Hi guys, I’m unable to use a “Quick View” plugin with the Uncode theme. Is there something in your theme stopping this from being used?

Hi j1980mac! Unfortunately we have never tested this plugin, it’s not official from WooCommerce and there are more than 30.000+ plugins out there, sorry.

Hi! This layout uses the RTL, if you don’t use an RTL language contents will be automatically displayed in normal way left to right.

Hello! I have just noticed that my Portfolio Filter is not clickable, to view different categories. My site is here http://staging.bantergroup.com.au/our-work/ in a test environment. I have checked in a couple of different browsers with the same result.

Would you be so kind to tell me how to place images in Mega Menu? I wanted to add an image bellow every submenu option. I already did it last year, removed it, and i can’t recall how to do it again, so it’s definitely doable. I think i placed an image link somewhere but i can’t for the life of me remember where.

Guys, i love your theme, but sometimes you have the strangest, most complicated answers to the simplest questions. Why can’t you just simply answer as following: Add Custom Link option to your menu and in Navigation Label, paste this – a href=”https://imageupload.jpg”. Voila. Done. Instead of giving simple solution that you coders know, you choose to give non-answers, or wrong answers or “it can’t be done” when it clearly can, and we need to spend hours googling what you can tell us in few minutes, and waste time.

Not even mentioning we need to send at least 3 requests explaining what we need help with that you almost never get from one original request which is really strange considering you are coders and you should know the lingo.

It is possible. And i just figured it out myself and did it.

visual composer adding elements
when I edit a page, visual composer now is adding rows with text boxes in them. Uncode 1.8.1.1 with Uncode Page Builder 5.4.7. Every time I delete them, they re-appear.

I hear you. It is odd. I’ve tried it on several different sites – always with the same result. Only started happening about a month ago…

just posted to VC – but there is one more thing I’ll try in the meantime. I’ll test to see if this happens when I used a different theme instead of Uncode. If it doesn’t – my guess is it has to do with Uncode.

OK, let us know in case open a ticket in our Help Center so we can access and test, otherwise as told follow this wall, if it’s an issue of Uncode like you suppose some other users will report, since all users use VC you should see dozen of similar reports.

Well…I think I figured it out. Will test over the next few days. It’s Safari (11.1.1 (13605.2.8)). When I make changes in Chrome, it doesn’t seem to happen. Will let you know if anything changes…

My custom CSS to change the Lightbox background transparency always used to work, but for some reason it doesn’t affect it anymore. I want to make the Lightbox transparency less transparent as its distracting seeing the page behind the images when they are open. My code is this:

For some reason it doesn’t work anymore…

Hi Imagesofdorset, since iLightbox applies opacity via JavaScript to the element you need also to add !important, so the working code is:

.ilightbox-overlay.white { opacity: 0.99 !important; }

Yes I was the first to admit that is odd but this was the sense of my message: if we are not able to replicate it’s also not possible to debug and actually we don’t have other reports and we are not able to recreate this error. Where do you have this message exactly maybe we are missing some steps?

The message appears when the site breaks after updating it. The functions.php file is updated with that Uncode message….

So even updating via the FTP it causes all sorts of problems with the Uncode theme. Are we being forced to only use the “Uncode built in update” method or something?

Updating via ftp caused current customizations to mess up all over the place; no colours were showing, links went purple, fonts changed sizes and a 404 page was created where there shouldn’t be one(!) The Uncode dashboard settings remained, but things only went back to normal when we ‘re-saved’ those settings. Envato’s new theme update tool also did nothing to update Uncode, wheras it updates other themes without problem. We’ve tested this on various installations.

Uncode has been a really good theme, but ever since Undsgn have been making users use the built in update after v 1.8.1 things are going wrong. The documentation even mentions that the old Envato Toolkit is deprecated and that we should use the new Uncode built in updater. But there is no mention of Envato’s replacement updating tool. Is this because you don’t want us to useit/it doesn’t work with Uncode?

Additionally, as other users have noticed, when Vimeo updated their API, all Vimeo background videos with Uncode stopped working. Unless users religiously follow the Uncode changelog, how on earth are users supposed to know when you release updates related to things like this!

On the topic of background videos, Undsgn’s policy of not having mobile autoplay videos used to be sensible. But now some of the biggest websites in the world are using autoplay mobile video, isn’t it time that Uncode at least gave users the option to do this even if it is not default?

