Is X compatible with WP 5.0 Gutenberg ?
Hi there, I want to show news and posts on a page using essential grid. Want to show post title, date and excerpt. I am trying to add Excerpt in essential grid item but it doesn’t work. it shows blank web page with menu only. but when i remove excerpt, it shows all posts with title and date only. I wanted to add excerpt as well but its not working. pls help. Regards, Pooja

Our theme comes with several gallery plugins which let you set any amount of categories and filters. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

Howdy! Our theme comes provided with versions of Essential Grid (https://essential.themepunch.com/) and The Grid (https://theme-one.com/the-grid/) with your purchase. Each of these plugins features a lot of options for displaying posts in lots of creative and unique ways. I would recommend taking a look through their websites to see some of the examples provided by those developers to see that your specific use-cases should be covered.

X pays attention to the GDPR laws in terms of 3rd party resources and other factors but this does not mean that your site will be GDPR ready just by using our theme. There are many nuances depending on what your site is doing so getting either legal advice and/or doing some research on what is required in your particular case is recommended.
How is this theme compared to Avada? I have used Avada for awhile due to its capabilities with creating almost any design look I want. Regarding overall/ and menu. And does this work well with BeaverBuilder?

After update from v.4 to v.6 I can’t set CONTAINER MAX WIDTH. It 1200px now but all pages are fullwidth. Any ideas?

There are many free plugins out there which will enable you to build such a table. Our theme can be used for general layout and styling of the pages where you the can embed the table. Hope that helps!

Hello. With your newest update, with the navigation drop down you have to “hover” over a multi-item navigation item to expand it. “Clicking” on the item won’t make the drop down open. It used to however. Could you tell me how to add the click support to open back into the navigation? Thank you.

Hi X, I think I’ve found a problem (maybe). You give to “leave a comment” = h3 but when somebody write something on my post, “comments” is displaying but you give a h2 value. It’s bad for my SEO. This is a X theme problem ? Thank you.

The markup of X is SEO optimized. It does use an h2 but we’ve not observed that to be an issue for SEO. However, if you have specific needs, that tag can be changed by overriding the template using a child theme. This isn’t something we have intentions of changing several years after the theme has been out as it will affect thousands of sites. As mentioned before if it is an issue for you the best way to change it would be to use a child theme. This would give you full control over the how the markup is output.
As Gutenberg will be the default editor in the release of WP version 5.0, is there anything we need to do in relation to the X theme? Will it break our site at all? My assumption is if we used the page builder that came with your theme, there should be no issues but I wanted to double check. We haven’t used the default WP editor for years. We always use the one that comes with the theme we are using. Let me know your thoughts – thanks! -CT
I have a question. Why does Themeforest only offer X theme 6.3.6, yet when I install it, it says 6.3.8 is the most current.

Thanks for reaching out. Version 6.3.8 is available via automatic updates. Once you install and validate it will prompt the update for you. It’s our mistake that the latest version isn’t in the ThemeForest download. We’ll take care of this so you can also download the latest version directly.

Hello, I have a pre-sales question.
Starting January 2014, the websites of Ontario companies have to comply to AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) standards. The full list of compliances is here: https://www.ontario.ca/page/how-make-websites-accessible#section-3
But the main points for concern are: 1.1 Text alternatives for non-text content (alt text) 2.1 Keyboard accessible 2.4. Navigable content (ability to tab through content, including menus, with ‘skip to content’ quick links) 1.4.4 Resize text (the ability to easily resize content and have it still be legible without cut-offs at 200%)
Does this theme meet AODA standards, or make it easy to meet them (i.e. easy ability to add alt text to image content and galleries)?

Thanks for writing in. We don’t strictly adhere to an accessibility standard, however we do follow accessibility best practices. The theme offers ways to set Alt text anywhere you can place an image. We also have proper tab navigation allowing keyboard users to navigate the site even if you have a complicated menu structure with multiple tiers. Finally, the text resizing is more of a design issue. You would need to make sure you use the correct techniques when building pages. Out of the box we offer “responsive typography” where the base font size of the site can be set at individual breakpoints. This allows you to better control the appearance of text on all devices. Hopefully this helps clear things up!
Hello, the exertions provided with the X theme, specifically the Convert Plus and Advanced Custom Fields PRO, both require license keys, do I require to purchase those separately?
