Hi, I’ve already purchased this theme, and now my company wants to upgrade their website, using the same BeTheme, but for me, I’m planning on using a demo website (and of course the customizations), to modify a demo, so that it matches exactly what my organization wants, I’ve tested this on MAMP, but it is asking me for the registration code, which I already used on my company’s main domain, and was wondering if there is any way, under the same theme, that I can use a BeTheme demo website on MAMP or a subdomain of the company’s website domain, before I override the existing BeTheme on our domain, with the newly updated one? (sorry if it’s bit confusing), thanks!

In reference to Themeforest license and agreements, once purchased license can be used for one site/domain only. If you want to use this theme for few sites, then you must buy as many licenses as many sites you want to build. This applies to all themes on this marketplace and there is no other license available.
However, you can use one purchase code for as many subdomains as you want if your subdomains are on the same WordPress Network:

If you use a local server, please make sure that your URL is “localhost” or “127.0.0.1” then you can use the same purchase code on localhost.

Plugins like Yoast, see only the content of WordPress default editor and that’s the reason why Muffin Builder content is not visible for that kind of plugins. So if you use Muffin Builder and want to make the content visible for Yoast (you probably meant to make it visible for all these useless Yoast functions like words counter, etc.), you need to use Builder >> SEO option included for WP default editor. This option would allow you to move the Muffin Builder content into WP editor and after that, just turn on “Hide the Content” option below to make WP editor content visible for plugins like Yoast only.

I just purchased another license of your theme,
I’m using the header style – classic,
I’m trying to center the menu-wrapper as well as the actionbar
for the menu-wrapper im using:

which works while inspecting, but after inserting code into custom ccs section, it doesnt stick.
for the action-bar im using: }

- How completely does the theme support responsive images/srcset ?
- How well optimised is the theme for the various pagespeed metrics ? e.g. http://gtmetrix.com, http://www.webpagetest.org, https://tools.pingdom.com, https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/, https://varvy.com/pagespeed/—I tried passing some of your demo pages through the tests and the scores are quite good but it doesn’t seem to do any minification or perhaps more significantly aggregation of the JS/CSS that it uses/provides. Is that due to a lack of optimisation on the demos or the theme in general ? Does it break if that is done by a 3rd party plugin?
- Does the theme use CSS sprites ( where suitable ) ?
- Does the theme already structure its emitting of CSS and JS in “optimised”, “non-blocking” positions in the page?
- Does it use async / defer where appropriate/feasible?
- How well does the theme handle migrating existing sites that make use of Visual Composer ( aka. WP Bakery Page Builder ) shortcodes?
- How well does the theme play with caching plugins like W3 Total Cache, WP Fastest Cache, Super Cache and alternatively Apache – Mod Page Speed ?
- How well does the theme play with offloading static resources to different subdomains in order to improve parallelisation of resource loading by client browsers?

- Portfolio Grids/Masonry layouts etc. Can the grids be of mixed media ? e.g. some items in the grid might be associated with content with a featured image, others might be just a featured image and others might be video with a featured image. The grid displays the featured image and If items are selected in the grid then either the associated content, image or video is displayed in a popup ( and optionally if a popup is not wanted then the associated stuff is displayed in a new page ) ?
- Muffin Builder vs Visual Composer ? I’m familiar with Visual Composer ( and WP Bakery Page Builder ). Your sales blurb says you support VC ( good as I have some content that was build using it ) but where does Muffin Builder fit in to the scheme of things ? Is it yet another Page Builder that works alongside Visual composer with no compatibility issues ? Or is it one of those either or things ? I ask because I bought a theme recently that claimed to be fully responsive and optimised for seo & pagespeed but it was all a bit of a false claim. The themes own custom shortcodes did not support srcset at all and it has required a considerable amount of customisation effort on my part to get decent scores with the various testing sites. So I’m shopping around for alternatives that might serve me better.

1. Theme supports img srcset in blog, portfolio and shop images but not in custom shortcodes.
2. We do not use CSS/JS minification because the code will be unreadable for our customers. Minification also causes issues with some third-party plugins.
3. We use CSS sprites only for few, tiny images
4. We include all CSS files in the head tag and all JS files before the closing body tag.
5. No, it does not.
6. We do not offer any support for theme migration.
7. We have tested our theme with W3 Total Cache. All our pre-built websites use this plugin with defualt settings.
8. The theme does not offer any special support for these solutions.
9. CDN is not theme but server or cache plugin related topic.
10. No, just images.
11. Pre-built layouts were built with Muffin Builder tool which is lighter, easier in use and faster. We can not build those demos with Visual Composer because it’s an additional plugin and in reference to right agreements, we can not force users to use 3rd party plugins.
You can not copy data from Muffin Builder to Visual Composer directly.

