Goodmorning, does Avada template propose to add a search bar on the homepage? For instance, this search bar could be composed of 3 tabs “choose your destination”, “choose your activity”, “choose your budget”. Thanks a lot!

The theme does not have a native functionality to add a search filter. This would need custom code added the theme or it would need a use of a third party plugin.

Hi,
after updating to 5.5 some of my images are not shown on my site and also CSS doesn’t work properly. Pls. note I use “static” subdomain for wp-content directory to serve JS, images and CSS cookieless, so I think it is the reason!

I noticed in my dashboard that it says a new version of Avada is available. When I tried to update like I normally do (by clicking update) I receive an error message that “Package is not available.” I’m on Avada Version: 5.4.2. Please advise as to how I should update to latest version without causing issue on my site

I would request you to please attempt the update again. Please do ensure you do not have wp-remote-get/post showing as failed. You can check this by going to WordPress admin panel dashboard > Avada > System status.

Hi guys,
a little bug with latest update 5.5: mobile flyout menu doesn’t stay in center of screen anymore… I mean vertically centered.
I think you changed some CSS… or forgotten something.
Maybe “display: table” on ”.fusion-flyout-menu” and “display: table-cell” with “vertical-align: middle” on ”.fusion-menu” should work.

Hi Ammar,
the bug is only present on mobile flyout menu, not when the flyout is active also for desktop menu.
When the menu is opened, something put in inline-style a “display: block” on “ul.fusion-menu” element, that overrides the correct “display: flex”.
This cause the top alignment of the menu.

This is intentional, however do ensure that the menu spans to the full height of the view-port. We however ensure that the header is accounted for also in the view-port height, screenshot here This can in some cases make the user feel the menu is not centered

Yes, the menu spans to the full height of the view-port… but it doesn’t stay in center with display: block. I mean, this is not a user feel, menu really goes straight to the top.

Hey guys, my support just expired, but maybe you could help me out here quickly.
I love the new Image Before / After Element. Thanks for that! I used an old plugin for that but now I just switched to the built-in element.
Unfortunately I havent found the option to set the size of the element. Even when I set the pictures to a specific size when adding them in the element options, they are scaled up to whole width of the post.
Where can I set the width for the element?

thanks for your replay. But it doesnt work for me. In this example ( http://unsortiertes.de/2015/einsamer-baum-auf-weitem-feld ) I did select “full size” which is 770×513px for this picture. But on front end it is scaled up to full width, which is 1171px.

If you notice the source the size is still one that you set, however yes since you are using it inside 1/1 column it is being stretched so please simply put it inside a smaller column and it should come up as per your required size

Avada is a multipurpose theme and can be used for any kind of business or company, however depending on your requirement you will need to use or integrate a 3rd party plugin in this case. We have not personally tried any plugin so can not provide you with a solid recommendation here but you can look on internet and should find many.

What would stop Google Maps from loading as well as content within equal height columns from centering at the same time?

This could be due to a JS conflict
I would request you to please perform some basic diagnostics
1) Can I please request you to disable all third party plugins except Fusion builder and Fusion core and check if the issue still persists
2) Please disable any child theme and switch to the parent theme to check if the issue is resolved
3) Ensure that you have no system values showing in red. You can check this by going to WordPress admin panel dashboard > Avada > System status. Please do ask your host to adjust any values that you see in red
4) I would request you to please clear the cache from Theme options, by going to WordPress admin panel dashboard > Avada > Theme options > Advanced > Dynamic CSS and JS and click on “Reset fusion caches”, Screenshot here. Please clear all server and browser cache post this and re-check the front end of your site in an incognito window
5) Please try removing any code you have added in the codefield of the theme options (if any is added)

Hi all,
since a couple of days the German menu entries of our website are not displayed properly. You can only see them when hovering above them. Only the name of the currently opened page is displayed but in a smaller font size. However, when scrolling down the complete menu is displayed as expected. In English main page everything works fine.
We are using WPML Multilingual CMS.
Anyone else experienced this bug and knows how to approach this?

As a longtime user of Avada, I do find it disappointing that it still lacks some simple features that competing themes have had for awhile. Features like gradient options for more elements (like maybe a column). This specific features seems to have been requested for the past 2 years but still has not been implemented leaving us with having to use images like it’s 2003. It can obviously be done using a third party plugin, but you would think this would be built right into this theme.
I have just tried for the last hour to use custom css to accomplish this with no success. Which in turn makes what should be something easy and turns it into something that has me banging my head off of my monitor. I’m sure it’s something simple like another 12 lines of css, a bit of js, a dancing hippo and a partridge in a pear tree that I need to get it working. I could ask support but I already know that I will get the old “This is outside the scope of the theme and would require theme customization, we suggest hiring a developer” line.
While I know that not every single little request can be implemented into this already featured packed theme, I would think that some things would be taken into a bit more consideration. We suggest these features because WE are the ones that are developing with the your theme and know what WE need to get the sites created to not only make our clients happy but also to showcase Avada.

This can be done with a few lines of custom CSS. You can first create gradient or write your own CSS. There are several website that can help you with this. Example here
Once done please add a class name to the column. Example here
You can then add your gradient color by going to WordPress admin panel dashboard > Avada > Theme options > Custom CSS. You can use the snippet similar to the example here
This will give your column a gradient with 1-2 lines of CSS, screenshot here

I am interested in using Avada for my adventure tour website, I am a newbie with this but a very fast learner. I was looking over the demos and noticed there was not a demo for a tour company. I was wondering how I might be able to integrate my tour listing with the relevant info. like details, age limit, cost, promotional indicators…Any help would be appreciated to let me know if this would be the best theme for me?

This would depend on the format you need it to be. If you need the users to input this details in a form, then this can be very easily done using the contact form 7 plugin that is bundled with Avada. You can see an example of this in our hotel demo here . If you simply need to display data about a tour/travel package then Avada has a plethora of options to display content in various style
