1. There’s no option in Salient to have background audio - video backgrounds are now muted by default https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2017/09/autoplay-policy-changes2. The down arrow link is only available when using the fullscreen page header or fullscreen nectar slider
3. Unfortunately the Nectar Slider is limited to the header/caption areas so it would require some custom development to get that same setup within a slide

Add an inner row into the column with the image and then move the image into that inner row. By creating that structure,
the browser should automatically know which layer you intend to be on the top

Hey ninabobo8, in that case, you can also fix it by adding a class name (for example “image-on-top”) onto the inner rows you need the image to show higher and then Add this into the custom css box located in the Salient options panel > general settings > css/script related tab

There’s no option in Salient to do that, but from a general WP perspective it could be fastest (depending on how many pages you’re dealing with) to handle that through the database itself. There’s a few plugins out there for giving you an interface for that from the WP admin https://wordpress.org/plugins/search-and-replace/

I just can’t seem to get infinite scroll to work correctly on my blog page. The page scrolls but it shows only 14 posts by default.

Hi ! We have updated our website with version 9 and as many others we’re having problems… Some contents disapear from the page. The content is ok on the backoffice but not on the frontoffice. All of the version numbers for your theme assets apeear to be from the previous release instead of 9.0 – this leads me to believe your update only partially went through. Can you verify that the old version of the theme is removed from your themes directory before uploading the new version?

Thanks for the awesome update, I got an issue in the admin, I changed the theme folder and name to “mytheme” instead of salient, the admin panel under “Salient” doesn’t show toggle options, If I upload the them under salient name, it shows all the new features, please advise.

When you hover you get “quick view” I want to prevent clients from going to more info. So the quick view is all the get. So if you add it to the cart it just closes down the popup and leaves you there, and notifies you as usual in the cart icon. Is there a way to do this?

The faster loading boost that you have noted in your change loge is only effective when we select no transition at all? What if we use fade out or any other transitions, did they also get speed boost? By the way, speed boosts are always welcome in other parts of Salient.

The theme no longer relies on JS to create most of the layouts so it will be most noticeable when disabling the transitions. However, that also means that overall even with them on there’s less scripting happening on each load. By default page transitions are now disabled on mobile, so even if you use them for desktop you’ll still see a big difference when navigating on mobile devices. There has been an option added to turn them back on when using mobile devices as well if desired though.
Thanks for the AWESOME UPDATE! Is there a limit to the number of locations the Leaflet Map displays? I had over 50 locations on my old google map but the Leaflet map only displays 4 of my locations.

Hey msurma00, The custom location that your stylesheet is loading from should only occur when using an option in the WPBakery plugin settings that Salient doesn’t offer. The “Use custom design options” which lives in the WP Dashboard -> WPBakery Page Builder -> Design Options tab. Were you previously using a raw/different version of the WPBakery page builder at any point and enabled that? If so, disable the Salient version and activate the other version temporarily to disable that option

Let me say it like this, Salient is THE best theme I have ever used in 15 years(I’ve used hundreds of themes). You keep it well updated, it’s well-coded, it does everything, and your attention to detail outperforms all competition. Thank you for not making 1,000 themes that barely get updated, and focus on one single theme that knocks all others out of the park. NEVER STOP updating this theme. I appreciate you more than you know. Seriously. This theme has changed my efficiency in my work life, which has been a blessing to my wife and kids. You are LITERALLY changing lives over here. In nearly every case if the element is not specific to a post type, all of the settings will be directly inside of the page builder element – in cases where a element is qeuring for items from a post type, the output can be modified by settings within the post type itself. I’ve noted to add info about the new element into the docs

Yesterday evening it suddenly worked with some simple tricks. Thank you anyway! I have two small things i would like to edit to my site, in mobile version. Next to the navigation sign on top of the site is another weird symbol, i don’t know what it does but i would like it to be removed. Furter i would like to make the size of the caption text on the nectar slider bigger on mobile devices. Do you know how i can accomplish that?

1. Verify that in your Salient options panel > WooCommerce tab that the option for “Enable WooCommerce Cart In Nav” is turned off
2. You can adjust this by editing the Nectar Slider directly in the page builder and using the “Mobile text sizing” tab

Hi there ThemeNectar.
Just updated to 9.0 and found out that there is something wrong with the Nectar Slider. I use a full width, full height, parallax slider and ever since the update it doesn’t behave as it should. First of all it ads some space above and bellow the slider (checked the row options and there is nothing there) and the top of the slider is a big black bar. One issue I noticed is that the parent row holding the slider is also set to fullscreen – disable that option since the slider itself has the option and will handle those calculations. Are you able to change the shortcode “Team” to something else, like “Model”? If so, what level of effort is required to do so? Is there something that can be added to the child theme and allow you to save that change and not lose it from Future updates to the parent?
Hey Mbx, it would require some custom javascript to bind the existing event to a new selector and then markup for the new element.

That could occur if the PHP settings on your local setup are too low to allow the upload. Check the following settings and increase yours if they’re lower:

Hi there! Like a lot of other people, I went ahead and updated the theme this morning! No real issues (so far) that I’ve found other than one thing! Looks like “Page Header Title” has been auto populated with each pages title. With that said, now each page has a white space above the header that displays the title. I’d like to possibly disable this globally so I don’t have to go page by page and delete each line. I looked online and articles say to go to Appearance > Customize > General Options > Page Title and set the style to “hidden”. This is not an option with the latest version of Wordpress. Please advise what I can do to tackle this issue without going page by page! Thanks in advance!!!

Thanks for your input! I’ve already looked at that page and the “Automatically Add Page Title to Page Header.” toggle is OFF. I’m thinking I may have to go page by page an delete what was auto populated into the Page Header Title input.
