Hi, When I select another tab from the main menu the home tab color still remains selected. So I end up with 2 pages selected. There should only be tab selected at the one time.
Thanks,
Sheelagh
Hi,
Could you provide more information so we can look into this for you, please?
1. Please leave your site URL here.
2. Please also let us know which tab you select in the main menu (and the home tab color still remains selected).
Thanks.
I think it was a delay. It is resolved. thanks
Glad to know it’s resolved. Thanks~
Hi there, Im not able to make the Read more option work. When I add a new post I insert it from the panel, I see the code in there but after publishing does not take my changes. Looks like the length is fixed.
How can I do it?
thanks
Hi,
Do you mean the post excerpt? Please check our online documentation > “Post Excerpt” chapter for more information: http://www.loftocean.com/berry-doc/documentation.html#post-excerpt
Hope this can help. Thanks.

Hi there,
is there an option to use “Berry” font inside the them or it’s just the theme custom logo ?
Thanks
Hi,
The “Berry” is a custom logo image.
Thanks.
thanks, do you have the font name ?
Yes, the font is “Selima”.
Hello,
I’m having difficulty with my Berry theme located at http://www.thistinybluehouse.com
On both firefox, ie and chrome the featured slider boxes at the top do not work. Specifically, they nolonger scroll and the left right arrows do not change the posts. Additionally, the “love it” function on each post no longer works either.
Can you please advise on how I can fix this.
Hi,
We have checked your site, and found the cause. Please see below:
1. The cause of the issue:
We found that you added custom JS code for MailChimp popup form in a text widget in the sidebar. This code must be inserted after all JS scripts in site footer, otherwise it will cause all JS scripts to stop working.
2. How to fix:
Please add the custom JS code for MailChimp popup form to the site footer, and put it after all footer scripts.
You might like to use this plugin for adding custom JS code: https://wordpress.org/plugins/header-and-footer-scripts-inserter/
After installing and activating the plugin, you can find the field “Scripts from this field will be printed after all footers scripts”, please add the custom JS code into that field. Then clear your site cache and cookies, refresh page and check again.
Thanks.

Hi, I have just tried to upload your theme and received the following error.
Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
Theme installation failed.
Hi,
Thanks for purchasing and contacting!
It seems the theme has been uploaded incorrectly. Please unzip the zip file you have downloaded, and find “berry.zip” file and upload it to your site.
Here is an article about this issue: Theme is missing the style.css stylesheet error
Hope this can help. Thank you very much.

Hello,
It seems that there is a problem with the instagram feed on the footer. I can’t see the pictures on the demo http://demo.loftocean.com/berry/ and I can’t see the pictures on my site https://www.eenleven.fr
Thanks for any help!
Best regards,
Arthur
Hi Arthur,
Thanks for contacting us and pointing out this issue.
We have checked and found that the Instagram feed image size we used in Berry theme didn’t exist anymore. We just released an update to fix this problem, please update Berry theme to the latest version: v1.2.6.
After updating the theme, please also update the required plugin “Berry Extension” from v1.2.5 to v1.2.6. (The Instagram Feed related code is included in the required plugin.) Please see this screenshot as reference.
After updating the theme and the required plugin, please clear your site and browser cache, then go to the front-end and check again.
Please feel free to let us know whether it’s working or not.
Thank you very much.

Hello! I’ve just got two queries. Firstly, is there any way to change the colour of the ‘about category’ font? The category name is in white, but the text below is in black and I’m struggling to find a background image which accommodates both. http://www.ingeniousblue.com/category/morethanmymakeup/ Secondly, I’m having difficulties inserting headings into my posts. When I move from visual to text in the post editor, there’s no html which indicates line breaks, and I have to manually add it in order to get paragraphs and headings. Is there any way to fix this? I can’t seem to figure out why it’s not happening automatically! Regards, thank you
Hi,
We just checked your site, and found that the 2 issues are not caused by the theme. Please see below:
1. The category name and description should both be in white color for “Large Page Header” style. We checked your site and found that there is a plugin “Easy Google Fonts” on your site, and it changed all of the text ( < p > tags) color to black (#0c0c0c).
Our theme has provided options for changing text color, font family, font size and line height. Please don’t use that plugin “Easy Google Fonts” to change text color because it will change all < p > tags’ color and that would cause some issues like this one.
You might like to check our online documentation to know more about changing text colors and typography settings:
Site Colors: http://www.loftocean.com/berry-doc/documentation.html#colors
Typography: http://www.loftocean.com/berry-doc/documentation.html#typography
2. WordPress Text Editor doesn’t provide html line breaks. It’s WordPress Editor’s default features, we didn’t change anything in it. You can insert a line break by hitting the “Enter” key to add a space line between normal < p > tags.
Please see this screenshot as reference.

