I like the lateral blog, however, I don’t see any documentation on how to add the post excerpt to the blog category page aka – lateral boxed blog – is there a link on how to add post excerpts, I have screen options checked for excerpts and also character set in module to show post excerpt at 300 characters in post elements. In theory, since Content Blocks are shortcodes activated by Visual Composer, if you activate Visual Composer you can also print via PHP the shortcode wherever you want in this way:

where “THE ID” is, of course, the ID number of your Content Block. However, since Content Blocks aren’t made for this, I’m afraid you will face some conflicts if you use them in this way.

Thanks for the reply, we already tried to use the “Sale Products” on the Visual Composer but it resulted in Owl Carousel on mobile, while we want to keep the Grid layout. So thats also a problem.
Or do you have any way to change the Owl Carousel to Grid layout on mobile view?

Hi and sorry for delay! This is pretty normal in WordPress themes development, after a few years a product can be discountinued. These 2 themes were small compared to Uncode and were designed and tailored tomsepcodic functionalities. Uncode is one of the Envato top sellers, it’s a multitude theme, we have a solid roadmap ahead and there is no intention to stop development. Let us know if you need more infos!
Not normal at all, and as a business practice it is terrible. Have you refunded those purchases and moved them to Uncode

This is pretty normal for all authors, please note that there is not a promise that a theme must be developed forever.
It’s supposed to be WPML compliant, but I have many problems with it… 1- When we create a translation with WPML, we can copy the content from the original page/post… but it only copies the content… Or, in our case, almost every content on the pages are created using options and Content Blocks… So, yes we can translate the Content Block, but we must go through all the options to make sure that we don’t forget anything… 2- Maybe related to the previous point, but the Coming soon page doesn’t work fine when I translate it: in the original language, everything is fine… But in the translation, the header/menu and footer are appearing… The settings are identical for both, so I don’t know if there is something in the php code that makes a difference for the “original” versus the translation (that is treated as a “regular” page)... So, would need help with those issues…

Uncode is not only WPML ready but also WPML certified.
1. if you use Content Blocks along a page (Header, Footer or Visual Composer) you have to make sure all the Content Blocks are translated too. If you translate a Content Block, the page will display the translated Content Block automatically
2. The Coming Soon page works in the same way: once you translated the page, you have to translate the Content Block set in the header of the page. When a visitor reaches the translated page, WPML will display the translated content block as well, not the original one, but you don’t need to select a different Content Block in the translated page, WPML do it for you on the frontend.

Well, we will buy the extended support, but still: I did translate the page (Coming Soon) and the Content block (gave it a different, French name and then translated the content)... So, yes, in the translated page, I did use a different Content Block: the one translated… So, not sure about “you don’t need to select a different Content Block in the translated page”, since if I don’t, it will take the English one (ex: English points to Page | Pages | Utility | Coming Soon and French points to Page | Pages | Utility | En construction, which is the French translation of Coming Soon)... Finally, took a look at your code and saw that it was just using CSS to hide the header and footer, so I did the same thing, but still wonder why it wasn’t hiding it automatically…

I’m displaying a youtube video with the single media module…but I’m having trouble setting it to autoplay… is it possible?
The only way I’m able to make it autoplay is if I set it to be the column background, but that way the controls disappear… and that’s not what I want at all.
Will I need to use Slider Revolution for this? I really didn’t want to.

I currently use uncode for one of my sites, and totally love it, so thank you! https://studios.weareexplorers.co/I’m looking to create another site for an events business I run. We have multiple events listed at once that I’d like to categorise by location and activity.
Is there a particular theme you’d recommend within uncode, and are there any plugins i’d need to add / customisations i’d need to make?
Any examples of previous uncode customers who have set up events using the theme?

I tried to change the theme name but there are 53 instances of Uncode being present within the CSS after changing the theme name.
Effectively the entire CSS has been ‘branded’ with many of the classes being called Uncode.
It seems as though this has been done deliberately to stop developers renaming themes. Is this correct? Please let me know as if this is the case there’s no point in using the theme.

Just to clarify: we put great attention to the layout rhythm, so we preferred to allow the user to set margins and paddings that are multiples of the main unit to avoid to lose balance and consistence with the entire layout.

The examples you have online are for spotify and soundcloud embeded files. Is it also possible to link the posters to self-hosted files?
If I were to use a 3rd party audio player, would it be possible to link the audio gallery images to trigger that 3rd party plug-in?

Hi Guys. Are you please able to answer this one….thanks! .....I would like to change the theme name so that it is the same as the website name of the client that I’m working for. However, after changing the theme name folder via FTP and changing the name in the .css header I’ve noticed that ‘uncode’ is still showing over 60 times in the style sheet. Is there a way around this please because if there isn’t the theme is of no use to us. Thanks. Andrew

However, please remember that if you change the name of the folder you will face some issues, in particular automatic updates (via Envato Toolkit) won’t be possible of course.

Hello, this is pretty normal in a theme, it is a common practice, in some cases encouraged as well by Envato: you can see the same thing in other best seller themes or in default themes like TwentySeventeen or similar or in plugins as well. This kind of selectors help to better target elements, there isn’t any deliberate plan behind that, it is just a common practice.
