Hello, I have held this license for a few years and recently updated my theme version and VC to the latest. I noticed that the Elated Slider on the homepage suddenly does an odd thing where it completely disappears as you scroll down, leaving a blank white space: http://laurenamyarcher.com/
Do you know if this is a weird glitch or can it be fixed with some setting?

Hi there, we have been using your lovely theme for a few years now (www.swimway.co.uk), but over the past couple months Visual Composer has completely stopped working. The only way to edit the site is to deactivate Visual Composer, edit on front end, and then reactivate once completed.
I have searched and searched for a solution, and the only one I have found is the one you yourselves have posted about deactivating + deleting the plugin, then reinstalling and activating again. Unfortunately this does not work. I am assuming the plugin is out of date (version 4.5.1), but have no way of updating.
PLEASE HELP! Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

When you import demo content, just assign that page to be your home page from WordPress back end > Settings > Reading. Hi, i would like to use the header top as a small navigation, can you tell me how i write it? do i need to use html in the text box for it to show as follows Home | About | and so on?
Can i also put the shopping cart up in the right hand corner of the header top? i dont want it in the navigation bar.

Yes, you need to use Custom HTML widget and to add links as HTML.
For cart, this might require additional css code, since heder top area is limited to height of 33px, so consult our support regarding this part.

We don’t know if it will be possible to submit a ticket if you have purchased the theme before envato inducted payed support, but you can try to do that with your purchase code. If it won’t work, then you will need to renew support or to purchase the theme again. You can extend support, by login in to your profile here on Theme Forest and navigate to Borderland theme page.

the images I uses for headers are not appearing becuase wordpress is forcing an !important on the preload-pattern, please see the parallax here: http://zia-online.com/wp/ ..what can I do? this is very new it was working well before.

You have some JS errors in console so it could be that they are creating problem with execution of other scripts, and preventing slider to be loaded. Try to activate all 3rd party plugins and test this again. Also you can test on some testing page where you will just add slider and nothing else.
Layer slider license isn’t required. Bundled plugins are included with extended license which cannot be given to end users according to Envato rules. I understand that LayerSlider WP is supposed to come with the theme, but it is still asking me for a liscence number even after I updated Borderland to the latest version.. here is a screenshot: https://ibb.co/cNk1x7

hello, i have a question, for some reason i cannot find a option to change the logo in the top left header. Normaly i should be able to change that in the customize settings but now there is no such option for it.

You should be able to set all logo type from Elated options, but it could be that you are using some logo which is not loaded in default header area. If that isn’t the case then we need to take a look at this on your installation so please submit a ticket at https://elated.ticksy.com/ and provide WordPress admin access and a login link.

First of all, the code for portfolio pagination is not in the breadcrumbs.php file. The code can be found in wp-content\themes\borderland\templates\portfolio\parts\portfolio-navigation.php We don’t have a default option to change portfolio pagination, so if you wish to change this, it would require some additional custom work. How do I make the email fa_icon link to an email address? This doesn’t seem to work?

That is because element doesn’t accept mailto for the link. You need to use icon element instead, and separate text element next to it where you can set mailto: trough text editor.

With available elements it isn’t possible and also it is not good practice to have email in your code since it will be accessible so bots, and you will start to receive spam over time. It is better to create contact form with Contact Form 7 plugin. In case that you want mailto it is possible to create it inside text element or custom HTML widget if you want it in widgets and to add code for envelope https://fontawesome.com/v4.7.0/icon/envelope/ and then to wrap that code with a tag https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_a.asp . I’m having real issues with this theme I’m afraid, it just doesn’t seem to be easy to work with at all. I am trying to display the filter products by price element in a side bar widget but it doesn’t display on the page I am working on at all. In fact, most of the product based elements don’t seem to display. Oddly though, if I try to add the filter products by price element to the header widget it displays (no idea why you would want it there though!)
Also, I want to place a sidebar to the catalog page but can’t see how this is possible.
I have raised a ticket in the system but from experience I know this can take quite a few days to get a reply to it so if anyone else has ever got a shop build to work and uses the filter by price I’d love to hear from you!

I have this theme in my website. I found that your theme has an insecure image link which is causing Mixed Content errors on my SSL secured site. Can you fix the following image links? “An image with an insecure url of “http://sergiogordo.com/wp-content/themes/borderland/img/logo.png” was loaded on line: 1 of https://sergiogordo.com/. Errors that are reported on line 1 are generally not part of the source code. This error may be caused by an external javascript file which is writing to the page.” I cant find how to changes this URL of the Image so i cant have the SSL in my webpage and its a logo of your theme

If you have set it for some background from theme options or with custom css you will need to set it again in order to have green lock for your website. If you don’t know where it is you can try some SSL connection fixer plugins like maybe following ones https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-https/ http://ithemes.com/codex/downloads/fix-ssl-non-ssl-links.zip . That doesn’t guarantee fixing the issue and more proper way would be to set image again.

Borderland theme doesn’t support latest WooCommerce yet, but since it is hosted theme it have higher priority and we are planing update for latest Visual Composer first and after that we will prepare Woo compatibility.

I’m beginning to get really annoyed by the lack of support and communication. The theme is great, but I have had multiple tickets submitted and not a single response yet to anything. While waiting I’ve even figured out how to resolve some of the issues myself. It seems I’m not the only one struggling to get some support, based on other comments here. I can understand if you are busy, but someone should at least be able to triage support tickets in a timely manner. Thank you.

I am trying to increase the height of the Elated slider within a page but it doesn’t matter if I place a height value in the shortcode, nothing changes.

Hi, great theme. I bought it a couple months ago and i am just putting on the finishing touches but I have a question in regards to Portfolio List / Filters…
I love the Portfolio Filter feature but I am having issues with what I want it to do. Example: I created categories for two different types of work samples I am showcasing. There are Print work samples and Digital work samples. For Print samples my categories are brand-identity, marketing, publishing. For my Digital samples I created the categories web-development, video-descriptors, e-publishing. When I enable the filter it is showing all of the categories. Is there a way to keep the category filter on but just show the categories that I want to show, not all of them at the same time? Thanks for your assistance!

You could try to create two parent categories Print and Digital and then to assign corresponding categories to them and then try to list just parent category with filter option. In this way only sub categories should be displayed.