Hope this can help. Thanks.

Hi, I am very interested in buying this theme. But before I buy it I have two questions to solve: Do you have the system for “lead capture optimised”. For us, it´s very important to capture mails as much as we can. We want to show the banner where it asks to subscribe to our website in several parts of it. With your theme this is possible? The other question is: the icons of social network (facebook, instagram, etc), which are in the main menu are very small. Can we put them in bigger size?, can we put them in different colors as well?
Thank you,
Kind regards
Lorena
Hi Lorena,
Thanks for your interest in Berry theme. Please see below:
1. Subscribe form
Currently Berry theme only supports adding a subscribe form into the sidebar. We will consider adding the feature in future updates so users can add subscribe forms into more places. Thanks for bringing this up.
2. Icons of Social Network in main menu of site header
The size and color of the social icons are a part of the theme design: clean and crisp. So we don’t have options for changing those icons’ size and colors. But it can be done by adding simple custom CSS. It’s tiny customization work which we can help with.
(Please note: theme customization is outside of the scope of Envato Support Policy. If you still need more customization services in the future, then we will not be able to help.)
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
The Loft.Ocean Team
thank you for your support
we decide to buy the theme
Thanks for purchasing. Happy holidays!
Hi there!
Have been working with the theme for a couple months now and love it, as well as the support. Thanks again for adding the subcategories page in the menu, it was great for our page.
As we´re moving forward (and still learning about WP) some doubts came up that we would like to check with you:
1. Is it possible to set the social media icons for them to open in a new tab when clicked? Can´t seem to find the option.
2. There seems to be an issue when writing the word “Qué” in spanish (“What”), as the Q and the U merge and it doesn´t look good. It happens both in the home section as in the post section. Here´s an example: http://www.plentytosee.com/que-ver-en-dusseldorf-las-casas-movimiento-frank-gehry/ Could you please let us know how to solve it?
3. In one of our sections we talk about ourselves (http://www.plentytosee.com/about/) and we had to create an image and align in with the text for it somehow to look nice. Nevertheless, the composition gets “distorted” when seen in mobile. Is there any way to adjust this better?
Thanks a lot in advance!
All the best, Fer
Hi Fer,
Thank you for contacting. Please see below for the answers:
1. Yes you can set the social media icons to open in a new tab, please check this how-to article to know how to set it: http://www.loftocean.com/berry/social/display-social-media-icons-in-header-footer-sidebar/#open-in-a-new-tab
2. It’s related to the font using on your site: “Advent Pro”. Please see this screenshot – we tested the font in Google Font library, seems it’s a part of this font design: when “Q” and “U” are both in uppercase, the 2 letters overlap each other. But when “u” is in lowercase it looks good.
So we suggest set the “Text Transform” option of page title/post title to “None” (Customizer > Typography > Page/Post Title > Text Transform), and edit this post’s title (now this post’s title were typed in all caps).
3. When you set an image to “align right” or “align left”, the text will wrap around the image when text’s height is larger than the image’s height. You can try to add the following custom CSS to your site:
@media screen and (max-width: 900px) {
.page-id-471 blockquote img {
float: none;
margin: 0 auto;
}
}
What’s the custom CSS code for: it will only work for this page (page id 471), and only work when screen width is smaller than 900px. It will center the images in the blockquote, so the text won’t wrap around the images on small screens.
Please add the CSS into “Customizer” > “Additional CSS”, like shown in this screenshot.

Hope this can help. Thanks!

