I can not install your theme, purchased a few minutes ago. The error on the screen is as follows:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ’.’, expecting ‘)’ in /web/htdocs/www…..../home/wp-content/themes/....../inc/plugins/plugins.php on line 24

Could you tell me what the problem is? I’ve been using wordpress for many years, it had never happened to me. The wordpress installation is new, the database is new, everything is new, what could it be?

I opened ticket #32721. You can do any kind of trying, deleting / editing / adding anything. I registered today domain, hosting, etc. Possibly leave the theme installed correctly (if you can). I do not understand what the problem may be.

1. For Search Box issue Please download the file from the below-given link and upload/replace it to wp-content/themes/porto/woocommerce and check your site after removing the browser cache hope you will not find an issue.

And we have removed some small changing options from the Theme Options because it makes the Theme heavy and Cart Icon Changing Option is one of them so now you have to change the cart icon with the help of Custom CSS as per your requirements, Please copy and paste the below-given CSS code to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Skin >> Custom CSS and change the Content Value as per your requirements your issue will solve. #mini-cart .minicart-icon:before { content: "\f217"; font-family: "FontAwesome" !important; }

ERROR: Template is missing. Standalone themes need to have a index.php template file. Child themes need to have a Template header in the style.css stylesheet.

Look likes you have not properly Installed/upload the Theme and some of the Theme files crashed while uploading/installing the Theme.

I get this error when updating WPBakery Visual Composer: The package could not be decompressed. The plugin has no files. The installation of the plugin has failed.

We have removed the premium plugins from the Theme Package because the Theme was heavy and now the plugins are on our internal server and can be Install/updated directly from our internal server, And you can check the Theme size and speed now it is super fast now, So this is the demand of the situation as we have to make Porto Super Fast so you have to try to update/install the Theme on Live test server then you will be able to Install/Update the Plugins.

If you are already on Live server and unable to Install/update the Plugins then Can you please try once deactivating the Theme from Porto >> Setup Wizard >> Activate and then after removing the browser cache again activate the Theme with the same Purchase code and then try to Install/Activate/Update the plugins hope you will not find an issue.

You can easily Install and Activate those and all Plugins from Porto >> Setup Wizard >> Install Plugins.

But remember that you are able to Install and Activate the Plugins after activating the Theme License code.

Hi. Downloaded the new updated theme package. Lot of problems. Visual composer fail to install, revolution slider also fails. I am refining and updating the website and upload everything on WAMP64 before it goes live. Could you suggest why it is happening and what the solution is?

Thank you very much for getting back.

As explained, I am running it in WAMP64 in localhost because revamping the site. Despite the steps you have explained, the plugins install states ’ install failed’. The theme demo content does not load at all because it states ‘all required plugins to be installed and activated prior getting to demo content’.

Is there a alternative method to download the plugins? I personally think that plugins should be in a bundle or there should be another method provided to download them. Hope you will consider it in next update.

If you can suggest any other solution, then that would be quite helpful.

Please update your Theme manually via Cpanel by using the steps given below, we have not recommended to update the Theme via plugin because it will override your site setting and customization as well that you did in your Theme so that is why we always recommended to update the Theme via CPanel.

First of all please take the complete backup of your Site/Theme current version and after that please make sure that your server requirements must meet with the latest Porto WordPress theme minimum requirements if not then please make sure to set first server requirements as given in the Theme Documentation here: http://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/

Please try to install/update your theme by yourself first if you fail then we will do it for you. Please follow the below steps:

1. Take the complete backup of your current site.(If you are updating theme)
2. Go to CPanelwp-content/themes and rename old theme Porto to anything.(If you are updating theme)
3. Upload the latest zip file of the theme there in wp-content/themes.
4. Extract the zip file of the theme there.
5. Go to WP Admin Panel >> Appearance and activate the theme there.

Your theme will be updated easily.

This is a BIG change, anything that changes Woocommerce related options is a big deal (is it an ecommerce theme or not?). Please be careful with your “removals”, for speed, file size doesn’t matter to nearly every users, what matters to them is your resource footprint so please keep the options but remove unnecessary resources from loading if they are not configured. Please don’t force users to unnecessarily use CSS, that will only hurt your theme’s usability.

I tried the code, and it did nothing. what am I missing here?

BTW, I tried your code on two different sites running Theme v4.5, and it still shows “CART” text and doesn’t show icon.

I have been using Porto for several years, it never happened to before during theme upgrade. I am very surprised to see that it could load tweets from your Porto account without being configured with consumer key, consumer secret, access token, access token secret and screen name??

We are working with a client that uses the Porto theme on his website. He has Master Slider v 2.26 and we planned on modifying a slider on his homepage – i.e. replacing the background image with a speed-optimized, compressed, SEO-friendly one. Every time I tried substituting in the optimized background, I’ve been unable to save changes to the slider – it’s always stuck on “Sending data…”

Does this have anything to do with the theme? Regardless, what fixes can be done?

Hello there… I recreated the existing homepage slider using Slider Revolution, and when I try to substitute the SR slider into the homepage it doesn’t work. All the text is smushed together and there’s no background image. Looking closer into the page, it does seem that it’s not as simple as just replacing the slider, since the page has custom CSS code that is specific to Master Slider and which I DON’T KNOW how to modify to be SR-specific. The original slider is overlaid with a contact form, and I want to recreate this. What would you need from me to investigate the page?

Hello. I bought Porto HTML5 and Porto Admin 2 years ago and i have some questions before buy the new Porto Wordpress. I have a hosting running my Porto HTML5 site and my hosting accept the option to allow apps like WORDPRESS 4.5 or 4.7 (don’t remember now). My html5 site is only a landing page that in header has a LOGIN BUTTON. This landing is an Educational Platform Landing (something like a LMS) . My idea in future is: When people try to suscribe, i choose if accept or deny the new suscribers, after accept, all members can see protected content like videos, some plugins, etc.

1- My fisrt question is: Im using to try, the ULTIMATE MEMBER PLUGIN (it WORK’S PERFECT). Will work correctly With Porto Wordpress? or porto has a own MEMBER PLUGIN? I need a lot of capabilities included in ULTIMATE MEMBER like accept or deny suscribers, protected pages, etc etc etc.

2- In Porto Wordpress i can’t see the LOGGED HEADER site like PORTO HTML5. What happen when users will log in the site? I like to see them in header, like LOGGED SITE from PORTO HTML5. is it possible easly?

3- The last one at the moment: In general, as my landing is based in porto html5, i will like that my platform have the same structure (colors, fonts, css, etc) in this case i need Porto Wordpress i think. My platform will include: Members Login, protected sites (by members plugin and password (this option is in native wordpress app i think)), and any LMS plugin to create some courses and no much more. Will be right or i will have problems to develop this platform?.

2. Yes our latest Theme uses Woocommerce Plugin also included in the Theme package and Woocommerce has it’s default Login and Logout functionality and it works perfectly with our latest Theme.

You can change the Color,Font, CSS style easily as per your requirements by using the Theme Options and you can use any third party plugin for your required needs but as I already told you that you have to use the third party plugin at your own risk as we have not provided support for third-party plugin confliction issue or Customization.
