I have found a problem with this, if the deal post is “ticked” as “mark as expired” this does not work. If the deal has an actual date and expires it works. Will there be any fix ?

You must add titles to your filters or to specification groups. To make table as in Products – you must use products instead posts. Using product is much easier because you will not need to use specification and MDTF plugin

There was also much code lost in the transfer to new updated theme. How to restore from old files which i have without losing the whole new updated theme?
