I am having issues with my uploads, it keeps chopping off the heads of the images, isnt there an autoresize option?

To change image and Thumbnail size: To change this setting now on the front end you have to go to customize>WooCommerce>Product Catalog and you can customize the store display from there.

You must need to regenerate the image thumbnails after making the change in size then after that check your site after removing the cache you will not find an issue.

After change the image size, you should regenerate all the thumbnails in Tools > Regen.Thumbnails on admin sidebar.

It seems that while uploading/installing the Porto WordPress Theme some files of the Themes crashes because of the server incompatibility issue, So please check first that your server requirements must meet the latest Theme minimum requirements as giving in the Theme Documentation: http://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/ and then please delete the Theme from your site by going into FTP or CPanel and then again Install and Configure the Theme by following the steps given in this Installation Guide Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6mqyuDF4GY&feature=youtu.be Hope you will not find an issue.

Can you add a second menu? I want to add a second menu under the main menu. The second menu functions like the one page menu? Anyone got any ideas?

Sorry to say that but this is not possible with the help of Theme Options but you can use the second menu by using the sidebar menu option from Appearance >> Menu and check Yes to sidebar Menu showing below on the page and check your site after removing the browser cache.

I think it is the third party plugin confiliction issue at your end so please deactivate your site all the third party plugins and check your site after removing the server, site and browser cache hope you will not find an issue and then activate your site all third party plugins one by one and check which one is creating an issue for you.

Hi a few issues with the theme i purchased – 1) when uploading images to the media library they show a http error. Then i refresh the page and the image uploads but doesn’t show the actual image, just a file. I then add the file to the product gallery which works but it is making my job take a little longer than usual.

2) Ive edited the flat rate cost per shipping zone/class and it isn’t showing the new price for shipping on the product on the checkout page. It has a default cost which i don’t want there

3) The size guide i cannot remove from the product page. My website is for bathrooms no clothes. So when looking at a bath, it says size guide, which then shows a page of a woman clothing size guide.

4) I wanted featured images on my home page, but when i add them to it, they don’t have an image. I have selected a featured image for each product i want on there but it will not allow the featured products to an image displayed on the home page.

5) On the page titled ‘shop’ There is an image i cannot remove that is from your demo. when clicking edit page, the image does not show. But viewing when viewing the page i can see the image

Yes if you take a look at my home page you can see the photos on the listed products is not showing. Ive tried everything and used different devices but they won’t show.

Also the shipping classes have been created and enabled but when assigned to a product they won’t charge the flat rate i request them to do. They are all set at 9.99 for an unknown reason

Hi,

Please make sure you have comments enabled. They are what makes up the reviews for products.

If you open the product page and scroll to “Product Data” you find a tab “Advanced”. There you find a checkbox for “Enable reviews”. Check or uncheck this. This overwrites the WP settings for comments.

Please go to wp-content/themes/porto/languages you will find the en_GB.po language file just edit it and change the search word translation as per your requirements and then save it and finally you have to generate the en_GB.mo file of that en_GB.po file and place both the files into the same path and replace with the old ones and check your site after removing the browser cache.

Please how do I set menu width to 100% and at the same time align it to center

For making Menu width to 100% you have to make the header to 100% width, so please go to Appearance >> Theme Options >> General and select the Header Wrapper Layout to Full or Wide as per your requirements and check your site after removing the browser cache, Please see this screenshot for the better understanding: https://pasteboard.co/Ht92hK6.png

And for aligning menu to the Center please go to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Menu you will find an option to show main menu to left or center as showing in this screenshot: https://pasteboard.co/Ht92Vei.png but remember that this option only works when you have chosen a header type 1,4,13,14 as also showing in the providing screenshot.

I’ve been noticing that with the multiple items I’m adding using the portfolio option that it seems that all my items need to load in “show all” before they will load in the categories. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix? I’ve been forward dating the publish date so that at least one item from each category should display at the top of “show all” then they will load in their categories. http://polybrite.com/products/

Please use the pagination options instead of infinite scroll tp load the portfolio items. Please go to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Portfolio >> Portfolio Archives >> Disable the Infinite Scroll option then it will not load all the items at the same time.

Just tell me short how to translate the standard text phrases in german. For example “search” in search line or “read more” on blogs and so on…

Please update your Theme to the latest Version 4.4.5 and also update the Theme required/recommended Plugins and check your site after deactivating your site third party plugins and removing your server, site and browser cache hope you will not find an issue.

Please try to install/update your theme by yourself first if you fail then we will do it for you. Please follow the below steps: Your theme will be updated easily.

1. Take the complete backup of your current site.(If you are updating theme)
2. Go to CPanel wp-content/themes and rename old theme Porto to anything.(If you are updating theme)
3. Upload the latest zip file of the theme there in wp-content/themes.
4. Extract the zip file of the theme there.
5. Go to WP Admin Panel >> Appearance and activate the theme there.

Just a quick question. I purchased this for a year ago but never used it so no support left. Now I installed the theme and when I for example change color on the TOP HEADER it not change when I preview.

I have to clear cache memory all time and its quiet annoying to be honest that I have to do that every time I do a small change…... and often when I do it the preview do not change – it still look like before I changed text color, Header color etc etc… Drive me nuts.

It seems the permission issue. Your server did not give permission to add/save the settings of the Theme Options. Basically, when you saved the theme options then it’s created the skin_1.css file inside the CSS folder, because of permission the theme is not able to create this file on your site. Please contact your hosting provider to change the permission to 777 or 755 of the CSS folder and all files.