Hello! I just purchased your Berry theme – when trying to add a custom html widget, it creates a colour background (the primary colour from Colors, General, Primary Color) which isn’t ideal as I don’t want there to be a block of colour, I just want it to be blank with the advert there. Is there any way to get rid of it? Thanks Jane
Hi Jane,
Thanks for purchasing and contacting.
Could you please leave your site URL here and show us the custom HTML widget? So we can check and see how to get rid of the color. Or you can send your site URL to us via email: general@loftocean.com .
Thank you very much.
Hello!
I’m trying to upload your theme to Wordpress but I am receiving an error that says ‘Problem uploading theme: Parse error’.
I’ve made sure I only downloaded the file for wordpress and I’ve followed the correct steps to upload theme. I can successfully upload other themes – it seems there is an issue with this one in particular.
Help please!
Hi,
Thanks for purchasing and contacting.
Could you please create a temporary admin account for us and let us log into your site so we can help to install the theme for you? Please send details to general@loftocean.com .
Thank you very much!
Dear Sir/Madam,
I got a message that there is a new update for the Berry theme. I don’t know how I can update the theme in Wordpress without losing all my content and customization. Could you help me?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you!
Anouck Nijholt
Hi Anouck,
There are 2 methods to update Berry theme: Auto Update with Envato Market Plugin, or update manually.
We have included the guide on how to update Berry theme in both documentation and how-to articles, you can click either one of the links below to read the guide:
How-to article: http://www.loftocean.com/berry/start/how-to-update-berry-theme/
Online version of documentation: http://www.loftocean.com/berry-doc/documentation.html#update
Hope this can help. Thanks!

Hi!
I wanted to check with you if you could give me a hand solving a doubt I have. We´re building the site plentytosee.com , a travel blog. We´re still working on everything, as you´ll see, but a doubt has come up.
On the header menu (main menu(, you can see we have a tab called “Lugares” which, when you scroll over it, leads to a category section, with its subcategories (as is the case of Lugares->Norteamérica->USA).
The idea we have would be for every category (in this case it would be geographical areas such as Northamerica, Southeast Asia, Africa…) to be an intermediate page that had icons for every country and that, when you click in each country, you go to a page where the posts tagged with that country appear. That last step we managed to achieve (this would be an example: http://www.plentytosee.com/category/norteamerica/usa/ ) but we´re not able or don´t know how to create that intermediate page. In this case that would be the “Norteamérica” page where you would find a clickable icon for each country (USA, Canada…) Is it possible to create that kind of page? If so, could you explain how?
I´m aware my explanation might not be the clearest ever (sorry in advance), but I hope I was able to transmit our doubt.
Looking forward to hear back from you.
Best, Fer
Hi Fer,
Thanks for purchasing and contacting.
Sorry but currently Berry theme doesn’t have this feature. We will add it in the next update.
And thank you for the very detailed explanation. We just want to make sure we understand the requirement correctly before adding it:
Do you mean: when a category has some sub categories, visit the parent category page, it shows subcategories instead of posts? For example, if the category “Norteamérica” has 2 subcategories “USA” and “Canada”, when visit the “Norteamérica” page ( http://www.plentytosee.com/category/norteamerica/ ), it will look like this mockup. Then click on “USA” to go to a page with all posts of this subcategory.
If we misunderstood the request (sorry in advance
) please feel free to let us know. Thanks!
Cheers, The Loft.Ocean Team
Hi again,
Yes! That’s exactly what I was looking for, so glad I could explain it well enough. Thanks for your answer, it’s great to hear you’re planning to add this feature! Is there an ETA of the next update? (In order to know when we’ll be able to add it to our site)
Thanks again, Best
Hi Fer,
No worries! Our team has been working on the next update recently and it will be released in about 7 working days. We will leave a comment here to let you know when it’s available. Thanks.
Cheers, The Loft.Ocean Team
Hi again,
That´s awesome! Thanks again.
Best, Fer
Hi Fer,
We have updated Berry theme to v1.2.4 and in this version you can choose to show subcategories on parent category page.
You may like to check online documentation or take a look at the example page.
Thanks!

