Please note that the theme has to be updated along with WordPress and plugins. Old versions can have security breaches and these can be exploited by different tools.
The old version from prior to April 2016 had a security issue which was patched in 6.7.2. Similarly WordPress prior to 4.7 is insecure.
Please make sure you update your theme, plugins and WordPress and do not stick to old versions.

I have the Better Playlist plugin that came packaged with the theme installed & activated. I’m not seeing any button to insert a playlist short code. I inserted the shortcode manually but the playlist isn’t showing up.

Hi,
There seems to be a css that overrides the theme css: https://www.screencast.com/t/JaaBOaaZp It removes the bottom margin of the p element. I think it;s a plugin causing it. fb-root is not a theme class.

Just so everyone knows, the security issues that the guy above linked to at Sucuri as well as the recent WordFence article about the TrafficTrade troubles that just came out refers to a version of Newspaper that was fixed more than a year ago (April 2016). For all of you that do not update your sites in a timely manner, you pretty much are asking to be hacked.
Also, just letting you know that I updated from 7.5 to 8.1 without any issues, well done TagDiv! Your theme rocks!

Please always make sure you use the latest version of the theme. Such attacks as you describe happen on websites no matter the theme used. The theme is not a firewall. You should use software to protect yourself of such attacks like wordfence or sucuri or any other protection software. In the current version of the theme there are no vulnerabilities from the theme side that can be exploited but there are still those of Wordpress and that is why you should use such software. Please try to update the theme again. Download the package from envato again and install the theme and the mobile theme from that package. If the problem is still there please also try to disable all plugins and clear cache and test again.

Hi! Due to constant malware issues related to your theme (https://blog.sucuri.net/2017/06/unwanted-shorte-st-ads-in-unpatched-newspaper-theme.html), we also had to update it to the newest version, luckily setting it up first on our beta domain.
The problems we are having now is that the new theme setup doesn’t display “stretched row” as stretched, and we are unable to set up the pages as they were. In visual composer, the “stretch row and content” works as it should, but “stretch row” displays the default (non-stretched background) version.
Is this a compatibility issue with VC and your theme, or something we might be doing wrong?

Sorry but our theme does not offer such in depth customization to the headers. The theme header is the same for each and every template. It cannot be changed based on the page/category the user views. It will have to be done custom if you need such functionality.

Sorry but the separator in google is not changeable. This comes from the meta data and that is a lot of information to change all throughout the theme. We have built our theme according to the schema information suggestions provided by google.

Our theme can handle any number of visitors if WordPress can handle it. Make sure that first your site is up and running properly with wordpress and the speed is the one you are looking for with default wordpress installed. Only then, it is time to switch to a particular theme.

The number of pages you can have is determined by your host. The traffic as well. If your host can handle it, so can WordPress and the theme. WordPress can handle virtually any number of pages and any traffic and so does our theme. It all depends on the hosting limitations.

Hey Guys, 48 hours since i inserted adsense code in there and none of the ad is appearing. Also, very important (is there a CSS code i can add to remove MENU from Header and also the Search button along with removing top and bottom padding ?

If the ad is new, it can take up to a week or so in some cases. This is best discussed with adsense though. If you are not sure if the ad is delivered by google or not, simply put the ad code inside a post and see if it gets rendered. That implementation does not use the theme ad system. As for the menu, please contact us via pour support forum at http://forum.tagdiv.com/forum/newspaper/ and we will provide the solution there.
