I have installed the theme, but when i go to add modules to a modular page i cannot have more then one. The + button just doesn’t work. How can I fix this?

Hi! That’s a carousel, it is not made to contain ALL of your releases. You can use the menu and go to the full archive. Otherwise the page would take an age to open…

I don’t see event time on your demo, only date. I guess there is an option in backend panel for it?
Hello, actually there is no time, sorry, ans we are not adding it in this theme, while on other themes and event manager is there. You can only put it in the event description. This theme is mainly conceived for more club / electronic music events so the time is usually not such a variable.
Hi, currently we can not insert MP3 as a URL (Release Track / MP3 Demo / Choose File). We have the latest version of Wordpress and Vice (1.9).
Anyone the same problem?

Hi Chris, the media uploader for this theme never worked in the way you are trying in your video. As you have the theme since quite some time, I must assume you always used it in the way I showed in my previous video, which works.
Or you do like this, or to work with external URL as you try to, you have first to go in Media, add new and create the new media item using your external URL. Only after you can do this.
This theme could have never worked straight away with the procedure you tried to use.
Hi, unfortunately you are wrong.
Since we use this theme we set the Mp3 exactly like that. The last release we created on 12.03 exactly like that. Meanwhile, we have created more than 700 releases so. With 1-5 Mp3 of the method described above. Maybe that’s related to the last update of Wordpress: 5.1.1?

Hi, I’m sorry if I provided a wrong answer. It seems what changed is somethibng else: the browser. In fact, in the debugger, there is a, output saying it can’t set focus on the hidden field for the file name.
This means we need to update the script of the uploader. We are working already on it, and will publish a theme update to use the new media uploader. Please hold on a while so we can publish the new theme version.

Hi, no problems with Gutenberg and wp5, but vice uses custom fields for the home page, so it doesn’t even needs the Gutenberg composer
Will you continue updating this theme? It really is very good, but I am afraid that they will discontinue it
Don’t worry, we just made a huge code review for WordPress 5 and is still one of the most appreciated themes of the market. Even though is not the top seller as we made new ones, it remains one of the most original themes on the market. I don’t exclude that we are thinking about a 360 degrees restyle, which means there will be a legacy version copatible with existing sites, and a brand new version with improved features.
What is 100% sure is that the theme is healthy, working and will be updated for a long time

Hello there i ve got an issue with the audio player in footer and the release module…all the release seems to be ok in admin with the mp3 , title artist and image correctly set, but in the player nothing else thant the title and image but no audio, no signal when i click on play…same thing on the single page..;the title artist and image are ok but i can’t play any song…thx for help

You may have setting issues by any point of view, as streaming URL, radio provider, format or anything else, it requires analysys and testing of your case, and this is stuff for the tech department that you can use form the helpdesk.
For this reason I may suggest renewing your support service which will help you throughout the correct configuration of tyour stream.
Sorry for the limitation but answering would be a sign of disrespect for all of our customers that are regularly purchasing support renewals.

No sorry, this is not possible since Soundcloud is not allowing direct access to the audio file. We created past years a cool API system importing entire albums and podcasts from there and also the audio files optionally, but unfortunately this is not possible anymore as they prevent direct file access in any possible way. The company was almost about to fail 1 year ago and it was then passed to another smart enterpreneur who saved it. Since then there have been substantial changes to the website and I believe maintaining an API system was quite a big cost. Also, this direct file access was an additional bandwidth cost for them and they were getting no revenue from that, so they cutted it.

Also, I suppose you should remove info about Soundcloud from theme description, because the only Soundcloud embed functionality is coming just from Wordpress , not from Vice as it would be with an api.

Just check the code and you will find a massive amount dedicated functionalities for that. Just look for Soundcloud in the theme source code to have an idea.
Every information in the description is accurate. Nowhere we say that an embedded soundcloud track can play in the player, because it’s unfortunately NOT possible since about 2 years.
Stop lying with this! Have a ThemeForest research, there are plenty of themes that provide API functionality so you can link with your Soundcloud app and play SC track from media player. Themes like Pulse, Musik, MESH, that I’m using and used before, are working with this, everybody said it’s working and can be seen already but just for you it’s NOT possible since about 2 years….c’mon. Regarding the description it’s very misunderstodable, when you explain what release, podcast and media player does . This is what I was thinking and I’ve understand in the beginning so I’ve buyied. Didn’t find what was expected and I want the refound for this. But you don’t want just because you can’t agree you’re wrong. Very nice of you I have already other theme for my client anyway, but I still want the refound. If you keep refuse, my lawyer will contact you and themeforest for a short discussion, because this is not the first time when it happens with people like you and I’m enough

