: can you please tell me where to translate ‘Previous’ and ‘Next’ in LIGHTBOX, I can’t find the string in POT file … have I misunderstood, is it not possible with POT-file?

I see, that’s strange, I’ve all words translated with PO/MO-files (standard). Everything else works but the Photoswipe/Lightbox translations don’t get used by Wordpress (Share/Toggle Fullscreen/Zoom in/Previous/Next/[Close]). Just now tried with brand-new PO/MO from scratch just to make sure it’s not my file, but with the same result.

Maybe you can figure it out, would be great to not have to edit theme-files after every update. Thank you for your time, you’re the best!

Hello, one feature I would like to use a lot gives me headaches, tried pretty much every setting already, hopefully you can help, please …

Pagebuilder, if you add 2 wraps, set height to ‘auto’ and insert an image-module within each there’s a SPACE between the pictures. Even if the top module is set to ‘No Margin’ on bottom.

But only with Chrome and Firefox. Safari has NO space. With fixed height wrap there’s no space in ANY browser either. I strongly suspect (and hope) the space isn’t meant to be there.

If you SEARCH with searchfield the URL becomes: uiueux.com/air//?s=portfolio with 2 // The navigation-numbers and next-link somehow work on the DEMO page.

BUT, just like on my site for some reason they don’t here: dcmjs.com//?s=saber The navigation links to ’//?s=searchterm’, without the domain, try to click the ‘1 2 3 or Next’ links.

I noticed if you remove 1 / from the URL, everything works as expected: dcmjs.com/?s=saber Tried with Safari (Desktop/Mobile), Chrome and Firefox.

I’d like to use Baskerville for headings and Lato for paragraphs

The Baskerville and Lato you talked is Google Font, are they? Which fonts use for other section?

I’m in Aspect/Theme Options/Font Settings, I’ve updated to new Google Font Data but I don’t see Baskerville listed below any of the sections. Am I doing something wrong?

Baskerville is slightly different from Libre Baskerville, it has more contrast. Is it possible to use it in Air theme? If not I’m going for Libre Baskerville version.

There is not “Baskerville” within Google font. So you can not see it in font selector.

I got that, but you told me that maybe there’s another solution to use fonts that are not Google fonts, so I wonder if there’s a way to use Baskerville with CSS code.
