Revolution Slider asks me for an update, yet it requires license. Do I need separate license or is it included in Porto theme, and if so, how do I update Slider through Porto

There is no need to activate or purchase the new license for this plugin. This plugin is already included in the theme package and already purchased the license by P-Themes. This activation message for those who want to update the plugin directly from their website. In our case, you can receive the updated plugin always with the theme update release.
So no need to activate it, just ignore the message and feel free to use it.
And If it is showing an update just go to Porto >> Plugins and click on update button it will be updated automatically if you will face an issue then contact us through our support system we will solve it for you.

The problem is that i cannot select any of the free slider templates from revolution slider template library, or basically do anything with it as for the popup window continues popping up asking for license. Only thing that can be done is creating new empty slides, which kind of is difficult, and therefore I would like to have one of their slider templates installed…

Hi. I’ve installed the porto theme on my site that is in development. I’ve choose demo number 8: http://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/shop8/
Now, in that demo, bellow the big Porto Banner, there are 3 columns next to each other, “Shop Living Room” “Shop Dining Room” “Shop Bedroom”, where do I edit and change those columns, I’ve spent all day trying to find without any success. Thanks

Our latest Porto WordPress Theme is fully RTL supported and it shows the site to RTL when you choose the RTL language and on our demo we have choosen English by default language which is LTR language that is why it is showing LTR on our demo but when you change the languahe to any RTL language it will automatically change to RTL site.

Thanks the update fixed the first issue with error. Now i have a problem with thumbnail images being huge. I just imported an excel file with a couple of thousand products. The data imported fine but now the images are mixed up when presenting in thumbnails. I check the woo commerce settings but no display tag. Tried to regenerate the thumbnails and again no luck. Got a suggestion on how to have thumbnails present at all the same sizes.

To change image size: To change this setting now on the front end you have to go to customize >>WooCommerce >>Product Catalog and you can customize the store display from there.

You must need to regenerate the image thumbnails after making the change in size then after that check your site after removing the cache you will not find an issue.
After change the image size, you should regenerate all the thumbnails in Tools > Regen.Thumbnails on admin sidebar.

Theme worked great up until a few updates ago. Now whenever there is a theme update I have to keep updating the CSS files despite using the Porto child theme.
I always thought the whole idea of using a child theme was that any customisation you make to theme be it a CSS or a PHP file change will stay as they are when a theme is updated not have to update the CSS files in the parent theme for them to work. The CSS files are in the Child Theme directory but they aren’t being read from there, they are being read from the parent theme directory.
I will probably be looking a new theme elsewhere as there are too many changes being made to this theme. With every update lately things have changed and some not for the better.

Please deactivate your child Theme and Activate the Parent Theme and after that again Active the Child Theme and Deactivate the Parent Theme again and save changes and then go to Appearance >> Setting >> Permalinks and save changes there and check your site after removing the browser cache hope you will not find an issue.
Did you change the style.css template name?? If yes then this happens because of that.

Actually, this is update have done by the Woocommerce plugin. We have already forwarded this as a feature request to the development team to add the old Out Of Stock Label on the products, I hope they will add it again in the next theme update.

I just found that cross-sells in cart page has been messed up a little with one of the latest Porto updates. Before the product title, rating stars, price and add to cart button show up to the right of thumbnail which made each product smooth and not so big/high. Now all is falling below image and make it conflict with below feature box and not all info displays if ie title is long. I can see there is a few new CSS that cause this, the margin-right: 15px moves title below thumbnail.

My website is https://www.arctic-fritid.no – just add an item to cart and then go to cart page to see the cross-sells. But you will now see that i have fixed the issue using below custom CSS inline so you must disable that css to see the problem:

You can only do it when you are using the Porto Product Category Element otherwise it is not possible because on an archive page it will only work with the Theme Options setting.
