Hi. Love the theme, I have added the following custom CSS to increase the banner size on pages.
.page-header-top { background-size: 100% auto; } .m-fixed-header .page-header-top-inner { padding-top: 350px; }
Unfortunately, doing mobile testing I found that a big blue block appears on the top and bottom of the photo – doesn’t look great. Is there a way to amend the way the banners look on mobile?
Or, failing this, a way to disable banner images on mobile/tablet without removing the page title?
Any help would be appreciated

you need to generated your custom font via https://icomoon.io and then load all the required files via the child theme. This requires some WordPress coding knowledge so I advice you to hire a freelancer for the job. Customization like this is unfortunately not covered in support.

Issue with Menu Bar overlapping “cutting off” Title Bar Texts on all pages when website window is maximized viewed full screen on computer. Works fine when top menu is not present on small screens. However it needs to be fixed.
I’m using (Home 1)Template and have not messed with any coding. I noticed in the template preview yours works and is not cut off. There must be an easy spacing margin padding fix. Please advise. Thanks

I’ve tried resizing it to various resolutions but I was not able to make it cut off (I’ve tested in Firefox and Chrome). Can you please share a screenshot? However, this title text area was not meant for such a long text so if cut off does happen under certain circumstances, there is not much I can do about this. You either have to cut on the menu items or on the title text. Or make the title text bit smaller, you can try this CSS:

Hi, I how do you edit the text that appears when you hover over the different squares on the home page? For example, if you hover over painting, it says “It also provides a suitable film for repainting and avoids” and then if you hover over “sanitary” it says “Failure to prepare the surface properly will mean”... How do i change this?

Hello, Just purchased and installed the Blue Collar Template to create a Professional Plumbing Website for a friend. I am an old school graphic designer new to wordpress, but understand how it all works for the most part.
I need support Adding a separate Top Bar Quick Contact Bar, which is eye-catching for (Phone, Request Estimate-email form button, and facebook link). This needs to be completely ABOVE the template as the plumbing service customers need quick easy user friendly communication.
I followed instructions exactly for installation for both Blue Collar and child, with plug-ins. After days of being stuck, I am unable to find a way to create such top bar quick contacts with this template.
I'm Using Template "Home 3" style. I love that style but need "top" links.I have found a couple plug-ins other people have created i.e.(Speed-Contact-Bar). I don’t want to start installing random plug-ins which could cause future issues.

unfortunately, customization is not included in the support, however I can give you some hints. I am not sure if you want to use the topbar from the homepage 1 (under services) or want to create a new one, anyway, in case you want to use that one, copy the code from components/page-header.php lines 209 – 273. And paste it before line 23 in the header.php file (in your child theme! – copy the file from parent theme if you haven’t already). This is really a very bare bones solution, more coding work will be required to really make it work and look good.

Hello, I’m having a problem with the “Google Maps” element. The maps do not have the right dimensions and take up all the space on a page. The dimensions in the iframe are good (450×600) but the result is not good. I thought the problem was Visual Composer but they said: “he issue is because the Google map element at your end is modified by the theme author by customising it’s output. You can get in touch with the theme author so that he can guide you with the modified map element at your end.”

I am sorry, I’ve confused it with another theme of mine, you actually do have the latest version. Please open wp-content/themes/bluecollar/library/js/scripts.js and remove lines 43 to 45.

Well, click on the link and see for yourself that the code is still present. Maybe you server is using a server side cache. Try to wait for few hours or contact your hosting provider. There is unfortunately nothing I can do with this.

That was it. The plugin folder was there but no way to activate it, i deleted the folder and re-installed and the site is back ..thanks heaps

for the LSVR Toolkit plugin, under wp-content/languages/plugins. Language files should be named “lsvrtoolkit-xx_XX.po” & “lsvrtoolkit-xx_XX.mo” where “xx_XX” is your language/country code. So in your case it should be “lsvrtoolkit-tr_TR.po” & “lsvrtoolkit-tr_TR.mo”.
For the theme itself, put it under wp-content/languages/themes and name it “bluecollar-tr_TR.po” & “bluecollar-tr_TR.mo”. If it won’t work, then try “lsvrtheme-tr_TR.po” & “lsvrtheme-tr_TR.mo”.

