This is a great theme with lots of functions, but it misses some tricky stuff once we get deeply in it. Support is great although they didn’t really help me in my issues, the theme is missing some stuff, so coding stay still an option. I was not able to do everything with the uncode VC plugins, hopefully they are great plugins that can work with and php/js knowledge helped me out a lot.
I recon this theme is the most advanced I ever seen. The team put a lot of work in it, this is insane to even think of what they achieved

The only way I have found so far is to use an infinite scroll plugin with a callback and some css to override what’s loaded in the new container. If anyone needs a hand with this just ask.
Now I am trying to find out how to change the way the new items are appearing (they appear from top in a slight animation). the VC module also is doing the same animation and no control of it has been implemented. Any simple fade animation could be done? TY

Well I solved the animation issue by adding some css, its tricky but it works If anyone need to enable the isotope infinite scroll without the VC module just ask. Cheers

Don’t you want to show your menu on mobile but keep it on desktops? What about a CSS snippet:

No, no, I want to show the menu on mobile, i just don’t want to show the dropdown menu. As in when you click on one of the menu items, then the dropdown shows below of few menu items you added on the parent menu item. I want to remove the dropdown option on mobile. Is it not clear what i mean? Don’t know how to explain better

Ok, i really don’t know what’s getting lost in translation here. There’s a menu. On every menu item, you can create submenu that opens in dropdown fashion. That part, submenu, dropdown part i want to remove from mobile version and have only main menu items shown.

Yes, it is a super simple concept: second level menu And, as I said, I would like to see your site if possible. If you need a CSS snippet I would prefer to see your site, just this.

Adaptive Images not working in portfolio?
I resize the browser, refresh, and it still loads the 1600px wide version of my image.

adaptive images are calculated on the monitor resolution, not the width of the window. If your monitor can display images of 1600px in that area they will be loaded. By keeping this in mind, do you still think there is a bug in the adaptive images?

So how can you ever test it to see if it’s working for iPhone? I’ve even inspected it toggling different devices in Chrome Inspector/Dev tools. No matter what device, it pulls in the 1600px width image. I’ve contacted support, but they only reply once every 24 hours and in the middle of the night.
The only way to test website for devices ( only Apple ones ) is to use the Simulator https://developer.apple.com/library/content/documentation/IDEs/Conceptual/iOS_Simulator_Guide/GettingStartedwithiOSSimulator/GettingStartedwithiOSSimulator.html all the other tools will never give you the real values. Once you have the Simulator installed you can use the Safari web inspector as explained here https://unrealnavigation.com/blog/web-inspector-with-ios-simulator
So other words, we should just take your word for it that the smaller image size is loading for mobile and not the full-size? Even though when you inspect the image it clearly lists the full-size image even after resizing/refreshing the browser? Hm.
Resizing and refreshing won’t help it since the script is catching the screen resolution and not the window resolution. We are quite confident about the fact that it’s working ( we are not trying to foul anyone ) but anyway as I wrote earlier there are ways to test it properly, you just need the right tools. Maybe you could try to use the 30 minutes free trial of this https://www.browserstack.com/ then you have the possibility to test various devices.

Sorry but at the moment Uncode doesn’t provide anything to create popups. We can only recommend to look for something among 3rd party plugins.

I’ve followed directions on using a caching plugin for the theme. I made sure I didn’t minify the js files you listed, gzip, etc. I’ve tried SuperCacher that comes with my hosting. I’ve tried the W3 Total Cache plugin. The only time my score improves is when all my images get insanely blurry after I apply a caching plugin. I tried disabling adaptive images. I tried turning on asyn images. the only time I have a good score is when asynch is on, but my images are blurry. What do I have to do to not have a slow site? My images aren’t huge. I’ve been at this for two days and I’m past the year support date. It’s like a this horrible catch 22. blurry images but fast or a score of like 4 on Google.

Hello, I’m afraid the issue is with your SSL certificate, it is not related with the theme. You have to set up it differently, as far as I can see. If you don’t know how to do that I recommend to contact your provider.

Which host do you recommend for the theme? My host has Max Input var value 1000. Though they can change it to 3000, it needs to restart Apache to take effect and they are not willing to do so for a shared hosting customer.

- yes, you can: Uncode allows to customize the layout of post archives. But, if you mean that you want to assign a different layout to each category, no, I’m sorry. The only customization available in this case is the featured image, but once you define from the Theme Options page a layout for post archives, it will be the same for all categories, tags etc. with the only exclusion of Author archive page
- I think I already answered your second question with the first point as well
- Uncode comes with the plugin Related Posts for Wordpress that provides also a basic widget. I recommend you to have a try with it

This kind of features, usually, doesn’t come from themes: Uncode and other eCommerce themes only provide compatibility with WooCommerce plugin. I recommend instead to take a look among WooCommerce extensions or 3rd party plugins.

In an article of July 12, 2017, called 9 Caching Tools & Plugins to Speed Up Your Uncode-Powered Website, you indicate that: “It’s also important to use a theme that provides adaptive images” and then you suggest after that a few cache plugins.
And regarding the settings for the WP Rocket plugin, you also indicate that “Once you’re in, you’ll want to turn on the Asynchronous Adaptive Image System feature”. In the last Theme Options screenshot provided in the same article, we clearly see that the Adaptive Images setting is also assigned to the On position.
So far, everything is OK.
But unless I’m misguided, you also said the following in a support page, which appears as a contradiction to the article mentioned above:
If you use a page caching plugin such as Wp Rocket, Autoptimize, W3 Total Cache, WP Super Cache, WP Fastest Cache, etc… we remember that these plugins create a static version of web pages, so you can not use Adaptive Images (which are PHP dynamic based on the device that loads the page) but only Asynchronous Adaptive Images that apply the final resolution images via dynamic JavaScript.
So, while it’s granted that the Asynchronous Adaptive Image System option setting must be assigned to the On position when using a cache plugin, my question is:
What is the final recommended setting for the Adaptive Images option when using a cache plugin?
Should it be assigned to the On or Off position?

Hi zakoops! Maybe I don’t get you but to use the “Asynchronous Adaptive Image” option the “Adaptive Image” setting must be set to ON upwards. “Asynchronous Adaptive Image” is child of “Adaptive Image”.

My understanding then is:
- Both “Adaptive Images” and “Asynchronous Adaptive Image System” must be set to ON when using a cache plugin.
- However, “adaptive images” will not be served, only the “asynchronous” ones via JavaScript when the page is loaded.

1. Yes there is an option to remove the smooth scroll.
2. You have dozen of typo options and you can use Google Fonts, TypeKit, Font Squirrel and any custom web fonts…
3. You don’t need additional plugins if you want to sell product with the native functionalites that are more then sufficient for most of shops. Anyway since WooCommerce is an extended plugin you can verify on their website.
4. The functionalities is not influenced by Uncode, so if you can do this with the native WO theme, WooCommerce and Sensei you can replicate in Uncod too.
5. This is not native of Uncode and from what I know not native of any top seller themes, this is most plugins territory.
