If you change or Overrides the Demo it will override the Pages, Products, Images. And you can easily Overrides the Demo on the site by just check yes to Override as showing in the below given screenshot:

You need to reset your WordPress then install a fresh new demo and remember it will remove all of your Content. Please use this plugin for resetting your WordPress: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-reset/

OR

Just install override previous content when you installing a new demo it will override your previous content. Please see this screenshot for better understanding: https://prnt.sc/i9wm59

Hi how come I need a license for the WP Bakery when I thought it come with the theme

also I keep getting this error

1. There is no need to activate or purchase the new license for this plugin. This plugin is already included in the theme package and already purchased the license by Smartwave. This activation message for those who want to update the plugin directly from their website. In our case, you can receive the updated plugin always with the theme update release.

So no need to activate it, just ignore the message and feel free to use it.

2. This issue seems to relate with any 3rd party plugin, please deactivate all the 3rd party plugins from your site and activate only theme required plugins. I am sure your issue will be solved, otherwise, please send us site login details through our support system so we will check and solve the issue.

I don’t know why, but your theme is way too slow! I’d like a refund please, this is clearly unacceptable.

I’ve spent a lot of time trying to figure out why it’s so slow, why it slows down the admin page for no reason, what the hell this theme/plugin is trying to do that takes so much time even though it has nothing to do on most of the admin pages, but I couldn’t find anything.

Installing caching/speeding plugins didn’t improve anything, it’s still slow.

I got 84K products for 10K categories on WooCommerce. Pretty sure your theme doesn’t scale very well.

Now, don’t answer me with excuses or that my server is too slow or not enough powerful. I’m a dev, I’ve tested it on my machine (localhost) that have a Core i7 and 16 GB RAM on an SSD.

If that’s not enough for your theme, I don’t know what is. And for the record, other themes (like Kava for example) doesn’t show this slowness, they work fast as if I hadn’t installed another theme or plugin.

Enough wasted time, I want a refund please, before I leave a 1-star review.

There is a huge difference between local machine and server, some times some issues occur on local machines but not on server and vice versa, so my suggestion is to you that once please try with any other server that we have recommended with the minimum requirements for the latest Theme written here: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/requirements-for-theme/

Hope you will not find this issue, otherwise it will up-to you. I really want to hep you but this is what I can do for you.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but we are in the development process of the documentation and the minimum max-execution_time required for the latest Theme is 600 also written in the section when you go to Porto >> Setup Wizard >> System Status, and it is not because of the only max_execution_time but it also because of the server compatibility as well. So I suggest you to please once try/test the Theme on any other server hope you will not find an issue.

You can change it as per your requirements by any one of the two ways listed below:

1. You can change it by changing it into theme language file under wp-content/themes/porto/languages

2. You can change it by editing the file name “variable.php” under wp-content/themes/porto/woocommerce/single-product/add-to-cart

Thank you for this nice theme. I installed the theme and imported “shop demo 7”, but there is no home page and when I check the website it just shows the latest posts. I checked the pages but there is no home page to set as the index of the website. I also installed wordpress and the theme from scratch but the problem not solved.

Hi, I am calling out help to all porto theme users to test the following in their own environment, as Porto keeps denying that there is a problem at all (maybe its my server I don’t know). I can’t understand how I have paid for a software, and 1 year support, and all I get is unprofessional and repetitive answers through their own support system. I am so tired of being handled like I don’t even exist. Anyway, here it goes;

Problem: There is an observed problem/bug between Porto Shortcode processor (Porto Functionality Plugin) and WooCommerce.

How to test for this bug? 1: Place ANY Porto block/shortcode inside the Short Description of a Product you have designated as a cross-sell/upsell in WooCommerce. So these products are supposed to show up in the carousel at the cart page (“You may also like… “). To insert Porto shortcode, click on the P icon on the product tab. Let us call this PRODUCT X

2: Add a product to the cart. This product has to trigger PRODUCT X to appear at the cart page. let is call this PRODUCT A.

3: Visit your cart page. If there is an error, your loading overlay will not disappear. If you dont have a loading overlay, the page loads and you will see an error (PHP function error) in the carousel.

Why is a big deal? Because it breaks down other plugins relying on correct functioning of WooCommerce (such as Yith Compare). As I have used Porto Shortcoded in almost all my products, my site has broken down.

Any feedback and/or help from other porto users is welcome, as I need to know if this an isolated incident or not.

We have sent the reply to your ticket with our test site screenshot and we did not find any issue with the same scenario you have explained in the ticket and here. Please reset the WP and delete the theme and plugins from your site and install the theme again and all plugins as well. I think there is a theme installation issue. Because as you can see that the fatal error is coming from the Woocommerce plugin directory, not from the theme.

The problem is still there (see ticket)

I have made two different side by side Wordpress installations on two different domains. With the Porto theme are no plugins other than the Plugin Functionality installed. When you disabled your own plugin the problem disappears.

Please provide me with either a solution and address the problem, without blaming browser cache issue and other plugins.

Sorry to say that but you can not change the position of Content and meta on the single post page with the help of Theme Options, but you can change the layout of the single post page as per your requirements from Appearance >> Theme Options >> Post >> Single Post.

Please download the latest Hungarian Language translation files of the Theme from below given links and upload it to wp-content/languages/themes and then go to WP-Dashboard >> Setting >> General and change the site language to Hungarian from there and save changes and check your site after removing the browser cache.

I have to report a bug for “Blog & Post Archives”. I set the options: Page Layout: Right Sidebar Archive Layout: Grid Post Style: Default Grid Columns: 3

The problem is in frontend with grid columns. When I set up Grid Columns to 3 on frontend shows 2 columns and extra white space on ride side. If I set up Grid Columns to 2, it shows 1 columns. I think the problem is something with javascript columns calculation, I don’t know.

Can you please help me, I need to have 3 columns grid in my Blog page with right sidebar.

Sorry to say that but I have tested this same at my test site with latest Porto 4.8.3.1 version and did not find any issue like that. All the options are working fine as when I have set the columns to 3 it is showing the 3 columns on the blog post page on the front end and when I have set the columns 2 it is showing 2 columns on the front end.

Hello Support, I just bought your theme (downloaded and imported it via FTP to /wp-content/themes/ folder. And when i trying to activate it getting error: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ’:’ in /home/sutartys/domains/wfba.eu/public_html/wp-content/themes/porto/inc/functions/general.php on line 236

My PHP version: Php 7.0.31 Installed

so it should work…

Found an issue. Yep there is installed 7.0 version but selected one was 5.2. Now its 5.6 and it worked.