There is a big limitation in the display of events. You can not understand what the future events are at the date of entry. They are all the same, and when they are many it becomes completely incomprehensible. The “hour” field should also be added. There is the date, but not the time of the event. Of course you can put it in the title or in the text. But you can not distinguish the new events from the old ones, and it’s a problem when they’re many. I hope in a next update.

About the event dates, my opinion is that they are quite explicitally visible and don’t really understand what you mean
https://imgur.com/a/7UoM0qNTo distinguish old events from new one, you can hide the old ones in the settings, OR you can make 2 categories and link to the 2 different categories from the menu. There are no “middle” ways but in case you have other suggestions, we will for sure check them out and evaluate the implementation.

L’inglese non è proprio la mia lingua . Intendiamoci: questo è il più BEL tema per bands che io abbia scelto! E ne ho visti tanti prima di farlo. Per la distinzione, se proprio diventa intricato fare un confronto con la data del server, basterebbe anche solo che nelle due categorie fosse semplicemente possibile avere una colorazione differente della “bandierina”. Ad es. grigio per quelle vecchie, azzurro elettrico per le nuove, o arancio pallido e vivo ecc… cosa che puoi appunto fare manualmente inserendo in questa o quella categoria. Perchè cancellare quelle più vecchie non va bene… la band ha bisogno anche di far vedere che ha esperienza, che è stata in tanti posti ecc.
Qui ho aggiunto un nuovo evento, in mezzo agli altri, ed è indistiguibile. Ne ho altri cinque da mettere e saranno indistinguibili. Considera anche che nella striscia sul fianco destro non compare l’anno (4 date sono del 2018 e una del 2019). E nemmeno aprendola si chiarisce.

La cosa dei colori è interessante e prendo nota. Comunque per l’utente finale, avere 2 pagine separate per vedere eventi passati e futuri è comunque la cosa migliore (nel senso che scelgono prima dove andare) e praticamente tutti usano la soluzione delle categorie.
Alla fine l’unico lavoro necessario è, dopo un gig, deselezionare “upcoming” e selezionare “past event”.
Per fare una cosa “usabile” credo i colori non siano comunque suggicienti perchè nell’archivio “misto” ti troveresti, col tempo, comunque un sacco di eventi passati, e quelli a venire sarebbero a pagina 100000.

Hello, I’m pleased to see that you already purchased it. Regarding your question, the functionality you mean to add are possible but not part of the theme features. There are plugins as User Role Editor that allows to achieve this, they just require a bit of time for the set up.
How am I able to get the soundcloud song to manually pop up without clicking on it. I attempted to add an MP3 link in a post however it did not display therefore I had to add it to soundcloud. Is there a way to make an url link to show up in the post?

Are there any editing issues after updating to the latest theme? I can’t seem to edit any pages anymore. Switched to the default twenty-nineteen theme and the problem goes away.
You have to install the classic editor which is bundled with the theme
Is there any way of removing the code that calls for the radio channel and releases? I have nothing in them and it’s taking the site a long time to load because of this (up to 5 seconds). I would prefer to have this call to action removed completely from the root code.

If you don’t have radio channels, it will not use this function. The site doesn’t take long because of this, but because of a slow server and heavy images probably. Also, wordpress 5 is super slow too.

This theme looks great. I have a few questions before I buy move forward with this.
1. FEATURED ARTISTS area. My site would need 2 different FEATURED ARTISTS. One for one category and one for a different category. Can that be done?
2. New area. I love it! But can I have it pull from one and not all post category?
3. IS there a demo where I can visit the backend admin panel to take a look at it and how its setup?
Hello! Your ideas are all very interesting, unfortunately on Vice there are no such option, but this is why we made Kentha, which has all the same possibilities of Vice but a much greater flexibility, more options and more features, including video background and real-time sound analyzer.

Does Kentha support podcast? Thats why I like Vice so much because of the layout plus it supports podcast.