To whom it may concern; I love the design of your site and am planning on purchasing it, but have one question before I do. Within the categories, there are no titles on any of the posts, just thumbnails. I worry my readers might find his hard to navigate and confusing, is there a way to turn on blog post titles within categories? Or will clicking into categories only ever show thumbnails? Regards
Hi,
On our demo site, the category archive pages are using “Flip Grid” layout (shows featured images and when you hover your cursor on the image, it will flip to show the post title and meta).
And we have provided 11 different posts layout options for Berry theme: classic, list, grid, classic grid, flip grid… Users can change the posts layout for category page just like customize posts layout for homepage.
So you can always change the category archive page’s layout: with or without sidebar, choose another posts layout. Please see this screenshot: you can customize the category pages via “Customizer” > “Archive Pages” > “Category”.
And you can also customize author archive page and date based archive page.
Thanks!
Best Regards,
The Loft.Ocean Team
Unable to delete this comment, but managed to resolve myself! Beautiful theme, thank you
One last query; is it possible to place three columns on home page to create a grid of recent posts, such as in categories, and secondly, my header image is folded and half hidden – I’ve made sure to follow recommended image size and would like it to be same size as in Demo (strawberry)! Cheers
Hi,
Thanks for purchasing! Please see below:
1. Three columns on home page to create a grid of recent posts:
Please go to “Customizer” > “Blog Page” > “Post Archive” > “Posts Layout” option, then choose “Grid – 3 Col” to change it to the same layout as on your category page. Please see this screenshot.
2. The header image is folded and half hidden
On the Strawberry demo site, the site header is consisted of a logo image and a header background image, not just one header image. You can upload a custom logo image, then upload a header background image.
Please see these 2 screenshots:
1). Upload a logo image to site header. And you can set the logo width to adjust the logo size.
2). Upload a header background image.
Hope this can help. Thanks!

