Thank you for your interest in our theme. The size depends heavily on the layout you use. If you use modules with large thumbs and post templates that show a full image, then you will most likely need a full HD image. If not, you can use an 800×600 size for example.

is it possible to show all the categories, the post belongs to, in category template?
I have posts, which are belongs to 3 (or more) categorys, but in Category overview you can see only one category at the same time.
In category overview, I would like to show all categorys at the same time, which the posts belong to. This ensures a better understanding among the users.
When you have a post, which is belong to category Playstation, Xbox and PC, it is better, when users can see all categorys in category template. But in this example is only shown PC in the category template. User thinks “Ah okay, is only for Pc, so it is not interesting for me”. I have a big Social Network fanbase and some users has contacted me about this problem.
Is there any option to change this? Maybe with php, css, whatever?

Unfortunately WordPress itself cannot do that. A category is a category. It cannot show other categories inside of it. It can show sub-categories though. You can create a ‘games’ category for example and add the PC, Xbox and PS as sub-categories of the games category so when you access the games category ,it will show posts from all 3 categories at once.

This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

Thank you for your interest in our theme. You can add as many categories as you want to WordPress and the theme as long as your host can handle it. How do I change JUST the hover and active colour on the text for the main menu?
The only option is a full active/hover background colour for each item. Most websites simply have a hover colour on the text and not the whole menu.

Different header styles have different hover effects on the menu. There are 12 header styles to choose from: http://forum.tagdiv.com/header-styles/ If you do not like the background hover, simply choose a header style that does not highlight the background color of the main menu.

As you can imagine a theme does not handle traffic nor increase or decrease it. It is the simple process of changing themes so the software needs to adapt to the new markup. Give it a bit of time and it will come back to the original numbers again.

another thing: is is possible to increase the size of the main container when the theme is in boxed mode?

When there is a background image or color set, the website will be boxed. Regardless of the state of the website the theme width cannot be modified. Elements from the header and footer can be forced to stretch, there are settings in the theme panel

The theme has a fixed predefined width in both cases, and the elements on the page depend on this fact. If you were to modify it, this will most likely result in broken layouts.

It is possible with some CSS code in the theme panel custom code section. Each menu item has a unique ID that can be used to achieve this. This ID can be found with the browser inspector. This is an example for the header menu

There is an option in the theme to change the menu items color, but for the whole menu not for particular menu items.

Is the post content width adjustable. We use specific size images 600px) and the post width seems to be about 700.We prefer to have the images the same size width of text content. Thank you.

The post content width with a sidebar is 696px wide. There is no setting in the theme to modify the post content width to a specific size. You could use padding to make the post content narrower, like this

Sorry about that, we had a bit of work done on our server and there was a small down time, but it’s back online now. Unfortunately the email for any user is required as it will be the main fallback for a password recovery. This is the standard way WordPress handles all users. The email address is imposed by WP. We use the exact same login system as WP only styled differently.

We are trying to update the theme form version 4 something to version 8 something, however, it completely breaks our site. Isn’t there a way to do this without breaking our website?

Hello,
Updating from version 4 will cause a few layout issues as the theme has changed so much between these versions, newspaper 8 is like a completely new theme. This happens when skipping a few year’s worth of updates. The main reason the layout breaks is that the shortcodes are no longer the same ones. Pages must e re-created in the new tagdiv composer. Posts will have no troubles, just pages.

Hello! I found your theme amazing, but I am a bit curious about the video feature. These videos avaliables in the video news demo (https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_video/) are they simple posts or there is a specific plugin to upload and manage them?
I am asking this because I would like to build a community for videos where users can upload/share their own videos.

Thank you for your interest in our theme. The video posts you mention are simple posts with a featured video. Please read this guide: http://forum.tagdiv.com/featured-image-or-video/ Unfortunately our theme does not have guest posting so a user can only post content on the site if he has access to the back-end. You will need a front-end publishing plugin but unfortunately I cannot provide any suggestions on which one to use as we have not tested any.

Please keep in mind that only the Google Analytics code has been tested with our theme. You can try using another analytics code but we cannot say for sure if it will work or not because it was tested.

Hello. Maybe I asked wrong. I need to use background ads that are generated by code, not by uploading an image. It is pretty popular way of advertising today. I can see here that this theme does not allow it, but I cannot move without it. If I install Ad Rotate plugin, which was one of earlier advice here, how will it help me?

Since our theme does not have this kind of implementation, Catalin suggested you search for a plugin that can provide the functionality you are looking for. We cannot say for sure as we did not test any ad plugin with our theme as we have our own ad system in place.