Hi! It seems you missed an important info you have in the documentation. If you update via FTP you need to save Theme Options after the update in order to recreate the dynamic style file with your customizations, so if you have problems updating the theme go with the FTP method and remember to save Theme Options and update dedicate plugins. If instead you want to use the Envato Market plugin you are free to use, we don’t suggest since we have a building method from 1.8.

The last published portfolio is always linking to the current page in the portfolio listing and not to the portfolio item itself. If i publish another portfolio, the last one starts working correctly. What could it be?

Hi! No sorry actually no idea, it’s the first time some users report an odd issue like this? Sorry does this happen only now after 2 years you use the theme or it’s a new installation? Does this happen also if you create a new portfolio module from scratch?

I’m just trying out some new demos locally, so i’ve just imported a demo and noticed that on the portfolio. Tried to change to carrousel / isotope, plublish more portfolio itens, change the query but the problem always persists.

Unfortunately we don’t have other reports and we are not able to replicate in all our installations, we’ll let you know if some users report something similar but it seems something happening in your installation otherwise we should have received hundreds of reports.

i have a question.

when i choose a specific demo shop layout like metro shop to be the main shop front in the woocommerce settings, uncode default shop layout overrides the layout display the default store what the page it viewed. please advice.

Hi! This is normal in WordPress and it’s the same you have in any themes. You refer to a “static” page but when you set this page name the same of the WooCommerce option this become the main shop category page. Categories pages are referred in WordPress as special templates created automatically by the WordPress templates file hierarchy and are also known as “archives”. To style this kind of special pages, as you can see this pages are not accessible as normal pages, you can follow this:

In few words you just need to use the Theme Options > Products to style this page and with the Content Block method you can use also the Metro style.

understood about wordpress hierarchy … so the simple workaround would be to create custom pages with VC or your content blocks and than create a redirect from the wordpress built archieve to my custom page(s) yes?

No, there is not need of a ‘workaround’, just follow the procedure illustrated in the links I sent you above, you can create the same layout using Content Blocks with the Automatic Query option and using the Theme Options: this will style the archive page as they are VC pages. If something is not clear please ask the Help Center as suggested.

Hi marmdm! This is really up your needs, if you want to use just this page maybe you don’t need to install all demo contents and it’s better to use the selective import. We suggest to install all contents if you need to copy sections from different pages. Anyway you can also import other pages in a second moment, definitely I prefer the selective import but most of users use complete import. Hi, I am experiencing issues on the checkout page. It is not possible to Place Order (button not responsive/working). When I switched over to test the WP default 2017 Theme, it does work. It would seem it is theme related? I was hoping others might have raised same issue in support. Maybe there is a bug and/or fix or just some advice would also be appreciated. My support has expired but I am writing here in the comments section in case others also may be experiencing a similar issue…

Am using the latest Woocommerce and WP Core version.

Thank you so much for the super-fast reply! Wow! I followed your advice and the button seems like it would work but now there is an issue with the Town/City field: it no longer displays the drop-down with the options nor is it possible to type it in. It simply says: No results found. When one presses submit it displays the error message that Billing Town / City is a required field… Any advice would be so very much appreciated… I don’t have a support plan…I know…so sorry.

Could you please improve the menu? A lot of people asks for fullscreen dropwdown menü with more features like images, colums, sizes, headline, subheadlines, etc.

adding fonts from font squirrel is not working.

I add a font squirrel font in font stacks, click save, go to theme options -> typography, click add new and no fon squirrel font is available under the drop-down uncode fonts.

I’m using a child, the template is version 1.8.1. I already tried different fonts of font squirrel and tried it with deactivating the child and all plugins.

I can even find the font files in uploads -> uncode fonts.

Hello team! I am using uncode for my blog website, theme is good and I am facing slow running of the theme. I have done all the plugins and optimization for the website. But still its the same. Server response is about 5 sec, and contacted hosting providers as well. They increased credentials and upgraded server to php 7. but still i am facing slow issue. Google speed result is around 12 for mobile and 64 for desktop. Please help!

Hi, before comparing themes you should also check what themes offer, I don’t know what themes you refer but at least they should offer you the same features of Uncode, then you can compare. Anyway if you are not happy you can ask for a refund even if you cannot expect a low quality host has the same performance of good ones, you can ask your host why most of the Uncode based websites load like a rocket while your installation is suffering for server response: https://undsgn.com/uncode/showcase/

I am using Avada theme as well in my hosting. And it offers same or more features than Uncode (check the features and sales). This is not a way to treat your customers. The host providers you mentioned where rated low in latest host provider reviews. Check it online and see which ones are mentioned in top. Dear David, don’t insult your customers this way.
