do you have an AMP for newspaper theme?

How do I update the theme? When I go into Newspaper -> Welcome -> update script it tell me
“Import script started:
> Newspaper 4 settings not found in database! td_008 – not found > Quiting!”
and when I download the Theme’s latest version from ThemeForest and install it as a new theme it says
“Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
Destination folder already exists. /home1/*/public_html/.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/
Theme install failed.”

Hi, could you PLEASE disable the annoying feature (theme activation) with the popup that spam my admin when working with your fantastic theme. You should know better than using a popup-spam-feature like this. I make sites for my customers and when it’s ok, my customers pay their own license and everyting is ok. During the production phase I sometimes switch themes because new features are required and another theme or plugin do the job better. I got my own licenses for ALL of the themes and plugin I use and my customers buy ALL themes and plugin when the site is OK. You got 15-50 sales through me and my network because it’s one out of five themes I recommend. I will have to consider to use and recommend your theme if you spam your paying customer… even if your theme is one of the best ever.

Sorry for the inconvenience of the pop-up. A simple and elegant solution would be to use your key to activate the product until you finish the project and then reset the activation from the system status screen once you are finished with the site and the customer can then activate it using his own envato key. https://www.screencast.com/t/vijxOWXO9sFI hope this helps. Thanks for response. If it’s possible to use my key on multiple sites during this process, it works just fine for me. I thought that I could only use the key on one site at the time. So… it’s not spam or a bug… it’s a feature. I can work with this. Thanks.

How do I use adsanity plugin on the home page when I want the demo layout to start with. Also Newspaper 8 is giving me issues with widget ninja. I am using widget ninja that works on every other website I have except newspaper 8 and i think its to do with tagDiv setup. The benefit for me of using adsanity is that i get better reporting for in house ads, the benefit of widget ninja is that i can choose which ad widgets to show on which pages. unfortunately your theme is not helping me. Please give advice. I am using a dummy website now, once i have done the work I will replace and register the website on a friends domain. phillipgimmi.com. My website is just the staging domain until it is ready.

Unfortunately premium themes are not compatible with all plugins. The code is custom and sometimes the plugins cannot recognize it. I;m sorry but I cannot help with untested plugins. The only tested and recommended plugins to use with our theme are these ones:

BuddyPress- social network plugin
Font Awesome 4 Menus- icon pack, supported in the theme menus

Wp User Avatar- Change users avatars
Anything beyond this list is not tested and I cannot say for sure if it will work or not.

Dear Sir,
I must thank you for this wonderful theme as i am really very happy to install it for my newspaper.
I just need to know is it possible the change the sittings of mobile theme plugin to be active with iPads instead of showing the full website on iPads.
In addition, I have a small problem when i activate the mobile theme plugin the menu button does not work even though i have selected the menu?!
The footer also does not show the correct sittings that i set?!!

Sorry but an ipad is not considered a mobile phone. The ipadt has a large screen and can accommodate the desktop version of the theme. The mobile version only shows up on screens smaller than 767px There is no simple way of changing this implementation though. As for the mobile theme issue, it has already been fixed. Please update your theme again from envato and install the theme again from that package.

Sorry but unfortunately there is no RTL version of our theme and we cannot provide any customization services at the moment. If you have the money and are willing to pay for the modification you can simply hire a developer from sites like studio.envato.com For the moment we have no plan on implementing the RTL direction into our theme.

i have newspaper theme for my news portal. My home page is default newspaper & its ok. I have categories & subcategories on home page . When I post any news it shows in sub category, in category but don’t shows in targeted category on home page. There are multiple post showing in different categories. It seems home page categories are not syncronised with system. Please guide me how I can get it resolved. My domain is naradonline.com. Thanks

The posts show up in blocks based on the block settings you chose for the blocks: http://forum.tagdiv.com/block-settings-tutorial/ A new post will appear both in the main category block and in the sub-category block. Here is an example on my end. I have created a new post (named ‘new post’) and added it to the main category and the subcategory. I have 2 blocks on the page, one showing the main category and one showing the subcategory. https://www.screencast.com/t/T7pBAbPz5H As you can see the post shows up in both the main category and the sub-category blocks. Every page has a top padding added by the theme. This padding can be removed using this code:

I don’t know why but the settings in the theme panel keep resetting to default every four days or so, meaning I have to go back through them to restore the settings I want. It only happens with Newspaper.

This is a strange issue. This could be a plugin conflict or a host related issue. Please contact your host and disable any optimization and cache from the hosting side, and please do not use any untested plugins: Tested Plugins:

If you still encounter issues, try to create a sub-domain with a fresh install of wp and the theme and see if the settings reset there as well.

I’m having trouble with Block 3… I changed the size of the thumbnail to a bigger size, but I can’t get 2 columns, just 3. I tried to use:

If you alter the default sizes of the thumbs, you will most likely break the theme layout. changing the width of the block is not recommended, Now I see you have managed to make it display on 2 columns but the alignment is off: https://www.screencast.com/t/wv31ubsVXnD There is no simple way of forcing a block to display on 2 columns instead of 3. There are more implications to it then just the css part. I suggest hiring a freelancer to help out with the needed code implementation or choose another block that will show content differently.

Can I build a new block based on Block 3 that just shows 2 columns?!

You can if you have the needed coding skills or the money to hire a developer to do it for you. There is no block creator or generator in our theme. You will need substantial coding knowledge in order to create new blocks in our theme and create the layout and css for them.

Unfortunately our theme does not have this type of layout with 2 small sidebars, one on each side of the content. Our theme can only have a left or a right sidebar, not both at the same time. You can use a no sidebar layout like so: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/td-post-five-things-you-may-have-missed-over-the-weekend-from-the-world-of-business/ but you will not be able to place widgets left or right of the main content.

1) In between text, you can add any content if supported by WordPress as it is inside the post content and the theme will render it along with the post. Yes you can add widgets if they can be embedded into WP