i had a friend purchase the theme for me because i didn’t have a paypal account, thought you might need this info
Hi there, I purchased your theme and i like it. When i am adding categories, there’s an error that appears saying “undefined”. I’d like to know why that is happening and also on your documentation, there was nothing on how to set up the shop page for the woocommerce, just importing demo products… Please help me with these two for now. Thanks.
Hi,
Thanks for contacting. Please see below:
1. Category “undefined” error message
It’s a small bug but it doesn’t affect functionality. It’s caused by the custom “category image” option while creating a category. There are many Ajax requests on the page and a small code conflict happens. You can still create a new category without any issue. And we will fix the bug in the next update. Thank you for pointing it out.
2. WooCommerce Shop Page
Since WooCommerce is a plugin with plenty of features, we suggest check the WooCommerce official online documentation to learn how to set up and use this plugin. There you can find very detailed guides and many useful tutorial videos.
And here are simple steps about how to set up the shop page, please see below:
Upon installation, WooCommerce creates the following 4 new pages via its Onboarding Wizard:
1). Shop – No content required.
2). Cart – Contains [woocommerce_cart] shortcode and shows the cart contents
3). Checkout – Contains [woocommerce_checkout] shortcode and shows information such as shipping and payment options
4). My Account – Contains [woocommerce_my_account] shortcode and shows each customer information related to their account, orders, etc.
To set up the shop page, on your site dashboard, please go to ”WooCommerce” > “Settings” > “Products” tab > “Display” tab, there you can find the option “Shop Page”, select what page you want to be the default shop page (you can choose the “shop” page created by WooCommerce, or create a new page and choose it). Please check WooCommerce official documentation “Configuring WooCommerce Settings” about this part.
BTW, next time when you need our support, could you please send information via email (to general@loftocean.com) and please also attach the purchase invoice (you can ask your friend for a copy and send it to us). Please see this article to know where to find the invoice and how to download it as a PDF file. We will have to verify the item purchase. That’s the Envato/ThemeForest support policy. Thanks very much for your understanding.
Best regards,
The Loft.Ocean Team
Hi, Thanks for explaining the “undefined” error bug and i will also follow the woocommerce steps you provided to create my shop page.
Also, next time i will send an email instead when i need your support with the invoice attached.. Thank you LoftOcean.
You are welcome.
Hi there! I just purchased your theme and it looks amazing, congrats for the great work! I´m trying to get everything set up and it´s looking great for the moment.
Just wanted to ask you about the “Category” page. My page´s content is in Spanish and I can´t figure out how to change the word “Category” that appears above the category name. Could you please give me a hand?
Thanks in advance!
Hi,
Thank you very much for your kind feedback.
You can change the word “Category” into Spanish by translating the text. We have translated it into Spanish, please click the links below to download the 2 files, and upload them to your WordPress site via FTP.
Please put the 2 files to the path “wp-content/languages/themes”, like shown in this screenshot. You may need to create a new folder and name it “themes” if the folder doesn’t exist.
And if you have switched the language to Spanish on your site, you can refresh the category page to see the result.
If you need to translate more text into Spanish later, please check this article to know more details.
Hope this can help. Please feel free to let us know if you have any problems/questions. Thanks!
Best regards,
The Loft.Ocean Team
Hi there,
Thanks so much for the quick and detailed reply. I´ve tried following the steps but haven´t been able to success, apparently. This is my first time uploading via FTP so I probably skipped something, but I can´t figure out exactly what.
When uploading the two files to the FTP, the route I find is web/wp-content/ , there, there´s already a “Themes” folder, that includes the Berry theme as well as others that I previously used. Could you please specify if you see something wrong there or if it´s correct and where should I exactly drop the files?
Sorry for the lack of ability… we´re all beginners at some point
Best,
Already discovered my mistake, solved! Thanks again!
You are welcome. Glad to hear that you sorted it out.
Dear Sir/Madam,
When I go to categories and select a category (for example ‘food’) all the posts on the category page ‘food’ don’t have text on it. Only the highlighted picture is showing. Do you know what I mean and could you help me?
Thank you!
Kind regards,
Anouck
Hi Anouck,
It sounds like your category archive pages are using “Flip Grid” layout (shows featured images and when you hover your cursor on the image, it will flip to show the post title and meta).
You can change the category archive page’s layout to another. Please go to “Customizer” > “Archive Pages” > “Category” > “Posts Layout” option, and then choose one layout from the list. Please see this screenshot.
Thanks!
Best Regards,
The Loft.Ocean Team
How do I get full width on the home page? I’ve already done all I can in the Customize menu – set to full width and on the home page I put full width as well. But the content simply won’t go full width. It stays with the white boxed layout and the gray part is full as is the header. But the content portion I just can’t fix.
Hi,
The fullwidth or boxed layout option is for the whole site layout (Customizer > General > Site Layout), not for the content area layout.
Please check Default Demo 1 and Default Demo 2 to see the differences:
Default Demo 1 – Fullwidth Site Layout, you can see the page is as wide as the browser window. So the site menu bar, the Featured Slider and site footer is fullwidth.
Default Demo 2 – Boxed Site Layout and Site Max Width is set to 1200px, with a custom site background image.
And from your question, we assume that you have set a static page as your site home page, and you have selected “Fullwidth” page template for the page. The “Fullwidth” page template means no sidebar on the page. And the page/post main content area has a maximum width which is 1120px. Please see this screenshot. We set the maximum width for good readability, so each line of text won’t be too long.
If you would like to make the content portion on your site wider, you can copy and paste the following CSS into the Additional CSS section in the Customizer (to remove the maximum width), like shown in this screenshot:
.container { max-width: none; }
If you only want to change it for the home page, then please use the CSS code below:
.home .container { max-width: none; }
And then maybe you can try to change the Page Background Color from the default light grey to white (Customizer > Colors > General > Page Background Color). Please see this screenshot. And your home page may look similar to this screenshot – no more grey part outside of the content.
Hope this can help. Because we don’t have much information about the exact settings on your site, this is what we can do for now. If you still have questions/problems about this part, please leave your site URL here or send us some screenshots of your site so we can have more information.
Thanks very much.
Dear Sir/Madam,
At first I would say that I love your theme, it’s very beautiful and worth every dollar. My question is if I can put my Instagram feed horizontal in the footer and how?
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks!
Anouck Nijholt
Hi Anouck,
Thank you very much for your kind feedback and the 5 star rating.
Yes, you can put put your Instagram feed horizontal in the footer. On your site dashboard, please go to “Appearance” > “Customize” > “Footer”, then you will see the “Instagram Feed” options. Please tick the box for the option “Check to Enable Instagram Feed”, then enter your Instagram user name. Please check this screenshot.
If you can’t find the “Instagram Feed” options in “Footer” section of your Customizer, then maybe you need to check if you have installed and activated the required plugin “Berry Extension”. If not, you can follow this guide to install and activate it.
And please don’t forget to make sure your Instagram account is set to public.
Hope this can help. If you have any questions/problems please feel free to let us know. Thanks!
