we have many customers using HostGator and we didn’t noticed any special issues. WordPress itself recommends to use PHP 7 but many users still uses 5.6 and all works seamless.

Regarding requirements, we do not have any because there is too many factors that may have an impact on proper work, like: additional plugins, internet connection to our server, etc.

Yes, creating such page would be pretty easy. You can even import the demo you have mentioned above and do necessary changes to remove link or hover effect.

you got this Javascript error because you forgot to set Google Maps API key under Theme options > Global > Advanced section which is required by Google or if you already set proper API key, one of your 3rd party plugins must overwrite BeTheme API key.
