Looks like i can’t connect to Porto services right now during activation (“Sorry, it could not connect to the Porto API server. Please try again later” message)

It’s because your server environment can not access to our server https://portotheme.com

Please try to ping our server and let us know if it works.

Please enable curl extension form server this will fix your issue. This extension is required for the registration process.

OR

The issue mostly occurs when the server has any kind of restriction and do not allow to communicate your server with our internal server for activation, so please ask your hosting provider to remove all sorts/kinds of restrictions from your account and deactivate the firewalls for some time until you activate the theme.

Hi, I have updated the theme to version 4.10, but I have come across some issues, on my home page after the update, there is no text option on the Porto Product Categories Settings or to have the text capitalised instead of uppercase, it looks brutal in uppercase. The Order way doesn’t work, my products were no longer in Ascending order, I tried both the Order way and Order by, there is no catagory ordering whatsoever now.

On the Shop / Archive page there are no options to change the layout / text option, again, there is no option to capitalised the text and have the text outside of the image as per the previous version of the theme. I really don’t understand having the text within the image now or at least the option to have the old layout / options available, the company I work for has paid for professional product photographs and beside the single product pages and the catagory pages, the images look horrible with text within the images.

I have since reverted to the previous version of the theme.

1. Regarding the text capitalized instead of uppercase you have to use Custom CSS, Please copy and paste the below-given CSS code to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Skin >> Custom CSS and check your site after removing the browser cache, It will work for you.

2. Regarding Order of the Element Setting, I have tested it at my end on my test site and finds the same issue, I am sorry for the inconvenience at this time and forwarding this to the development department for fixing it with the next coming update of the Theme so until that please be patience.

3. Regarding Shop/Category Archive Pages, I have tested it at my end with the latest Theme and finds it works perfectly fine, We have included some more Product Layouts under Appearance >> Theme Options >> WooCommerce >> Product Archives as showing in this screenshot: https://pasteboard.co/I6yjApd.png
and you can see in my providing screenshot that some of the layouts have Text outside of the Images and those are working perfectly fine, If it is not working at your end then it must be any third party plugin confliction or the cache issue, So please check it again otherwise contact us through our support system with your site WP Admin Login details so we will check and solve the issue for you.

If I update manually through FTP I can’t update the Page Builder.

Please go to Porto >> Theme License and click on deactivate button and then again activate the Theme with the same purchase code and try to update the Theme again from WordPress hope you will not find this issue.

Well, you do not need to worry about above comment. We made significant changes onoriginal elements to offer much more variations than other themes are providing. That’s why it brought some troubles for original theme version users(most of them are because of their custom codes that are based on previous theme version, and they conflict with new version). It’s same that you need some changes on your site when Wordpress or Woocommerce releases their big updates. Unless you do not customize much against Porto, you never need to worry about theme updates. Most of update issues are because of their own customization codes. We always do our best to take care of our customers, our top priority is your happiness with our themes.

Updating Porto is always a thrilling job and I’m always worried about any design changes. Today everything looked good except for some padding issues around. BUT when I went to the archive page for products I found that everything was just chaos, my great design was gone.

I went to theme options settings for woocommerce archive pages just to find that the option I have used now is removed and several new BUT mostly useless options have been added.

I could quickly put a red cross over several of these as my website uses a combination of very light and very dark images, and a gallery image that should show up on hover, as well as problems with length of text and buttons that do not slide to the left when new buttons appear to the right on hover, causing preview button appearing close into the next product.

Also one of the options showed YITH Wishlist shortcode even though I didn’t have it installed or enabled in settings.

Why have you removed the old options and made all this mess? In my 20 years online I have never experienced design changes like this with any other wordpress theme. I’m really, really disappointed now with Porto and wondering when you are going to learn from all the mistakes you make.

You need to test your theme better before you release an update.

Also the Category View Type 2 does not work so i am forced to use Type 1 which now has a light grey background and white text, impossible to read in mobile view.

