Guys two questions
1) when we installing Newspaper 9.5 on fresh wordpress what “RevolutionSlider5” and “js_composer – WP Bakery” must we install these two plugins? or your theme works without ANY problems without these two plugins?
2) why plugin “td-speed-booster.zip” is only one plugin from td plugins what is not installed and not as option in newspaper dashboard?

WPBakery = Now when we readed more posts back. So it’s look that WPBakery is outdate in Newspaper, and tadgiv team will be in future using only inhouse created TDComposer true? If yes, so we will not install WPBakery on fresh install wordpress.
RevolutionSlider5 = And what about RevolutionSlider5? This is for Us harder found any informations here, if is outdate as WPBakery, or not.

1. The Revolution slider and WPBakery are not required plugins. The theme contains 2 page builders, the tagDiv composer and WPBakery. All the theme demos are built with the tagDiv composer, we recommend that this one be used. Also only with it the cloud library elements can be used. Initially the theme contained only WPBakery, which is still provided in the package.
Using the revolution slider or not depends on you, if you want to display a slider or not. We provide a few demo slides, you can also create your own with the plugin.
Both the WPBakery and the Revolution slider plugins are updated by us when the theme is updated, so when an update is released for the theme it will contain the latest version of these plugins. They do not have to be activated, the activation messages from these plugins can be ignored.
2. The speedbooster plugin is a more advanced plugin, it will help with render blocking, it is not a required plugin. You can find out more about it here https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-make-the-site-faster/

Contact form 7 is not created by us. it is a third party plugin created by Takayuki Miyoshi.
It is one of the tested plugins which we recommend using. Maybe such settings will be available, the recently introduced header builder will be improved and receive more settings in the future. There could be a solution to order the categories different than alphabetically in the mega menu, I believe a plugin such as the Category Order and Taxonomy Terms Order can do it. If you want to also remove a specific category from the mega-menu list, you can create a new topic in the theme forum, provide a link to the website, mention the menu item and the category and I could try and give you a solution

Thank you! I think the Category Order plugin is a good solution for now. Is there a limit for the categories that display on the mega-menu?

As for the category style 8, it needs a background image set in the category setting in order to show it through the transparent top element.

By a theme setting it is not possible. The theme uses the default WordPress login/register functionality, just ads style to it with a modal. WordPress doesn’t have a privacy checkbox in the login page, the theme doesn’t add one as well. Maybe with a plugin something like this could be achieved.

It would be great to use subtitle in blocks. I want to use subtitle like this in block:
“title”
“subtitle
“author name – date, etc”
Because i dont want to use excerpt. Its stop at meaningless word and dont look good. But subtitles look great and i can have full control over words.

We already have this on our list for future updates and we will consider this possibility for future updates. until such time though, there is another way you can have specific excerpts for your posts. Hi there, I am getting blurry thumbnail images and it’s driving me mad – I have activated retina settings, all my images are large enough, regenerated thumbnails etc..but still they are blurry…can you let me know the solution? Thanks very much

The theme has it’s own thumbnail system so make sure you select full size each time you add an image.

The only avatar plugin we have officially tested is “Wp User Avatar”. In order to change your avatar using this plugin you have to access the back-end of the theme though. Maybe you can find a plugin that can offer such implementation in the WP repository as there are many to choose from. You can alternatively try the “buddyress” plugin as they have separate controls over the members area.
As for subscriptions, you can try our newsletter plugin for newsletters but if you need users to subscribe to a certain area and lock that area for non subscribed users, you will have to search for a plugin that can help in this regard. WordPresss has quite a large repository of plugins you can choose from and I;m sure you will find one that suits your needs.

I just bought your theme. Download the full archive. Two files are downloaded: 0 Kbytes (.rar) and 40070 Kbytes (.zip). When unpacking the second archive, an error occurs. PAP writes that this is only the first part of the file. I can not get from the archive plugins and other documents.

The new header editor seems buggy. If I edit my header a few times, I start getting warnings that the code has not been created with the header editor (despite making no outside changes), and then it starts reporting errors in the code and refuses to load it any more. Then I have to start again.

The warnings about the code not being created using the tagdiv composer can be ignored as they simply have a few rules that are detected and the new header manager sometimes does not apply to those rules and the warning gets sent. It is just a warning ad will not cause any damage. We will fix this in future releases of the theme. Sorry for the inconvenience.
The errors however, we did not experience. Can you please contact us via email at conact@tagdiv.com and provide more instructions into how we can replicate these errors? It would help us greatly into fixing them if it is a theme related issue.

1. Yes, the theme provides options to use blocks with images or without images. Bogdan, this setting translates only the part of the theme that users see. Theme settings themselves (for Administrator) remain in English.

Indeed there is no widget element for the video playlist element. It can be done however by implementing it as a custom shortcode. Use a text widget and place the video playlist shortcode inside it. Here is an example of how i did it:
1 I created the playlist on a new page
2. Then I copied the shortcode from the back-end page editor but without the rows and columns added by the tagdiv composer https://www.screencast.com/t/fLpoXxT3qN63 I placed the shortcode in a text element https://www.screencast.com/t/1wNFJsbWCe It has to be added in text mode. Otherwise it will only display the shortcode, not render it.

Thanks, but why does it look different in the category sidebar and the post sidebar? The post sidebar widget’s first video is zoomed and the listed videos have a scroll bar, but the category sidebar’s widget looks like the one on the front page.

Indeed it seems there is a difference between the 2. On posts it is detected as 2 columns when it should only be 1 column. On category pages the element is detected properly. Luckily there is an alternative using the cloud library templates. You can import a cloud library template and use the tagdiv composer to set the content and sidebar . You can add the video playlist from the tagdiv composer directly into the new post template’s sidebar. On cloud library templates you create the sidebar directly in the page builder so it will no longer grab a sidebar from the widgets area. I have tested the playlist this way and it is detected properly.

You can now show the top bar on mobile devices, but only if you use the Cloud Library plugin and use a Cloud Template for your header. It will not work in the standard header styles. The sub-menu yo can see on the fast news demo is only available on the main homepage. It is a tagdiv composer element and it can be removed from the homepage by editing it with the page builder and deleting the element. In order to make that sub-menu appear everywhere on the site you can import it using the cloud library header manager and add the sub-menu element by adding a new row in your menu with a different background color and place the buttons in it replicating the fast news one. Alternatively if you have the demo installed you can simply copy the element altogether with the right click copy functionality and then paste it inside the header manager on the imported fast news header.
I hope this is not too confusing.The fast news header that is imported through the header manager does not com with the sub-menu so it has to be added in.

It seems the back-end CSS stylesheet is not getting loaded. it could be blocked by your firewall, or it could be the cache. Please try to clear all cache, and check any firewall or security on your host. If you still cannot fix the stylesheet issue, please contact us via email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide login credentials for your WP install and cpanel so we can investigate why this happens.
