why does this themes ignored medium and thumbnail size? Every time i insert image into post, the image always go to the full size a.k.a stretched to 696×696 px no matter i use thumbnail or medium size

If your image is smaller than 696 px, it will not get enlarged by the theme. The theme only crops images, it does not enlarge them. It will not use the medium thumb, yes, as the theme uses it;s own thumbnails found in the theme panel under block settings

But every time I insert image into single post, let’s say 1000×1000px and align that image to the center with medium size (300×300), when I preview the post that image getting stretched to 696×696px automatically and the quality is really terrible

I am (was?) a huge fan of this theme. Very well coded and designed.
But now that they started to introduce their own page builder things become strange. They say that they will continue support for Visual Composer but I cannot believe that.
Whenever a theme updated comes in, their page builder is automatically activated. That is a problem because Visual Composer AND their page builder do not like each other.
But for me to move to their page builder entirely is too early (or will never be possible) because I have too many Visual Composer enhancement plugins that add functionality not existent in their page builder.
It seems I have to move from this theme – sad.

It does not have to get weird at all. Visual composer will most definitely get updated so you do not have to worry about not being able to use the page builder. We will not add new elements to it, but still provide the updates from wpbakery. The tagdiv plugin activates automatically, yes, but it can simply be deactivated if you do not want to use it.

Why are you not updating the change log? I don’t know what changes have been made and if I should update or not.

the post views is only working if the option is enable keep counting with cache plugins. Well i don’t have any cache plugin at all, but when I turn this off views are not counting at all

This means you have caching you do not know about. If you refresh the page and the counter does not increment then there is definitely caching on. does this theme block youtube autoplay embed code? I import youtube videos using automatic plugin but suddenly autoplay option not working anymore after activating newspaper theme

Hi, I have already updated to the last newspaper version, I stated clearly on my original comment. My support has expired. So this is ment to the public to read, other newspaper users. No one else has this problem?, the Save changes button is working ok on your WP Backery Builder editor?. I’m 100% sure it’s not working on mine, the button is not working. Last newspaper update (the one from two days ago).

We have not experienced this issue in the new WordPress update at all. Visual composer works properly. Did you check plugins though? Disable all of them except visual composer and clear cache afterwards. Then test the page builder again.

Hi it’s not a plugin issue it’s a browser compatibility issue, Save changes button works ok on IE, button works on Chrome, but it does not work on the latest Firefox update, 57.0. This is something only you can fix. Please double check, I’m talking about the same page, same installation, same computer, same everything only diferent browser.

You did not mention firefox though. It seems visual composer indeed has an issue on the new version of firefox. Test it on a wp default theme as well.

Hi, yeah, I understand its a visual composer issue. But since visual composer comes bundled with this theme you are the ones in charge of providing us with the fix. Since visual composer has been outdated from the last two theme’s updates I hope you come with a fix for this soon. Even when I can switch to Chrome in order to Save changes I work all the time on Firefox (for obvious reasons) so me and all Firefox users will be very happy if you get this to work as neat as before.

Visual composer is indeed bundled with our theme but we cannot create updates and fixes for the plugin. The best we can do is let the theme author know about the issue and wait for them to fix the plugin. We have absolutely no control over this.

Yes it is possible, but you will have to edit the theme files in order to implement it. This effect can be seen on many sites, not just the newspaper theme. It is the way css works. That is why it;s called ‘cascading style sheets’ Css does not change the code, it writes another one and renders all of it including the original one. It will first load the original css and then load the color changes. The effect is amplified when google recommends moving the stylesheet to the footer of the website. That causes css to load even slower and make this effect more visible. The best way to go about it is to add your css directly in style.css in the main theme folder.

activation ? I have this theme for more than a year, so I already have activate the theme, and the pop-up shows nothing about activation and I never wrote that. And yes the popup has to do with child theme. read my post again please.. the pop-up shows up when I want to edit something in the code.
The theme offers absolutely no popup except the one for the activation. That is why i assumed it was the activation popup. IF this really isn’t the activation one, it could not be a theme popup at all. Hello guys. After update to WP 4.9 i cant create new or editing pages by using WPBakery Page Builder. If i add a new element e.g. Big Grid5 it will show in Backend but it is not possible to save changes. Nothing happend and the changens will not appear.

Hey guys, I’ve just experienced a weird bug. After updating wordpress to latest version all my logos are gone. I’ve checked themepanel and the logos were missing and I can’t even upload a new one. The upload buttons are not working. Can you fix that issue please?

Theme was already updated to the newest version of today… (!). I cleared all caches, etc, but still missing my logos. Also changing someone else display name from nickname to First and Last Name is also not working anymore. It’s asking for passwords.
