In a near future, do you plan to add custom post type compatibility in page builder lists? like in “blog” or “recent posts”.
And/or do you plan activate the “post grid” button of VC? it’s a native button and allow CPTs lists.
In my opinion, it’s a priority. It’s a very big limitation if you work with CPTs

Hey Nectar! Hope all is well! Do you happen to know how to do the correct coding to match the CSS on the optin slider on this page “Join the Community” with a horizontal optin, using Salient?

Hi Guys. I have installed an older version of Salient. I need to show the HOUZZ logo in social icons but this older version doesn’t support this. Is there a way of placing this icon in the website old version WITHOUT completely uploading the latest Salient Theme. I am very very nervous uploading the latest theme over the exisiting site.. if it crashed or lost data etc… that’s the end for me…! : ) thanks for you help and a great theme.. PaulC.
Hey PaulC246, What version are you currently on? There wouldn’t be a way to add it without custom modding if you don’t want to upgrade. Have you done file modifications to the theme itself? If not, not data will be lost during an update.

1. it’s not in beta anymore – the version that’s compatible with WPML was released a few weeks ago
2. It will inherit whatever Salient already styles for form/table elements etc., but we have not added in additional taliored styling for any of their elements Cheers

Hey JoeEBasta, yes it is as of 8.5 In your Salient options panel > header navigation > off canvas navigation tab – check the box at the bottom for “Off Canvas Menu Mobile Nav Menu items”. If you don’t see that option, turn on your option for “Off Canvas Menu” temporarily
I decided to add WP-QUIZ plugin today. My support is expired, so I cannot raise a support ticket , which is unfair, since I couldnt have predicted the fact that I need WP-QUIZ plugin.
The plugin is mentioned as incompatible with salient, even with all other plugins disabled, it doesnt work. It works with all other themes instead.
Can you help please? another client mentioned this aswell in previous comments here, regarding his url: http://filtreaza.info/quiz/ – and I can see that it is fixed there.
Hey themesic, the issue that user mentioned that only relating to the final result box not animating in – I just tested the plugin locally and can’t see any other issues. Can you share your own URL so I can see what’s going on with your setup?

Yeah, sorry for my impatience! After clearing cache it was fixed. I do have one last issue. I have a menu item with special class (button and pop-up form). On desktop this works excellent! Only on mobile (material menu style) de menu item (start nu) isn’t a button/orange and when clicking it it’s not showing really well. Can you help me fix this?

1. You’d need to use one of the other off styles offered in the Salient options panel > header navigation > canvas navigation tab – the Material based slide out from right won’t be able to display a lightbox correctly when open.
2. add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel:

Hey berkeleyassociates, are you using page transitions? If so, in the Salient options panel > page transitions tab try changing the method to “standard” if it’s currently on “ajax”. Cheers
Hi, thanks for the reply and yes it works, one more issue when i add new portfolio page by default at bottom “Leave a Reply” area coming up how to stop it, when i created first page it dint show up but when created second page it comes automatically and there is no option to remove it?

Hi, I’m using the left header layout. Could you please tell me how to:
1. Show the secondary menu. The side menu is for all the products in the store and the secondary menu is for things like about us, contact us etc.
2. have the submenu’s expand on hover. At the moment they are either there or not there. I’d like the top level to be clickable (it’ll take you to a category) or when you hover over it – it’ll show you all the sub-categories which are all clickable. When you hover off them – I’d like them to collapse. Much like the top menu normally acts.
3. is it possible to change the direction of the menu hightlight – at the moment the line goes from left to right.

1. There’s no way to add in the secondary header with that layout, one of the others would be needed
2. It’s also not possible to alter this without custom javascript development
3. add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel:
