Hi, I cant change text in the footer. On backend theme panel -> footer -> footer info content I can change it but on frontend is still the old one. I have also Purge all Cache. If I change only the email – this work. Any idea what is the problem?

Maybe you have caching, try to clear the cache, clear browser cache as well, or test with a different browser.

You can design post templates with the tagDiv composer now. Use the composer and the cloud library plugin to import predefined templates, modify them if needed, or design your own from scratch

Hi, I have just started using the Newspaper theme. Great so far, there is just this one issue I can’t figure out. On the mobile version of the theme, I keep getting a double top nav bar. I’m not sure where the top (white nav bar) comes from. How can I get rid of it? Screenshot shown below

That bottom one is the one from the theme, the top one could be added by a plugin maybe. You could check if that is the case by deactivating them all as a quick test (leave only theme plugins active).

Thanks Simion! This explains it. I am trying to add them to a post, but the tagDiv composer isn’t available. I will most likely need to buy an VC addon to get that on posts unless there is another way? Thanks for your time!

The tagDiv composer can be used to create post templates, not actual posts. This is possible after update 8.8 and the introduction of the Cloud library plugin

Maybe you can find a solution working with this new plugin and post templates.
WPBakery can be activated for posts in it’s settings, you will have to deactivate the tagDiv composer if you plan to use it. We don’t recommend to use it for posts with our theme, only for pages. Future updates will add new features to the tagDiv composer and cloud library, not WPBakery. Please take this into consideration.

There’s just a last issue, in most of the single post templates, I am unable to see the Activate button! Not sure what is going on, probably the page isnt long enough, I cannot see the Activate button.

There is a known issue regarding the import button on smaller screens. If you use a small screen please try to zoom out a bit and see if the button becomes visible again. We will fix this issue in future updates.

This is a great theme. I have got similar other themes like Penci. I am using all of them for our digital media publishing company.
Only thing that stops this theme from becoming best is the APPROVAL WORKFLOW. This is one feature that is missing from all similar themes, not only this. I know there are plugins available. But all good plugins are paid. And after paying for the theme, paying for plugins is an overkill.
It will be great to have CUSTOMIZABLE MULTIPLE WORKFLOWS feature in the theme. We will be glad to pay little more of course for this feature.

So a website where users can vote posts, unfortunately our theme does not have such a rating system. Maybe that would be possible with a plugin, but not by a theme setting. I cannot make any recommendations in the matter, we have not made tests with such plugins.

That link you provided would be a category page, but it seems to have no posts in it. You must have posts assigned to the category in question, they will be displayed in the category page.

I don’t quite understand what you are referring to. What exactly is that credit button? The theme has options for setting a featured image or even a video, but there is no credit button in relation to it. Maybe that could be possible by using a plugin.

You can use as featured images any image you want from the media library

However our theme does not have a credit field that can set for the featured image. A caption if one is set for the image will be displayed, but there is no credit field available. Sorry for any inconvenience.

The date on blocks/modules can be disabled in the theme panel

So you could disable the date there, then no module will display it anymore.
If you only want to remove it from the homepage, try a code like this for example

From what I can see there is a code that affects the footer logo image, I believe it is located in the custom CSS section of the theme panel

We are unable to active the TD AMP plugin and keep on getting the following error:

Hi, i want to know whether it is possible to show analytics post view counts instead for the theme built it post counts? because the built in view counter is not accurate i have 8k+ views of that post in analytics while the theme counter is showing only 1500 views which makes my site looks less popular among the visitors… i have attached the screenshots kindly have a look. this is the post view count in google analytics https://imgur.com/a/HfYHIUb and this is what the theme is showing https://imgur.com/a/SQcJPGU
Note: i am using a cache plugin (Wp super cache) and enabled the ajax view counter from theme panel.

Try to refresh that post page, check if it increases the view count. If the theme post view counter is not showing accurate information, it could be affected by caching. Try to activate this option in the theme panel

After enabling it clear the cache. Then check if the views are updated. Displaying a view counter different than the themes maybe would be possible with a plugin.

The WPBakery plugin version included in the theme package is 5.5.1 (22.06.2018) I believe the latest version is now 5.5.2. We will update the plugin again I believe in the next theme update.
So please download the theme package again and check in the plugins folder, it contains WPBakery version 5.5.1.

i will find lots of theme in themeforest finally i will decide i will buy your theme ( newspaper 8.8 ) but one last think, i will see there 2 type header menu in your theme, can i will use only 1 header menu because i don’t like 2 type header menu & also i will add Follow us icon ( Social icon ) in one header menu…......it’s possible i will add follow as icon in down side Adds banner header menu ( main header menu )...........
