Magnific Popup is desperately outdated and was replaced with Photoswipe. Please clear all file caches of your caching plugin, re-generate dynamic CSS file (by clicking “save” in theme options) and clear the browser cache.
How do I import icons? I downloaded the font awsome kit but it fails when uploading/decompressing.

Where can I edit the way the testimonials display. I want to allow for the author to be centered on slideshow and no avatar. I know I can do this in CSS but I thought there may be post type setting. I thought there used to be. not sure if I am missing something in the latest version

I like the new lightbox feature. But as vickymedrano mentioned, the download button is not good. Can you please give lightbox an own section in the theme options? So one can switch on/off the share buttons, can blend in/off picture title etc. And one more thing. Would it be possible to deactivate the right click for the lightbox pictures to prevent downloading there too?

As per all SEO recommendations, The7 posts/pages/etc has no more then one H1 tag in document. For example take a look at this page http://the7.io/main/5-reasons-lorem-ipsum-dolor/ – it features H1 tag in the title area.
Those are pages that you create. Not autogenerated pages. You can put H1 tag there as you want/need.
How can we put it? It´s simple, like ´drag´n drop´ or we need to modify something in the theme´s code?
No need to modify anything It’s as simple as applying a style in the text editor.
Hello. I bought the theme a couple of times in the past but this is a pre-sale question for the next purchase. I noticed that there are certain items in your demos that do not appear under “Short Codes” in the main demo.
I am mainly referring to the way the icons appear in http://the7.io/marketing-agency: 1 – The circular structure in Why Work with Us (can you control the number of icons?)and 2 – the way in appears in Our Process.

Hi, we are taking over a site with The7 installed as the theme (which is great news for us) ... but the prior developer did not install the child theme.
My questions are:
1) What exactly will be lost, or what will we need to re-configure if we activate The7 child theme;
2) If we do activate the child theme, can we restore the site to its current look, functionality, widget locations, css, etc. in a simple time-friendly manner.
The site is currently running The7 3.7 …

1. WordPress considers child and parent themes as two different themes and stores theme options for them separately. Therefore when you will switch to a child theme – you will get blank theme options. Therefore make sure to export options before switching and import them into a child theme.
2. Updating from v.3 should not be extremely time consuming. However consider that you will be jumping 2 years worth of updates. Therefore you will need to look through theme options and set up those that were added in this period.
Since the latest update the lightbox stopped working for me.. cant get it to work neither chrome or firefox showing anything by clicking pictures.

Why are all the plugins Branded with the7?

Because we’ve made minor alterations to them to give our users better experience. Fear not – they are fully compatible with their regular counterparts. Therefore if you have a stand-alone license for, say, a Visual Composer, you can still use it in place of The7 Visual Composer.

Right now we are using theme version “The7.2 Version: 2.1.3” and we want to update the theme to latest version. Latest version of Visual Composer plugin is not working with this old version of theme. We purchased visual composer plugin.
So we want to upgrade the theme to latest available theme.

Great theme buy literally the slowest admin panel of any theme I ave ever used. It takes 4x the amount of time to get anything done. It’s beyond frustrating and just not worth it.

Thank you for feedback. However we strongly disagree with it.
Here’s why:
First off, there’s no buyers badge in your profile. If you are using pirated version of theme, slow admin area is the last thing you should worry about.
Second, all admin area slow-downs that we’ve noticed were related to some buyers extensively installing plugins, not using them and leaving them active. This will definitely eat up lots of server resources.
Finally, The7 is a multipurpose theme. Like all multipurpose themes it is more resource demanding then usual blog themes. But this can only be noticed when you save theme options and The7 generates dynamic stylesheets. And it is definitely nowhere near to 4x compared to other themes..
First off, I do have a purchase code, my client purchased it for me to work on so it is not a pirated version.
Second, only 2 additional plugins were installed on this theme so it has nothing to do with the plugins. I have worked on hundreds of websites and this one is by far the slowest admin panel.
Finally, I looked through your support forum and you have quite a few complaints about this so it surprises me that you don’t acknowledge it and fix the issue.
Other than that, it is a great theme. Well done however, it is literally taking me 4x the amount of time to work on it than any other theme or custom WordPress website I have ever worked on.
