Hi, Is it safe to update from version 3.3.* to 4.1.5 directly?

Hi,

There is a lot of design change when you update from 3.3 to 4.1.5 because in between it there are the lot of versions you have missed and you can check the latest theme design here: http://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto_landing/

Please try to install/update your theme by yourself first if you fail then we will do it for you. Please follow the below steps:

1. Take the complete backup of your current site.(If you are updating theme)
2. Go to CPanel wp-content/themes and rename old theme Porto to anything.(If you are updating theme)
3. Upload the latest zip file of the theme there in wp-content/themes.
4. Extract the zip file of the theme there.
5. Go to WP Admin Panel >> Appearance and activate the theme there.

Your theme will be updated easily.

But First please make sure your server requirements is meet with the latest Porto WordPress theme requirement if not then please make sure to set first server requirements as below: You need to agree to the following requirements.

Wordpress 4.0 or higher.
PHP 7.0 or higher.
MySQL 5 or higher.
Memory Limit 64M or higher.
RECOMMENDED PHP CONFIGURATION LIMITS

Many issues are all related to low PHP configuration limits. The solution is to increase the PHP limits. You can do this on your own or contact your web host and ask them to increase those limits to a minimum as follows:

max_execution_time 1000
memory_limit 64M
post_max_size 32M
upload_max_filesize 32M

And also Could you please purchase support extension to get further support? Your 6 months of support period is now expired. According to Envato support policy, renewing support is required for further support.

Our Theme and also some major latest Plugin version like WOocommerce, WP Bakery, Revolution Slider minimum requirement is PHP version 7.0 or greater so it’s better to move to PHP version 7.0 or greater.

hi, I noticed in porto welcome screen this error: Too few arguments in../wp-content/themes/porto/inc/admin/admin_pages/welcome.php any idea about it?

This error mostly occurs when your server requirements do not meet with the latest theme requirement and also please upload your theme via CPanel again because some files of the theme crashed while uploading. Your issue will solve.

Hello. I have the same big problem:
After simple changing an option in “Porto Settings 4.0.5” the Porto Settings screen just become “frozen” and not reacting anymore. I can click any other link in Wordpress admin and everything works, but when I come back to Theme Settings the panel is non-reactive and I can only click “Save Changes” or “Reset Option” button. If I click “Save Changes” I get default theme version. I lost all my hard work in customizing the theme! Is there a way to make a Theme Option screen reactive again without reseting to default version and loosing all my hard work?

The issue you are facing is because of your Theme version is not compatible with the latest WP and Plugins and most Importantly with the server minimum requirement so you have to update your theme to the latest version but after setting your server requirement must meets the latest Theme and Plugins minimum requirement your issue will solve but please take the complete backup of your current theme before an update and there are also some design changes as well in the new theme update you can check it here: http://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto_landing/

Hey there,

First of all i wanna thank you for your great theme.

We’ve finally set up our webshop and got an issue with Woocommerce Shop-Columns on Tablets. It always shows 2 products per column with big white space on the right (like sidebar is set, but it isn’t) and there is no setting in Theme Options > Woocommerce > Product Archives which would change it. There are only settings for Desktop and mobile, which work finde but both of them are not affecting the tablet view.

Another Issue is about the Mobile Menu Panel Side Navigation which appears always transparent on mobile. Of course we are missing detailed style options for the mobile panel. On Tablets it is working fine.

Maybe there are possibilities for the future to implement more responsive options for mobile menus and for screen sizes between desktop and mobile -> tablets.

Thank you but it doesn’t work at all…

1. we added custom css (tried at theme options and via wp editor child themes style.css) -> no effect, there are still only 2 products in a row on tablets. let me explain again – the problem is not that some products are not appearing because they are covered by some elements, the problem is just the layout which couldn’t be set via Theme Options > Woocommerce > Product Archives for tablets – there are only options for desktop and mobile. There should be 3 Products in a row (3 columns) but there are just 2. Please take a look on a tablet: https://www.sg-zero.com/shop

2. No sorry, caching has been disabled for testing – problem still unsolved, mobile menu panel is still transparent on mobile and works fine on tablets. I will leave caching off until you answered and had have a look at the mobile menu -> https://www.sg-zero.com/

there are some top theme on here that has there own privet forum like Avada = https://theme-fusion.com/support/forum/ , X | The Theme = https://theme.co/apex/forum/c/themeco/peer-to-peer and so on … Envato has nothing to do with you having a forum for your users. so the question is why don’t you guys add a forum for your users on your support website like the other top forest theme do ?

Hey guys I’m using a few simple VC Single Image elements on my Homepage and they are not showing up on mobile, only on the desktop. Please advise what can cause such behavior, there are not many settings in the Single Image dialog other than maybe Extra class name, or maybe this is related to a more global setting like under Theme Options?

Now i have installed in my test site some of the different demos and tested with some different settings. Then i used 20 minutes to fix ALL known issues and add my own custom design. This makes me wonder, WHY you don’t just realease a working version with all the reported issues fixed?? It should take no more than 20 minutes to fix for someone knowing them inside/out.