And even worse, the custom tab content still not work. I cheked my products with youtube added and content was still messed up so i opened product and resaved the settings and then tab content / both videos dissapeared.

This is really not acceptable and if you ever get it fixed i have a hell of a job to setup my products and videos again.

Also Cross Sells in Cart page is messed up, rating stars conflicts with product title because of the category addon. Archive products add to cart buttons has now a bigger set padding making the buttons unnecessary big. Lots of smaller and bigger issues around.

1. Regarding your very first Comment: We updated shortcode of products and categories to enhance more features and visuality that may affect original custom codes. If you and customers who did not customize those shortcodes will have no problem at all, only who customized for their own will have the issues.

And we do not often change core features of Porto, but we had to update those elements to unify everything and improve code quality and speed performance.

The only issue is we’re going to offer you more features & more performance, and that may bring some conflicts while version update. Please keep in mind that there will be no update issue if we just add compatibility with recent WordPress and woo updates.

Sorry to say that but this is not possible but you can put your required element in the middle column of the header bottom it will work for you same as you want, If the data is large then the actual size of the middle column it will automatically took the right and left space of the vacant area of the header.

Yes, Please go to WP-Dashboard >> Blocks and create a new block and set 5 columns and content in it as per your requirements using WP Bakery and save it and then quick edit that particular block and copy the block slug name and go to Appearance >> Widgets and use/set the Porto Block Widget under Footer Widget 1 and paste the block slug name it and save changes and check your site after removing the browser cache.

I would like to return porto themes I have received on 15.03.2019 is 100% mobile compatible and does not work in older versions until the features are stable. Iphone 4s on my phone when all other sites appear normal, this theme seems to be corrupt, I could handle them only a theme I did not follow bide and immediately I want to switch to another theme has come discount.

1) I have a Page with a Porto Headings text that does not appear in WPML to be translated. Is there any issue with this? The other texts in the page are all appearing in the translation page but not that one.

2) Where can I translate the texts I create in the “Customize” menu (things like copyright, contact info in the header, ...)

Hello. 1) Shouldn’t Porto be ready to work with WPML out of the box for those titles ans such? I don’t find this string in the WPML >> String Translation.

3) The image works here… Try this link: https://imgur.com/Ox8ktg2.png. It should redirect to the correct i.imgur.com… I’ve tested with all Product Layouts and they are all broken. Looks like some base CSS is applied (the category, price and text have all the same font and colors but the positioning, size and wrap (for the product name) are all messed up.

How can I add something to the breadcrumbs on my single/blog posts?

When I am viewing a blog post, the breadcrumbs read “Home > [Post Categories] > [Post Title]”. I would like to make it so it reads “Home > Blog > [Post Categories] > [Post Title]”, so that readers are able to click the Blog link and that’ll take them back to the page that shows all the blog posts. I know there is a “return to [archive]” feature, but I would like to add it to the breadcrumbs.

I have found the breadcrumbs file, and have added it to my child-theme, but I am not sure what type of code to put in it.

Sorry to say that but this is not possible using Theme Options, You have to use any third party plugin for it or you can also use the Yoast SEO plugin for Custom Breadcrumbs, but before purchasing it please contact with plugin author and ask plugin author that is this possible with the help of Plugin options. Hello There…! Porto theme is very nice, we got inspired so we purchased a theme today. But the problem I am tried to install this into WordPress it showing some error. There is no attachment option or else I will upload the screenshots.

I will explain the problem what I am getting exactly. PHP mMax_Execution_time and PHP Max Input vars. (you mentioned that it is not mandatory).

So I started setup the Porto Theme, again I faced some error problem at Demo Content Import process. Standard is hidden because of PHP max_Excusion. so I selected alternative mode. even though its showing error i.e., curl error 35: SSL connect error. I checked my SSL it in active mode it self can help to solve this problem as soon as possible
