Hi, with regard to Video backgrounds on mobiles, Uncode’s official stance is that users don’t like having video on mobiles.
But…is that still true in 2018? Is this really “a best practice in web development.” now? Because some of the biggest websites in the world are now using mobile video in this way and it just seems Uncode is out of date in blocking the ability to show them.
Is it not possible to have it like this by default, but give us, the user, an option to display mobile videos if we choose? The static image option is just not the same…
Hi, this is still our opinion until there is not a global support for this, right now autoplay video mobile are supported only in iOS10, when this feature will be supported by all device we’ll introduce. The current method of using a poster image is far from user friendly too, I mean it’s this:
To create a Media Poster, simply connect the cover image to the media file as follows:
- Open an image (your poster) in the Media Gallery and copy the ID, screenshot - Open a video/audio in the Media Gallery and paste the image ID (the poster is now connected with the media), screenshot - Select the Poster options as source in the module you are going to use, screenshot
Surely it could be better/smoother/quicker UX than that…?

Hi david_h__, we are checking for the next big update but support is limited to some devices and only to self hosted video, actually it doesn’t seem possible for YouTube or Vimeo (so only few setup can benefit of this).
How do I insert a script tag outside of the container of a specific page?
For example, when I go to theme options to add CSS & JS and add JS it shows up on all my pages, but I want to show it on just one page. But when I put raw JS on the one page, it is within the wrapper of the HTML and I want it to be outside of it.
Hi, sincerely it’s not supposed there is an option for this, you can use the Raw HTML module or use Theme Options, in case you don’t need the JS to be executed in all pages you can wrap the function in some statements conditions that is fired only for specific pages. In case let us know you need more precise suggestions.

Hi Maxim1985, do you mean you need an underline on the active link in the main menu? If you can send the link to your installation we can suggest a CSS.
I want an underline to be present on the active link and also one that appears when hovering other links. My installation is not ready yet but i want to use the latest version with the justified navigation.
Not sure to understand but you can start create your customisations with something like this:

That works but it’s under the nav button container and not right under the text.
I don’t think it’s possible unless you apply more customisations. You can try something like this:

that works for the current page not i have to find the class for hovering over them and alos a:after

Hi, on my home page I use istope module with 12 blocks (each is 1/3 width). I would like to insert one ad (specifically in-feed ad – from google adsense) instead of s third block in module. Is it possible?
I tried to create two rows with two isotope modules, and change on the second one “post offset” setting but when I change page number, only second module is changing and nothing happens with the first one.
But maybe there is smarter solution? I

Hi,
I`m using version 1.7.6 of uncode and I want to update it via Envato Toolkit. But after I click it “Update Automatically” it says “Updating this theme will lose any customizations you have made. ” Is this true? Updating theme will delete all my customizations? Or is it just saying this just in case?

If you are going to create a simple website based on Uncode you don’t need the extended license. The extended license is necessary if you intend to incorporate a theme into a new product that you will sell.

Users would need to pay a monthly membership fee to gain access to restricted parts of the site that have training videos and articles. So basically it’s just locked content on the site until they pay a fee.

Hi, I trying to setup the theme. The system status still shows the following as a requirement not met
PHP Max Input Vars (allowed) 1000 – We recommend setting PHP max_input_vars to at least 3000. More info.
What should be done as I don’t have access to php.ini. I told the hosting guy to change and he changed PHP Max Input Vars to 3000. Could you please help. Thanks

We tested now on a few random installations running the latest version of Uncode and we are not able to replicate the issue (ex: https://undsgn.d.pr/b7ySZv) and we don’t have other users reporting this problem. Are you sure you have not installed some plugins that trigger the issue? What is your WP Memory Limit? What version of PHP do you have? Have you some error if you open the Chrome Developers Tools?

Hi,
Seems that I am not able to get rid of some “margin” on both left and right sides of my Posts element. Margin above and below are ok, but too much horizontal margin. Doesn’t look good on mobile either as the text box becomes too narrow. How can I fix this? Posts on front page should look like this https://undsgn.com/uncode/blog/blog-boxed-sidebar/ . Sidebar fits perfectly on mobile.

You’re right, sorry for the issue, however you can add a custom class by using their filter in this way:

I have two questions regarding the two slider plugins Slider Revolution WP and Layer Slider WP.
My first question is: In the demo it says both are included. From what I have seen is that sliders like these are usually included in their basic form, and if you want to do more with it (Premium Features) you have to buy the slider. This is no problem, since these sliders are very cheap anyway. I just want to know the general setup of the theme and its plugins.
My second question is: How are these sliders added to the layout? It says in the documentation that they can be added as a content block (if the page bilder allows it) as well as with shortcodes. Is there a content block in the Uncode WP Bakery Builder for adding these sliders, or would one have to add them through shortcodes only?

Hi and thank you for interest!
1. None of the demo pages are using these plugins (all demos are based on the native Uncode slider), anyway they are included and you don’t need to buy them to use (only if you need reserved features like premium sliders etc). If you need to replicate the Uncode layouts you even don’t ned them.
2. You can include them in different ways and anyway it’s pretty easy, you can use an option or a Content Block (no codes or shortcodess needed).
Thanks undsgn, there is a content block for the Revolution Slider, I even see two of them (one says “Revolution Slider”, the other one says “Revolution Slider 5), but I don’t see one for the Layer Slider WP. What does that mean? Why is there Revolution Slider two times, but not the Layer Slider?

Hi! A few users got this problem in the past after a theme update. Go to Theme Options > Extra > Portfolio CPT modify the slug to something else, save and then insert again your desired slug term. Try to disable other extra plugins you probably have. Not easy to understand without know how this site was before but it’s possible the problem are similar the one above.

Sorry but we really don’t understand, we showed in the video above that the homepage is not visible for an issue triggered by a plugin.
I have managed to work it out myself. All the permalinks were going to 404, so I regenerated them and they now link properly. I also had to go and resave all the colours in my theme, and now everything is showing as before (hopefully I don’t find anything else).. While I am happy that I have managed to resolve this, it is very annoying that every time I update this theme something goes wrong. I use several other themes and never have this same problem! It is not very productive for me to have to spend 2hrs trying to fix it every time, so I think I will find another theme to use when I have time. Disappointing, as overall, I like Uncode theme, but I can’t afford the lost time! Thanks.
Hi, we are sorry for this but it’s even highlighted in the theme update documentation that you need to save Theme Options after the update in order regenerate the styles (https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/214001205-Theme-Update), so we suppose you follow guidelines; while the other problem was triggered by an extra plugin you have I think you have updated to a new version too.
Bug Found: When on Classic Firm when you scroll to the footer, you are not able to click the contact button. It even does it on your demo page.
