Hey ctekk, Salient has never forced Google fonts to load if undesired. Simply make sure no families are selected in the options panel > typography tab and none will load

Thank you for your reply. I can confirm that I have not uploaded an image into the Header Navigation tab. I have not done this because I have an English and French site running where each needs it’s own logo.

Due to the fact I need to use two logos I am using the following code with ‘background image’ to control which logo appears on the English and French site:

Hey Alan,

The border is from the img tag that’s sitting there without a source applied to it – if you’re going to use custom css to set a BG image – set it on parent link rather than the image tag. This way you can hide the img and avoid the issue:

In the mean time, I figured it out.

I’ve enabled the option “Move Dynamic/Custom CSS Into External Stylesheet”, but some of the custom css I added doesn’t work afterwards. Do you have any idea how can I work around that?

Even after installing w3 total cache, Salient is one of the slowest themes I’ve used on mobile :/ I’m so disappointed. How can I improve it?

1. Can you share a URL and let me know one of the CSS snippets that is not taking effect so I can look? The external dynamic stylesheet has a slightly different order than the internal location so you may just need to make the selector slightly more specific to still get the override

I got another question, on mobile, how can I make the header smaller? If you look on mobiel, there is a lot of space between the main text, I would love it if you guys can give me a css code so that i can remove those spaces! 1. To add links into the copyright bar, you’d need to modify the footer.php file as of now (links of course can go in the widget areas above without modification though) – this can also be kept in a child theme. Just search for “copyright” to end up at the right location

2. If you’re referring to the page header row area titled “CONDITIONS TREATED” – use percent based padding values for the top/bottom padding. So for example, instead of using 250px – use values like 15%

3. On the unordered list added inside of the toggle, remove the class “fa-list-exclamation-triangle”

4. Check out the Salient options panel > typography > general HTML elements tab at the “Heading 3” section