1. As srcset has been in WP 4.4 and onwards for around 2 years now and you support it on some things, do you have any plans to make your custom shortcodes also support srcset?
2/7. Obviously not every customer cares about reading the source code and instead are keen to get the most performance out of their wordpress installations. Those who do care about reading the src could be allowed for by providing both original and minified/combined versions. Going back to my original intent and ignoring the chance of 3rd party plugins having an issue ( which is really nothing to do with the theme ).
One of my previous themes on a different wordpress installation I manage provided a facility for minifying/combining the JS/CSS resources it provded so was very supportive of performance enhancements like that.
So, does your theme itself cope well with having its CS/JS resources minified/aggregated? By a thirdparty plugin ( e.g. W3TC or other ) if necessary? W3TC default settings don’t do minification (AFIK) but it can be turned on.
6./11. I asked the questions poorly, I wanted to know if your theme while providing its own unique page builder has any problem with other page builders – specifically Visual Composer / WP Bakery Page Builder – being used as well ? Or do we have to choose to use just one: Muffin Builder OR Visual Composer ?
I can’t be the only person who has existing VC content who would consider not having to rebuild all that content for a theme specific page builder a useful thing.
9. I have read of some themes not liking being used via CDN’s – hence my question. Do you have customers who successfully use the theme under a CDN scheme? If so then thats a good thing and answers my question favourably.

We see that you are trying to achieve the best performance out of our theme and modify it heavily. We do not recommend doing that with any WordPress theme because you will never get that kind of speed of a website that is hosted on WordPress especially when it is a massive theme with lots of options. Remember that it is created for users that want to host simple websites or e-commerce solutions and it is not prepared for such customizations.
We suggest hiring a web developer and creating a dedicated solution that will fit all of your needs.

I am a web developer, I don’t need to be hiring one. My customer is an end-user so Wordpress is perfect for them. My questions were trying to ascertain the feature gap between what your theme provides off-the-shelf and what my customer wants. Obviously the smaller the feature gap the less work for my customer to pay me to do. Ultimately which theme my customer chooses will be determined by the answers the theme makers provide to the standard questions I am asking each of the creators for the themes that my customer has shortlisted.
You have answered most of my questions favourably so far, I don’t see why the sudden change in tone. Just because your theme might not do something – doesn’t mean a negative mark – it just means that I or my customer might have to look for additional plugins or I might have to write something extra/customisation for him.
We’ve already gotten excellent performance metrics (e.g. gtmetrix PageSpeed 97% & YSlow 98% and others) from the standard battery of web testing tools for his existing wordpress / old theme and so whichever theme my customer switches to shouldn’t get in the way of such efforts.
Wordpress optimisation and high performance ( according to standard metrics ) is a common goal these days in the wordpress community. The use of different caching plugins, optimisers and modpagespeed is very common in the wordpress community. It’s not unreasonable to check if specific themes may break under minification, compression, aggregation etc and perhaps require modifications which need to be budgeted for.
You haven’t answered my latest questions. I’ll repeat them.
1. Do you have any plans to make your custom shortcodes also support srcset at some point ?
2. Does your theme cope well with having its CS/JS resources minified/aggregated?
3. Is Muffin Builder compulsory or can we continue to just use Visual Composer ? Using a theme specific page builder tends to lead to theme lock-in, something my customer wishes to avoid. I suspect we can continue to use VC but I would just like that confirmed.
4. Do you have customers who successfully use the theme under a CDN scheme? If so then thats a good thing and answers my question favourably.

I’m inside a wrap and want to create there multiple rows each divided into 1/3 and 2/3…I used the column short codes and it only works for the first four but then it doesn’t create columns it puts them in a row, like there is no clear fix implemented??

Hello I can not realize a particular layout, please help: I want a row with full width background-image but default width content, inside two 1/2-text boxes filled with a background-color, both boxes should be same height even if they have different text length inside.
But this is not possible, the text boxes have different height…if I put each text box in its own wrap I can make the boxes same height, but they go full width because of the full with background image section.
And the row should have margins, but the builder doesn’t offer this setting, is there a reason for that?

If you want two text boxes to have the same height, please go to Section settings and select Style: Equal Height of Items in wrap | equal-height

The background image is always full width, and there is no need to set the section style to Full Width. This option only stretches the content.
