Hey nancy1of1, that’s not the default functionality of WordPress – the newest should be displayed first. Could you verify that no third party plugins you have active are causing this?

that design wouldn’t be possible in the current state of how shape dividers work, the row with the images could have a shape divider set at the top, overlaying the images but it would need to be a solid color which would blending into the row above if the row BG color was the same
