Salient itself does not have a caching system – if you’re not using a plugin to specifically cache files, check with your hosting company to verify they’re not hard caching anything automatically. Also, in your mobile device have you tried to clear the browser cache?

The link format turns the post into a singular link block as shown in the demos: http://themenectar.com/demo/salient-ascend/blog-masonry-fullwidth/ The post content box gets used to populate the link block text and the link itself is created via the “Link URL” metabox – adding addition info into the link format would require modding to the includes/post-templates/entry-link.php file

Yeah, but in the demo, there is still a title? Mine just shows my picture with a red box over it with a lighter opacity.

Apologies, me again. If I enable my Main Menu on any location (e.g. Top Navigation) my site won’t load at all. Sits on loading symbol. The moment I disable menu, it loads instantly. What could be happening?

I’m on the latest version of Salient.

Hey roketto, you could add the init.js to the child theme you’d just need to dequeue the parent version and enqueue the new child version via the child theme functions.php

Are you referring to featured images on blog posts or portfolio projects? It would depend on the element settings you’re using to display those related posts – there’s a minimum size required for the various possible image sizes here: http://themenectar.com/docs/salient/theme-options/portfolio/

The images used in the business demo are coming from the default WooCommerce dummy data import file

https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/importing-woocommerce-sample-data/ – you can follow that to get the images in if desired

Also, in order to activate the sidebar layout you can do so in the Salient options panel > woocommerce tab.

I use Chrome. On my phone it displays correctly. And on Firefox using my computer, it also display as it should. So I guess it’s only when I use Chrome with my computer…

Hey, no worries. It seems to be occuring becuase of the column setting for centering the text – add this into the custom css box in your Salient options panel to sort it for now:

 .wpb_column.centered-text .portfolio-filters > ul { display: none; }

When adding a row BG image, you can make it responsive by adding top/bottom padding to the row using % values e.g. start by experimenting with 10% for both and alter based on your image dimensions

Downloading/Reuplodading With Using Easy Theme Upgrades Plugin

Step 1. Download the Salient theme archive from ThemeForest Step 2. Head over to Appearance > Themes in your WordPress dashboard Step 3. Click the Add New button on this page followed by the Upload button when prompted Step 4. Locate the salient.zip file you extracted from the ThemeForest download archive and click the Install Now button Step 5. Choose Yes In the Upgrade existing theme? option from the dropdown list Step 6. Click Install Now followed by Activate

The steps are broken between 4 and 5. I got an 404 page.

That issue can happen with certain server setups and the easy theme updates plugin. One quick thing to try before updating via a different route would be to temporarily change your permalink setting to “Plain”, in Settings > Permalinks. If that doesn’t work can you try to do the update via the Envato market plugin?
