Hey there! First of all, amazing theme…but I guess you don´t hear that the first time!
Just one simple question… As I use a big logo above my menu, I want to keep the stick header but need to get rid of the logo.
How can I: a) remove the logo on sticky header? or b) place the logo on sticky beside the menu instead of above?
I want to keep the logo above on landing screen…but as soon as the user scrolls down, I want to either disable the logo on the sticky menu, or move the logo beside the sticky menu.

Thanks for your reply! I´ve found another workaround and removed the logo so there´s just the menu…on the landing page I have a single image under the menu… So that´s fine!
But now I face another huge problem. I cannot translate the strings like “Read Article”. If I start Loco Translate and look for that string, it´s NOT in the theme PO file. It seems to be located in “nectar_salient_strings.pot” which is a template file and can´t be translated.
If I chose the theme file to translate there is just ONE string I can translate which is “salient-child-theme/salient-child-theme/salient-child”.
Can you help me with this please? This is really important!
BTW I am running the Child Theme…
Hey, the nectar_salient_strings.pot file can actually be used to generate your own .po file – don’t use the old default.po file. In Loco Translate > Themes > Salient > Advanced you can set the path to the .pot file. For the Template file field use “lang/nectar_salient_strings.pot”
error with salient 8.5.3 when trying to ‘manage’ custom saved elements in the visual composer. the error is Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘render’ of undefined. im using wp 4.9

I have a freshly downloaded of the latest version of Salient – I’ve just uploaded to a brand new Wordpress install – however when I try and instal Visual Composer through “Appearance > Install Plugins” I get the following errror:

Do you have any other plugins installed currently and have you checked out the plugin directory permissions to verify that they’re high enough given that it’s a new setup?

Thanks for the reply.
There are no other plugins. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the theme.
I have ensured all directory permissions in public_html are set to 755 and all file permissions are set to 644.
I have also tried manually uploading the VC plugin using “plugins > add new > upload plugin”
Whether I use “appearance > install plugins” or “plugins > add new” I get the same result with the following errors ( the file is referenced in the error is often different each time I try – see below).

Hey, could you please check with your hosting company that the ownership of the WP directory is correct? The entire WP tree should be owned by the process under which PHP is running
I must admit that this is the first time since buying the theme I have had so many issues with an update.

Hey, yes I am – Im using “Gravity Forms Geolocation Add-on” – this allows people to geolocate when filling in address. Unfortunately cannot turn this off!
I have another theme (using vc) and has same plugin set up but maps seem to work fine.
Anyway you can take a look? Think I mailed you my logins yesterday. Really appreciate it! Only think stopping the launch atm xx
The raw VC gmaps elements is not loading the actual Google maps api, it’s just an iframe embed where as the Salient map is more robust and needs the actual JS api. This is where the conflict is coming from since the geolocate addon is also using it, and likely adding some version as well. Could you please share a copy of the addon for testing purposes via email so I can look into it?

We’ve updated to the latest version of Salient 8.5.3 and WP 4.9. We are experiencing some very slow load times and wondering if you can help us diagnose the problem. In particular, our portfolio page (http://hellohinge.com/work/) is very sluggish, both for users and when testing using gtmetrix.com. Any ideas how to improve loading speeds, in particular? gtmetrix.com suggests minifying CSS, moving js to the footer, but I’d appreciate your take.

Also, I would recommend considering using pagination on your portfolio – if you use infinite scrolling for that, the load times would increase noticeably right away

I can’t find a way to change the color of the underline bar that pops up when using the Search function in the main navigation. Right now it’s the default electric blue even though I’ve changed all of my theme accent colors to orange. Any ideas? Thanks!

All my custom template file was deleted after update. Worst update ever, it only erase all your folder, and install it with the new. Never seen a stupid update method like that.

Hey Visad, the Envato Market plugin was created by Envato and maintained by them, not ThemeNectar http://envato.github.io/wp-envato-market/ most premium themes sold through Envato use this method of updating.
You should be using a child theme for modifications, especially if you’re creating custom template files to avoid any extra work when updating, but if you’re not – it’s up to you to keep track of your own modifications to theme files when updating. Taken from the official WordPress docs at https://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes “If you modify a theme directly and it is updated, then your modifications may be lost. By using a child theme you will ensure that your modifications are preserved.”

I have a problem.
I’ve updated WP to version 4.9 and Salient to version 8.5.3
In the admin the Salient panel is empty and I can’t click anything. Also VC in not working.
I get a javascript error;

I have just had to RENEW my support of $50 to get some help because your theme doesnt work with pop-up boxes. Not only have I had to go back and forth trying to fix this, I have had to pay a developer (over $100) to try and get a popup box to work, that ended up breaking the site.
Even though I have tried to renew your support, it wont let me reply to your ticket ’ Private Ticket #1356635 ’ as its stating that I havent renewed! and my support has expired!
I URGENTLY need someone to look into this properly. If you are such a popular theme, you need pop up boxes to work.
Please can someone fix the problem sp I can reply, I have created a new ticket ’ Private Ticket #1374533 ’. I also feel that I should be refuded for the extra support as thius should have been fixed ages ago as your pop up box isnt working so I had no option but to use another plugin.. whoch your saying you cant look at because its 3rd party.

Since the latest “update”, every time I make any sort of change on a Page, it automatically scrolls to the bottom of the page… very annoying! Another bug is that in that in the Page Header settings at the bottom of the page, the options to select Background Color, Font Color and Overlay color are all gone. So basically, can’t make a new page till this is fixed…

1. Hey, This is a known issue with the old version of Visual Composer and WP 4.9 – WPBakery released a fix which Salient integrated a couple days ago. To get it, just update your version of Salient to the current release (8.5.3) and then update your Salient VC from the plugins section in your admin panel.
2. There is no current known issue like this, please ensure that no third party plugins are causing this for you. If you have, kindly reach out in regards with your admin credentials in regards so I can see what’s going on https://themeforest.net/user/themenectar
