1-When I upload files to assignments or to buddydrive and then when I will preview the file it will download.
When I’m viewing a file in buddydrive or assignment, can I view it online?
Any plugin to view the files online and do not need to download?

1. Yes you can, you can install any hot linking plugin which would prevent direct viewing examples
2. Although we’re developing a plugin for supporting this, you can use this plugin
3. S3 is integrated with WPLMS for media manager for instructors. Not with the drive or Assignment submissions as of now. Assignment submissions is planned.
4. All the files will be hosted on S3, nothing on local server

1. Well no the file wont be able for preview unless you embed it on some page os something . It will download .
2. Well wplms is bases on wordpress and buddypress . Check if you find any plugin for this integration .

There are multiple ways to resolve this. You can add this link in the main menu, enable menus for instructors from WP Admin – LMS – Settings, create a new menu for instructor and connect it to Instructor main menu. Also you can add a big button in the Dashboard using a widget in Instructor sidebar.

These are not static strings, simply go to WP Admin – Appearance – Menus , edit the main menu, and change the title of the menu items.

Question, are all your courses free ? Also, have you enabled assign users to free course on account activation in WP Admin – LMS – Settings ?
Also try enabling, disable auto course allocation for free courses in WP Admin – LMS – Settings.

Each of our teachers have different schedule, does this LMS offer the capability to create courses that can avoid their n/a time table?

Yes, the LMS has this capability. Please use the plugin WPLMS Batches for this. You do not need to create new courses, just create a batch for every instructor and the students led by an instructor will join that batch. The instructor will be Batch admin and can also alter curriculum for the same course for his batch students. Please see this link

I want to buy the Course Learning Path plugin, but I want to check some points related to the scenario that I have.
I have a course including 5 sections. Each section has 3 to 5 units. each unit will be activated when the previous unit is down. The last unit of each section has some assignments.
1) Is it possible to configure the course to active the next section when an instructor checks the assignment and give a permission?
2) Is it possible to configure the course to automatically activate the next section after one week (without needing an instructor look at the assignments)?
3) Is it possible to have a learning path based on sections in my scenario? In this case, do I need to put the point when the last unit in each section is completed by a student?
4) [General Question] Is it possible to have a learning path based on assignments?

1. Yes, in WPLMS sections are just labels for unit groups. There is no option for permission but the section access can be controlled by Assignment evaluation by instructor.
2.Yes, use section drip feed with static duration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHLAlEnGcts
3. Yes it is possible. Learning Paths functions on activity. Each LP has Steps and each step has points for LP progress and activity which marks the step as complete. When a particular activity is achieved user is granted points from the LP Step. So, you can just set the activity as completion of a last units in the section.
4. Yes, you can have LP based on assignments.

On wplms when a student registers he is automatically registered as a subscriber of wordpress and a forum’s subscriber. Except that for more than a year there is an issue sometimes.
Some students are recognized when they register as a forum’s subscriber but not as subscriber of wordpress. Sometimes, they are automatically registered as subscriber of wordpress but not automatically as subscriber’s forum. On 100 registrations the issue will appear 1 or 2 times, for 1000 registrations the issue will appear 20 times on average.

Thank you for reporting this. This is indeed a difficult issue as we need to test it many times to replicate it, to mark it as a bug we need definite steps, so please help us in identifying this issue. Just a thing to check I assume you have list of users who have faced this issue, can you check if they got the email ? there could be a use case connected to the email where email failed to deliver and the remaining code was never executed.

We are facing an issue from start, your Student Messaging system is working as expected.
Issue : In a course we have about 2000 students enrolled, We want to send a message to all the students, So if we select the checkbox of “ALL STUDENTS ” then this sends the message to only 1000 students from the beginning. It won’t sends the message to all the 2000 students.

I have marked it as a bug, currently we’re sending messages in a loop, we will need to switch it to chained loops.

No it should not be a problem because you’re not mass mailing the same message again and again.
I think this can be a problem because if I decide to send a message to the 2000 students, they will all receive an email notification warning that they have a message on their dashboard
Users who do not wish to get an email on message can disable it from their profile – settings section. BuddyPress by default enables emails on messages for all the users. This can be disabled via code level.
Okay, but about the 2000 students if there are 1500 who have not disabled the email notification because they want to be notified it will not be a problem that 1500 mail is sent at the same time ? Can not you foresee a system similar to the newsletter? Batch sending of 100 emails per hour for example?
Interesting point, since we’re using Buddypress email system we never really checked this case.

You can also use Third party plugins like MailChimp’s mandrill for transaction emails. Check this plugin for using MAndrill with BP Email templates.
