I have been using the Salient theme for over two years now, and the Portfolio pagination has NEVER worked.
This is ludacris.
There are multiple tickets with the same issue, page 2 doesn’t load, infinite load does nothing, issues with Portfolio sorting.
The ONLY way to showcase all portfolio items is to set the number for projects to show per page. But nobody wants this.
I want to show 8 items per page, and when a user clicks the button that says “Load More”, it should “load more”.
You can tell me I have compatibility issues, or that there is a PHP issue, but it’s not, it’s just an issue that has been overlooked by ThemeNectar for quite some time now. You have made multiple customers switch hosts, remove plugins, delete and upload the theme, upgrade the theme, etc, and nothing has ever fixed this issue. The ONLY person who was able to sort out this issue had to hire a 3rd party programmer to go in and fix your mistake. Fix it already.
I am posting here because support has expired, what a joke for a public forum that you don’t even respond to, or do anything to assist your customers with.
Also, why let me type out a nice long rant on the support forum, after verifying my purchase code, only to tell me I can’t post. What a joke.
Hey haydaw, there is not a known portfolio pagination issue like you’re describing. I’d be happy to look into your setup to shed light, but i’m a little confused since I don’t see any comments regarding this problem attached to this username posted by you before – did you post them under a separate account? I’ve created some examples of the pagination option in use here:

Also, in regards to your “I want to show 8 items per page, and when a user clicks the button that says “Load More”, it should “load more”.” – there has never been a feature to load more projects by clicking on such a button, the only options are shown above i.e. infinite scrolling (that’s auto triggered) or regular page links (1,2,3 etc). Please clarify how you have such a button in your setup or just share your actual URL where it can be observed 
Hi. I set up a page and set the template to portfolio. It’s working fine, but I’m wondering if I can include content below the portfolio, or if my only option is to put it above?

In order to add content above that element, just use the page builder portfolio element instead of the page template. This way you will have full control over the layout

I really don’t understand what you mean. Can you explain it step by step. What is the “page builder portfolio element?” Do you mean where it says “page template” and it says “default” to switch it to portfolio? If so, when I add content after it goes above the portfolio section. So this must not be what you mean. Can you clarify please?Thank you
Can shape dividers be used in footer?
Hey themesic, not within the footer itself – but they could be used on the last page builder row which would be touching the footer to crate a shape leading into that section

Hi there,
I’ve some trouble with the layout of my widgets in the woo commerce sidebar. My first widget (a selection box filter) and the last dropdown widget on every page are displaying wrong. I’ve just updated to the latest version of Salient in the hope to salve this problem, but it dit not change anything. Is there a way to solve this? I’ve also tried deactivating all my plugins in case some plugin was conflicting, but this also didn’t result to a solution.
Is there a way to fix this?

For the first issue, try adding this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel:
.woocommerce .widget_layered_nav ul li a, .woocommerce-page .widget_layered_nav ul li a {
padding-left: 25px!important;
}

Hi. My client purchased this theme through her account and I manage the website for her. Is there a way I can receive notifications of new updates to the theme so I know when to log into her account and download? I can’t change her email to mine in her account because I already use that email for my own account. Do you have an RSS feed for your changelog?

I have used a blog element and selected the layout ’Masonry Blog with Sidebar’. But i am not able to see the side bar and but the blogs are listed in 2 columns.
Also i need to open the post in same way like in this blog when i click on ‘Read More’ button. Also pagination should be there.

I Set to “Meterial” but my navi is not shown 70% opacity….. and some pages are show opacity but still has spacing from the top like as.. http://claredog.com/about-2/about/ and for main banner (salient banner) has button but if i want to make link to new open page? if i set url link,,, the page is inside of my site… how can i make to open in new page if i click the button ?

1. The material skin will still leave the nav solid at the top before scrolling, if you want it to be transparent ontop as well you’ll need to turn on the option for “Use Transparent Header When Applicable” In the header navigation > transparency tab. (CSS would be needed to turn that into semi transparent)
2. Do you mean to say “new tab”? You already have links between pages in your site in the header navigation
newtab for buttun in the main banner slider, if i click it’s not opened as newtab

Hey csmithlenox! That specific example is using the classic enhanced masonry layout – the post(s) you want to look like that must also be set to “Large featured” for the masonry item sizing option

The slightly rounded edges, new tag, and drop shadow are awesome and I’d like to replicate that.

That’s not the vc button element, it’s the old button shortcode that doesn’t support custom css classes – you can add the VC button element directly in the page builder in the add elements window along side all other page builder elements

Hey kukennedy, it looks like your video box is located within a full 1/1 column sitting inside of a full width content row – in the past before the addition of responsive image sizing a few versions ago the way you’ve set it up may have worked, but to achieve what you’re trying to you’d like to limit the column size of that row now as the video box will expand to fill whatever column it’s in. If you’d prefer to not change your setup, you could also just add this into the custom css box in the Salient options panel

Ok, I tried fixing the column and use the 3 boxes but it is still to large as you can see here: http://richiecontartesi.com/. I tried making a custom box to do 1/5 but it says it wont work. Please advise so I can make the video normal thumbnail like it was before?
The CSS I provided in my previous response will make it exactly as it was before – please add this line:

Ok, I was able to get the lightbox to work but the image is an infographic and is very small. Can you advise on how to make the inforgraphic much larger in the light box? It is on this page: http://dominatemygame.com/ when you scroll down and click the see case study you will see it in the lighbox.
Also is their a way I can do a button lightbox and use a video instead of an image?

Thank you. #1 worked well. The only issue I am having now with the infographic is when I click it it says loading ofr over 30 seconds before the infographic appears. Can you adivse?
Hey, the image you’re loading is over 16MB – which is very far from being compressed for the web. You should be able to get that around 1MB even at the large dimensions you’re trying to use. http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/performance-optimization-guide/#image-opt
In the article, under the image optimization, I already used Ewww Image optimizer and it says it only optimized it y 1.2MB. Do you have any other options?
I used this site: http://compressjpeg.com/ and I was able to get the image down to 2.5MB. It is much faster but still slow. Are their any other options? I also set up BWP minify and w3 total Cache exactly how you put in the article.
Hey, you could get quite specific with the quality and size for an image output in Photoshop, do you have that or similar image editing software?

It only offers the 400 weight of the specific text. I can select it for use; just not at any other weight.
The list of fonts are generated through the Google API via the redux framework – i’ll do a refresh of the list to hopefully sort that out. If you’d like access to the beta with it, just send an email in regards using the contact form on my author page
