Seems like there’s a bug with video backgrounds in Safari when serving the video from your own server. Video loads instantly in Chrome and Firefox, but there’s a long delay before the bg video loads in Safari. Any thoughts?

Are you sure your video is served in mp4 and without any protocol issue (https vs https)?
I know, I’ve seen it work on your demo site too… Which makes it very odd. Interestingly, the demo content I import works as well. The issue is only when I upload a new video. I’ve tried serving it as an .MP4 and as a .webm, but no difference. You can take a look here: www.thearcticcircle.org … another thing that’s weird is that if I try to serve it from Vimeo, it shows up as a tiny thumbnail in the top right… something is buggy. I saw that another person had the same issue in the comments, but there was no resolution. Hoping that multiple people having the issue will help escalate it. Thank you for your time.
Hi opwann! Have you tried to convert this video with other tools? What happen if you browser the video directly in the browser by copy the video URL? Anyway please note that this video is 20MB+ that is really an heavy video. It’s better you upload an Vimeo, this mean that any users accessing your homepage will start a download of 20MB+.

I tried dropping in the video to Safari as a URL and it doesn’t play at all. I think Safari needs parameters attached to a self-hosted video to play. Chrome, Firefox, etc, on the other hand, doesn’t require those and plays it immediately.
True, 20mb is a large video. But it will play and use as much bandwidth as someone who is visiting youtube/vimeo… maybe less considering it’s bit rate is dramatically reduced and stable (whereas vimeo and youtube have progressive bit rates depending on internet connection). Also, not I’m serving to mobile devices or tablets. Also, I’ve tried with a video of 4mb and it has the same issues.
Vimeo plays, but there are some black bars around the home screen unless I put it in parallax mode.
Just wondering why the video won’t play in Safari when it’s self hosted.
Also there’s some buggy aspects to adding oEmbeds. Thumbnails are not grabbing (as well as poster #’s I’m inputting) and I can’t even add them through the traditional media uploader… not sure if that’s by design or not.
What kind of support do you offer If I pay the $40 to renew?

The fact that your video doesn’t work also when you insert the URL in the browser clearly explain that this is not a problem with Uncode, maybe something in the way this video was exported. It seems obvious that the problem is not of the theme (it’s not about parameters, in fact as you confirm our demo videos work).
No when you use Vimeo/YouTube the streaming is not encumber on your server but on external service, unless you have a server good as the Vimeo/YouTube servers it’s better you use their service to stream the video (but this is only a suggestion).
It’s not possible to debug in words the problem you report with Vimeo, as shown our demo is fully of Vimeo background and we don’t see any black bars.
Also it’s not possible to debug in words what you report about oEmbeds, if this is a problem of Uncode you should see hundreds of similar messages here. Sorry but you have all these issues only now? Support renew give you access to private support services.
Hi there, Loving developing with the theme.Just one question: is it possible to change a single page navigation i.e. the about us page and give it the hamburger menu. in other words assign a different menu type for a single page? thanks

No sorry actually this is not possible, even if Uncode is one of the most flexible themes we first try to replicate the most common patterns and it’s really not common have different menu layouts on the same site. Visual Composer does not work with products anymore. When adding simple product the front end page is completely blank. Current PHP version 5.6.30 Now cannot add any new products. Theme version 1.7.5, WP 4.9.4 WooCommerce 3.3.3 Uncode Page Builder (Visual Composer) 5.4.5 All plugins up-to-date.
Have never been able to get production registration to work.

Ok – I deactivated most plugins except Woo commerce and Visual composer and went through one at a time activating all the plugins. It turns out a plugin called “WooCommerce Measurement Price Calculator” by SkyVerge Version 3.11.3 was causing the problem. With it deactivated I’ve no notable problems. Hope this helps someone else. Hi, I think this is a custom build from the developers of this website, Uncode uses the native WooCommerce filters (https://undsgn.com/uncode/shops/shop-default/ ) or the Uncode filters based on your layout settings (https://undsgn.com/uncode/shops/shop-grid/ ). I see some users extended the native filters with some plugins, for example this website based on Uncode but these are not native options (ex: https://museumtheoriginal.com/product-category/donna ).
I think you have done a bang-up job with uncode. To me it looks like a general weakness with WooCommerce. As a UX designer, I just find it so strange that WooCommerce wouldn’t have product filters up front and center on mobile!

Hi! From Options Utils (in Uncode panels next the System Status) you can export your settings, this will transfers manually only your options to the new installation. Let us know if you need more precise infos!
How do i select hex colors? All i can find is some drop down with only 15 preset colors!

Thanks for your help i found what you were reffereng to. Usually, wp bakery allows it to be selected from within the row selection rather than being required to be set ion theme options. I have a couple more questions 1. why can i get rows to be 100% of the screen, there always seems to be a slight gap. 2 why when i add an image to a background in a row does it cover the row above it?
Hi davidg82! Uncode uses this unique method, first fo all colors are not stamped inline in the page source, second it make possible to update a color all over your site just from the Theme Options (instead search for the hex everytime you need to use it).

Definetelly makes more sense controlling colors the way you have it set up. I was confused because im so used to using Bakery. Im not trashing your theme I just can’t figure out a couple of important margin and background troubles

Unfortuanately we don’t have any other similar reports and it’s really not possible to debug in words, it seems that your server is not able to manage some of the images you are query to create the thumbnail (not able to process the thumbnail creation). If I view the block independently, the border and padding values are respected, but once I put this block in a page and I view the page, these values are ignored. Weird.

Hi FlobMedia, this is a cache problem, this can be related to browser cache (try another browser) or a cache plugin (both installation both server level, for example BlueHost has an aggressive cache system, another user had the same problem of you).

Hi! It’s possible I don’t understand you but if you reset WordPress also the page designed with the Page Builder will be lost. Visual Composer pages are stored in the database if you reset the installation you’ll loose them. Anyway you don’t need to buy Uncode again if you want to recreate the same site based on Uncode (only if you create a new site). I hope this helps!

Hi invisuallda! Unfortunately there is not a build in method to disable animations only for mobile, for what we know animations play smoothly also on mobile, maybe I don’t get the reason you need to disable but as told there is not an easy code you can insert to remove them, sorry.
Hello, short question: when using lateral posts op ipad (left – right thumb) and click on a post and go back by browser page back button, the posts are not loaded correctly. All images left, not all the text blocks visible. The page has to reloaded again to show correctly. Any solution for this?

Hello, my ‘Copy and Paste’ functionality has recently broken within the Uncode Visual Composer (WPBakery Page Builder). It’s not the copy/paste within a module but copy/paste from the outer most module – copy/paste from page to page doesn’t work either.
