This is a pre-sale questions… I have used this theme for other clients but i have a new client that wants to display all categories (not posts just categories inside 1 category)
Example:
Occupations (root category) License Clerk (sub of Occupations) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (sub of Occupations) Livestock Commission Agent (sub of Occupations) Loan Counselor (sub of Occupations) Loan Interviewers and Clerks (sub of Occupations) Loan Officer (sub of Occupations) Locomotive Engineers (sub of Occupations) Log Graders and Scalers (sub of Occupations) Logging Tractor Operator (sub of Occupations) Logging Worker Supervisor (sub of Occupations) Machine Feeders and Offbearers (sub of Occupations)
is there a way to display all sub categories names inside the Occupations category with photo (not posts) just category names with lets say 4 columns across?
In your demos that’s what I would expect to happen when I go to url: https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/ but it returns a 404 error…
How can we display only categories not posts in a grip of 3 or 4 columns?

That would return an error, it is not a valid URL (incomplete), this would be a valid category page for example
- https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/category/tagdiv-technology/
All the theme blocks and grids are meant to display posts mainly. Those posts can have categories, each category has it’s own page by default. There is no page to display all the categories. The posts displayed in blocks, grids etc can be filtered according to category and sorted.
What you are describing sounds like the structure of a menu where you can create a category hierarchy or even a mega-menu. Or a category widget.
So there would be no problem achieving that layout you want, but to display posts from categories.

Hello, is it possible to hide a row on mobile on the new tagdiv composer?

Yes that is possible. In the tagDiv composer while editing the page, select the row you wish to hide

Select the phones viewport and the CSS tab. Scroll down and there will be an option

Now if you select hidden, that row will no longer be displayed on phones.

Hi, I had previously bought your NEWS MAG and used it a lot. I am planning for an upgrade to this theme. There are 2 questions
1. Can data from News Mag be seamlessly transferred to this theme?
2. VERY IMPORTANT – Does NewsPaper Theme has FULL WIDTH layout support? I mean can we build full scale pages using all the blocks, grids, widgets etc in a FULL WIDTH layout. We don’t want a boxed layout. Box layout is old.
Kindly let us know clearly if there are any problems or if it’s easily possible

1. That would depend on what you mean by data. Despite the similarities, they are two different themes after all with different features. You can check out Newspaper features in the Features menu here - https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/

2. The Newspaper theme has full width settings, due to the capabilities of the tagDiv composer. Rows containing elements can be stretched to predefined widths or full. There are also full width big grids, see them all here

Header and footer can be stretched the same. As of version 8.8 the tagDiv composer can now be used to design or import predefined post templates (tagDiv Cloud library plugin).
As a notice, if you want to set a general background color or image, the theme will be boxed, in order to display that background.

Those icons were created exclusively for the craft demo, they are unique and no similar icons were made. The only way to use them would be to install the demo, then they will be included in the header menu.
So you could give font awesome a shot, there are many icons to choose from.

After installing the latest update I get the following error which crashes my site:

Please try disabling plugins first and clearing the cache. Also you will have to meet the minimum requirements for the theme: https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/ Also , please make sure you do not have any templates auto-added by visual composer or any other page builder directly to new pages as the tagdiv composer will conflict with this. Test the composer on a brand new, empty page to test it out.
If the issue is still there afterwards, please contact us on our email address at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to your site and wp-admin (login information and admin rights) and cpanel access so we can login and investigate. Hello,
I was using the tagDiv Social Counter but it suddenly disappeared and was replaced by a text block, containing the Social counter info: [td_block_social_counter facebook=”...” ...etc..]
It had been automatically disabled. In order to re activate it I had to update it first. I did so through the Newspaper panel. It now appears when using the TagDiv Page Composer but when I drag the Social Counter element on the page it does not appear on it. It seems to be active, as I can fill in the information on the left (facebook id etc) but it appears nowhere on the page.

This means you should update your plugin. The theme plugin deactivation is a new system in our theme that detects the version of your plugin and if your version is older than the one required by the theme version, it disables the plugin. Please deactivate and delete the social counter you have now, and install it again from the main 8.8 theme package.

Is it possible to edit the fonts and styles of the AMP version?

Sorry but the theme review system does not have such capabilities. There is no functionality that allows you to compare multiple reviewed posts on comparison tables. Maybe you can find a plugin that can offer the needed functionality but I cannot make any recommendations unfortunately.

Salut. Ieri am facut update la tema, acum sunt la versiunea 8.8. Astazi am primit un mesaj de eorre in Google Search Console: Atributul inline „style” nu este permis în documentele AMP. Folosiți eticheta „style amp-custom”.

Pluginul de AMP trebuie updatat deoarece acesta nu se updateaza automat. Trebuie sters si instalatata versiunea de amp care vine cu pachetul newspaper 8.8.

Hi, I’ve looked in the demo, in the documentation, tutorials, installed several demo content, checked all templates but I can´t figure out how to make a menu like the one on https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper/flex-block/ (26 blocks)? a dropdown to other pages (not main menu). Or is it a block heading/filter? or… I tried them all but I know there must be a simple solution… but i cant find it… Please help me

Sorry but that is a custom implementation and not available in the theme. The menu item is supposed to provide a list of all the theme blocks available in the composer. It is not part of the actual theme. If was created custom for the demo only.
