You are using 12 (TWELVE!!!) outdated elements in VC add-ons. Deprecated since version 5.6! We can`t use TESTIMONIALS, BUTTON, TEASER, BANNER etc. – “Elements within this list are deprecated and are no longer supported in newer versions of WPBakery Page Builder.!”.

I’m sorry, but I do not entirely understand what are we talking about. We do not use deprecated elements on pre-made websites.

The problem is with demo sites. We have used https://the7.io/business-one-page/?utm_source=demo-panel. All content is outdated. 12 elements used with the demo content is outdated. I know we can change everything but it takes time. We have bought the theme because we have no time. This is the 18th theme from Envato and the only one with this kind of problem – deprecated elements for VC (12 !!!). The second problem is that VC is not working properly; slows down or stops during editing items. This is the first time we see something like that (hosting over 20 websites). We do not even know how to reinstall VC – it is integrated with the theme.
I’m sorry, but you are nitpicking.
There are 4 “Button (old)” shodcodes on the page. Those are our buttons and we put the “deprecated” warning there. But those element are not going anywhere. They will be supported for all time to come. We just make people know that there are newer elements with more features.
As for “The second problem is that VC is not working properly; slows down or stops during editing items.” nobody else reported such issues. And all works fine on our end. I’m guessing with almost 100 000 user base somebody else would notice these slowdowns, right?

It is not.. You uninstall it as a regular plugin in WP-admin > Plugins > All plugins interface. And can install via WP-admin > The7 > Plugins.

For the first: this is incredibly good theme! With amazing add-ons. Excellent customization panel. We do not resign! But this is not the first theme we have bought on Envato. Currently, we are working on 5 themes. We haven`t such problems with any of them, only this one. The problem concerns mainly FF (0 plugins). On Chrome VC worked better, but also the first time we see a situation that VC does not load and you can see the page without VC. And even it is partially loaded and loses the save button. I would like to emphasize once again that we do not have such problems with other themes!
This is super weird. I’ll ask our guys to check the FF. But previously there we issues with WPB Page Builder (former Visual Composer) + FF. They were fixed by the plugin author. It is possible that the browser update reintroduced now ones. We’ll check and let guys from WPBakery know.
Regarding those “deprecated” warnings. I’ve talked to our guys and we decided to remove the warning and just leave the “old” caption. So it do not confuse users. (I agree that that warning look a bit too ominous.)

Nope. You can import the slider separately.
The trick is to navigate to The7 > Pre-made Websites and make sure that you have installed all plugins that Construction demo requires (if you don’t use some of them – they can be disabled later).
When installer will see that all plugins are in place – it will allow importing components of the demo separately: theme options, content and sliders. Uncheck everything except for sliders and hit “import”.
That’s it.

Is there a list of the shortcode syntax available? The shortcode button in the editor doesn’t show all shortcodes (e.g. row, column, icons) and can’t find anything of documentation. The link to the shortcode-list of 4 years ago here in the comments does not work anymore and on the demo page only the appearance is shown and not the syntax with all sorts of variables shown.

We do not optimize demos because it a lot of wasted work – all the content will be replaced by buyers anyway.

As the guys from the help-desk told me, there’s a bug in the theme, more precisely in the “Page header > slideshow settings > Header below slideshow” option. It doesn’t work. When I select it, the navigation bar disappears completely instead of appearing below my header. So, now I’m stuck with the creation of my website. I hope this bug will be corrected soon…

I use the-7 for more than 6 websites, and everytime, i make a child theme but i modify the single-header.php footer.php and bottom-bar.php file and now, my footer is on top and it’s impossible to put on bottom before the bottom-bar…

Can the new “white label tool” be used for changing theme-name, child-theme and every bits of The7 in something else? My client doesn’t want that others are able to find out which theme he is using when looking with delevoper tools.
I’m using “WP Hide & Security Enhancer” but there are still lots of files in <head> section like <link rel=’stylesheet’ id=’the7pt.less-css’ wp-content/uploads/the7-css/post-type-dynamic.css.

Child theme and its folder can be renamed however you like.
As for white label tool, it will not change URLs – theme info only. Otherwise we would not be able to deliver updates.