Yes, I mean demo images. As u correctly said most of them are removed now. So Can you update theme with latest demo images or add images as part of package.
Images are copyrighted, so I am not allowed to bundle them with the theme.
In services are on the homepage. Only MORE INFO button clickable. I want to change this function to whole part of services item. For example when i click the electricity box it send me the more info link.

Edit: the button is not clickable at all, if the title is on 2 lines. Then the button tends to disappear behind the white gradient on the bottom. Therefore in this case, the button does not function at all.
The longer the title, the more the button disappers. On a very long title, the button is not even visible at all.

Concerns the “blog” archive page // “more” button // white gradient overlay prevents click on button

I just tested the blog archive page on the site. On the blog option, if you fill in the abstract and activate the “more” button, this button is only clickable on the first half of the button, because the gradient overlay on the bottom on the article excerpt is not clickable.
There seems to be a z-index problem of this design. As a matter of fact, this gradient goes over the button by half. Therefore it seems as the button is not clickable at all.
Could you please correct this?

I just finished my website in blue collar theme but i see that at the services page the title at the taB appears “Services Archive”. The page is in italian and i have translated everything. Theme Options / Services / Services Page Title option changes this, but if you tried that and it does not work then check out your Yoast SEO plugin options as it is likely overriding that.

That’s another issue. I can’t adjust SEO on that Service. There is no SEO on this page. I can’t edit anything. It took the services as they are from the services list.
You mean you don’t see SEO metabox when editing Service post? If so then make sure to enable it by clicking in Screen Options in upper right corner when editing the service post.
Ad tab title: there really seems to be an issue with that, I will need to take a deeper look at it and will release a fix in the next update.

The services archive is not a standard page so of course you can’t edit it in the same as a regular page. There’s Theme Options / Services for that, however I see there is a problem with the title so as I’ve said, I am going to fi it in the next update.

I am sorry but that is way outside of the scope of the support. The way how Yoast handles custom post type archive pages has really nothing to do with the theme itself. Check out this article, however if you are not developer yourself then it probably won’t be very helpful.

I am working on a new update so I took a look into this issue. I’ve found out that Yoast SEO allows you to set your post archive title under SEO / Titles & Metas / Post Types / Custom Post Type Archives (you need to scroll down to see this section) and then simply change the rules for Services or Projects. It works without any changes to the theme.

well if it worked till now then it must be caused by either some 3rd party plugin which you’ve installed recently or some sort of server configuration. So try to disable all 3rd party plugin which are not bundled with the theme first.

My site’s them is the blue-collar CHILD theme. I have translated both the LSVR toolkit and the blue-collar parent theme via poedit. The french languages .po and .mo files are in the languages folder.
The admin language is set to french. Everything in the admin is translated (general admin + toolkit + plugins) but not the parent theme which remains in english. Also the front-end remains in english.
How can I force the parent theme to use its french translation?

Edit: if I use the parent theme directly I have the same problem. It remains in english.
Could it be related with the fact that I imported the demo content?

Done. Doesn’t change much. All the “Theme options” interface is still in english, although Loco tells me it is translated to about 40%.
Loco sees the french translation file. I can edit it.
But this doesn’t help.
Why does LSVR Toolkit work flawlessly in french with my translation and why is the template (front and backend) still in english. Something wrong here.
And to be honest I hate using Loco Translate. I have bought the pro licence of Poedit because of the translations memory and the easy editiing. So I installed Loco as you requested.
Try to rename your .po and mo files to “lsvrtheme-fr_FR.mo” and “lsvrtheme-fr_FR.po” and put it into wp-content/languages/themes. Then rename your Toolkit plugin .po and .mo to “lsvrtoolkit-fr_FR.mo” and “lsvrtoolkit-fr_FR.po” and put it into wp-content/languages/plugins
Yes!! This did the trick !! Thank you very much. Now the theme is translated in both the front and backend.
LSVR Toolkit translation was already working so I did not have to rename it.
But it is more safe to put it into wp-content/languages/plugins so you won’t lost the translation if you update the plugin in the future.
