You will need to activate email services on your host in order for WP to be able to send emails. Please contact your host. If emailing is not possible on your host (rare cases) then oyu can simply use a plugin for it.

Loving the theme so far! Another quick question. I made the accent color blue so that links in my posts would be in blue. However, now the titles of my articles on the homepage are blue. I want them to be black. How do I make the titles in the modules black but links inside posts blue? Thanks for your help!

The theme accent color will affect many website elements, including as you mention the color of the post content links and titles of the articles on modules shewn hovered.

As a buyer and still currently a user, I have a couple of observations.
Plugins in one place please There should be a file or page in your docs listing the contents of the plugins folder and saying what they’re for, and plugins should be kept in one directory, not two.
As all these plugins need to be updated manually, users need to remember that although they’ve updated all the plugins in the plugins folder, there are still two more plugins stored in the code directory. That’s not intuitive.
Speed booster? I’m lost as to the point of the ‘speed booster’ plugin, which seems to get disabled by everything except sunshine.
I won’t list all the basic plugins I’ve found that disable the speed booster plugin, but it is a massive list including many of the default plugins I use on the majority of my sites (50+). However, I’m sure you’ll agree that website security is important. I have yet to find a security plugin that doesn’t disable your speed booster. Even ninjafirewall turns it off.
Author pages Google have a list of strict requirements which sites must comply with before they can be included in Google’s news listings. One of those requirements is proper author attribution.
In this theme, as far as I can see, each post can show a user bio box, which contains the text copied from the author’s wp user page. The theme copies whatever is in the wp user box and pastes it into the bio field as unformatted text.
Okay, you can write your own plugin to force the bio field to accept basic html like line breaks and
, but this should be a basic theme feature, given the context.
If the author’s name in the bio box is clicked, the visitor is taken to an archive page which is topped by the same unformatted text field (yes, with social links below) and then a post listing below.
There should be an option to provide a condensed ‘bio’ for bio boxes below posts, with the option to show a proper, or full, author bio on the author’s archive page. The options might include not just social links/icons but things like address, phone number as well as bio.
Also, many articles are written by more than one author, so there should be a way of showing co-authors. And so on.
Given the importance of author bios and attribution to Google (this is important if you want your news website to get listed in google’s news listings) the author’s section needs to be considerably better thought out.

1. All of our plugins are in one folder, not 2 as you mention. The plugins folder is found in the main theme package you download from envato. There are documentation pages for each of the plugins that come with the theme that describe what the plugin does and how it should be used.
2. The 2 plugins you mention are in the custom code section because they are used by people who customize the theme files and have coding skills. We did not want to leave these 2 plugins ion the same section as not everyone has coding skills.

4. As for the authors, for the moment the theme does not provide the features you request but we do plan in the future to change the implementation.

That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. 8 are in the Newspaper-tf/plugins folder, whereas td-custom-post-type.zip and td-api-plugin__1.0.2.zip are in the Newspaper-tf/code folder. As you say, “We did not want to leave these 2 plugins ion the same section as not everyone has coding skills.”
So everybody has to remember to check both folders when manually updating plugins.
Ref 3. Yes, I know that your speed booster is not disabled by the 10 plugins you list, and that you can edit out the lines that disable it (at a risk). But a speed plugin that is only compatible with 10 plugins, (even a basic firewall breaks it) means it’s not going to be of much help to security-conscious sites, if we’re honest. Can’t you sort out something that allows it to work with more than just 10 plugins?
Don’t get me wrong – it’s a great idea, but only if it is usable in real-world installations.

1. Because they are sample plugins! Almost all our users install all plugins they find without knowing their functionality, so we decided to include them in /code folder. Practically they are not tagdiv plugins, they are just samples for the users who want custom modifications.

You will have a hard time not activating the product once purchased as there is a notification system that will constantly remind you to activate. It can get really annoying as we made it that way. We recommend activating the theme and if you want to move the theme on another domain, you can simply deactivate it from the system status screen and then activate it on the next domain.

I could not use Live CSS to edit any page/post’s CSS. Each time I save the CSS using TD Composer, it could not save the page and shows this error (on the Network debug tab):

Are there any plans to increase the content width on a coming release? I think a lot of webmasters would like to be able to run 728×90 ads on desktop and tablet without their units protruding into the sidebar. I think the community would REALLY appreciate a 750px content width area. Thanks!

The images you mention are required by the new multi-purpose plugin. They will return in the media library as the plugin needs them to show up properly on the tagdiv composer. Sorry but these few images are required by the theme and cannot be deleted.
