Is there a way to reduce the amount of white space between featured images and content on single posts? Thanks in advance.

“Support” is a joke! I’ve posted the same question twice and have been flat-out ignored, while multiple discussions that were posted after mine have been resolved.

Most likely you posted multiple replies in the same topic. We answer every topic from oldest to newest so writing multiple times will cause your answer to be delayed as it always gets moved to the more recent topics. The best way to get the fastest response possible is to create a topic and wait for an answer without replying again to it so it will not get renewed. A “bump” reply will have the opposite effect on our forums.

I tried to install craft idea theme using Hostgator, but 8.6 just crashed my theme panel.

This could be a plugin conflict so please disable all plugins except the page builder, clear cache and reset cdn files if you use it. Please also check any custom code you might have added to the theme panel or the theme files. If you use a child theme, please switch to the main theme to make sure it does not affect the proper functionality of the theme.

The 3 grids are not showing on mobile theme by default. Documentation says:”top grid – displays 3 featured posts (posts included in the Featured category)” I have a static page and they aren’t displaying. Just the latest articles are.

This means you do not have posts added to the ‘featured’ category. Please access the categories section of wordpress and check if the featured category exists and if it has posts added to it.

Please check your page css as there seems to be a bottom padding of 40px added on that page. The theme does not add this value.

Update 8.6 update caused HTTP ERROR 500. The site is not working anymore after update and it’s about a paid membership site. This is bad.

This is exactly the reason I’m leaving tagDiv. You don’t recognize you’ve made an update available filled with bugs (see your support forum).

The http 500 error is caused by this theme. Not plugins, the server is perfect or any other excuse.

Hello, i updated the theme to the last version of 8.6 and i have the same issue with the social icons as has been reported from other site owners above.

What i have noticed in my site is that the social icons atr not looking good only in you are connected in the panel. The readers can see the social icons without any issue.

Please see this picture . It is from the theme panel and shows how the social icons are looking like

Now if you enter the article (not as a reader but connected to the panel as admin) you will see the below picture

If you click on the funny button (circled in blue color) then the social icons appeares along with the funny button at the end. See below picture

So summarizing, the problem i am facing with social buttons after updating to 8.6 is only when you are connected as admin (or author…etc) and it is described as above.

The readers can see the social buttons but with the funny button at the end

This is a caching issue on your end. Please clear your cache and purge cdn files and also clear your browser cache. Did you try to login from a different machine? If the issue is only on your device it could be a device specific issue meaning most likely the browser cache or cookies. Please try to install a different browser ant test from there.

Please try the method above. Add a few lines to your code and see the results on the front-end. We already provided the implementation needed above. You simply add it to another file. If you cannot manage to add a html code into a php file, then you will have to get help from someone code savvy.

Please check from a different browser or clear your browser cache. We got the same issue after the update but once we cleared the browser cache, everything was back to normal.

When your theme creates the picture for an embedded video it creates several of them and the file size is quite big, in general round 200kb. Is there a way how to minimize the size of those pictures, I think they are far too big and it will slow down your website due to loading time, compressed without too much loss of quality is up to 4 times smaller…. Furthermore in my case WordPress creates 23 files in different sizes, is that normal?

I face the same issues with any other photo I upload, Wordpress creates 23 pictures, some upscaled in higher resolution (worse quality as my own HD pictures I uploaded) upscaled from 72dpi to 96dpi and several picture sizes beyond 500-800kb+ and more….

That is not funny anymore, it tears down my websites speed…. :(

Hello,

Our theme does not upscale images. Please check your plugin or other image optimization tools. Our theme only crops images but it does not have any upscale options. As for the number of thumbs, please access the block settings in the theme panel and then access thumbs oin modules and blocks. Disable the thumbs that you do not use on your site. Make a list of thumbs that you use on your site so you know which ones to keep and disable the rest. This way you will reduce the number of images created drastically.

the new social icons in the update sure look weird!

The social icons have a bunch of new styles you can choose from and you can re-arrange them with a drag and drop feature in the theme panel. Please choose the style that is most appealing to you.

Hi you have again a problem with the social sharing and cdn! If you use w3tc and Host theme files is checked on cdn section, layout of social buttons is corrupted

pre-sales question: we need to have custom html side bar banners ( not ad sense) for each category- we have 164 categories- I see your default config wont allow for this- can we also just use an ad plugin that allows us to pace banners in separate side bars per category?

@Everyone – The new theme update conflicts with AMP plugin by automattic. Disable the AMP plugin and the error will go off.

@Tagdiv team – Please fix this issue, I have disabled the AMP plugin for now.
