So please set your server requirements first and then follow the steps showing in this video: https://www.portotheme.com/wordpress/porto/documentation/installation-video/
And also please remove all sorts of server restrictions until you are in the development process.

Hi! Thanks for replying so quickly. I am aware that there are some settings in my PHP settings for both max execution time and max input variables. However, I will do this later since I installed the theme through File Manager in Cpanel. I had no problems installing the theme from within Cpanel and now I am using the theme. I am already enjoying the many features that came with Porto and I will happily refer anyone who needs a good Wordpress theme.
I appreciate the fact that you support it and worked feverishly, it seems, to creating a theme that meets the needs of people like me who need a quality product. If I have any issues I will submit it through your support forum.

1. If you Install another Demo on the same site then it will duplicate the pages and posts on the site or override the content, It depends on the checkbox while you importing the Demo: https://prnt.sc/i9wm59
So I suggest you Install the Theme on Local or any other test site and Activate the Theme there with the same purchase code and Import any Demo as per your requirements and then deactivate the License from your Test site by going into Porto >> Setup Wizard >> Activate and you will find the deactivate button there, so just click on it and then activate the Theme on your main domain with the same license by following the same steps and now copy any page from Test to Live site as per your requirements.
2. You can simply create the same banner using Porto InterActive Banner element and set it as per your requirements.

Sorry to say that but this is not possible as because the Toggle Menu Icon is set under header div and when you removed the header then that icon will not show because the Parent Div is removed.
If you want to remove the header from any specific page and want to show the header in a mobile version for that specific page then you have to do it with the help of Custom CSS using that page ID and set CSS under media query, it will work for you.
After last theme update all icons (stars rating etc) just gone and there a praceholder instead (square)

You are facing an issue because you have set/added the Custom CSS into your page or Theme Options >> Skin >> Custom CSS as showing in the below given screenshots and your added CSS overriding the latest FontAwesome Family, So please edit your page and finds the particular CSS and remove it or if you will not find it under page Custom CSS then go to Appearance >> Theme Options >> Skin >> Custom CSS, you will find it there so just find and remove it and check your site after removing the browser cache, it will work for you. Guys, I think we have a problem here. I will buy support if I’ll need something more than errors caused your last update. I think it’s a bit unfair to pay for new errors that i couldnt predict after changes you made.
Im not asking you about help with theme or css style i need or fuctionality etc. It was question that appeared after update. Please don’t ask me this again. I will pay if some day I’m gonna need extend support. This issue is not extended support. It’s an unpredictable thing.

A couple of days in a row now the WordPress admin becomes very slow. While debugging this noticed it is making https requests to 68.66.213.16 (www.portotheme.com) that sometimes takes 30 seconds to complete. I am guessing this is used for checking if the theme is up to date but since www.portotheme.com is so slow sometimes this makes it very difficult for us to work in the admin. Is there a safe way to disable the update_theme check temporarily while this is going on?

Hello, In theme options, =>Skin => Layout , there is a choice about Container Max Width (px). No matter what value i put there it does’nt work, Page’s width remains full width in any case.

I have just tested it at my end with the latest Theme on my test site and it is working perfectly fine at my end.
Please make sure that you have set/selected the Body Wrapper as “Boxed” from Appearance >> Theme Options >> General and then set the Container Max Width (px) from Appearance >> Theme Options >> Skin >> Layout as per your requirements it will work for you.
It only works with and for the Boxed Layout.

We are developing our new site, and the “QUICK VIEW” on products was working fine, until the update today. On the individual products, the QUICK VIEW banner at the bottom still shows, but when clicked…does not “pop up” a quick view, but rather takes you to the product page itself. Hi, I have updated the theme to version 4.10, but I have come across some issues, on my home page after the update, there is no text option on the Porto Product Categories Settings or to have the text capitalised instead of uppercase, it looks brutal in uppercase. The Order way doesn’t work, my products were no longer in Ascending order, I tried both the Order way and Order by, there is no catagory ordering whatsoever now.
On the Shop / Archive page there are no options to change the layout / text option, again, there is no option to capitalised the text and have the text outside of the image as per the previous version of the theme. I really don’t understand having the text within the image now or at least the option to have the old layout / options available, the company I work for has paid for professional product photographs and beside the single product pages and the catagory pages, the images look horrible with text within the images.
I have since reverted to the previous version of the theme.

Well, you do not need to worry about above comment. We made significant changes onoriginal elements to offer much more variations than other themes are providing. That’s why it brought some troubles for original theme version users(most of them are because of their custom codes that are based on previous theme version, and they conflict with new version). It’s same that you need some changes on your site when Wordpress or Woocommerce releases their big updates. Unless you do not customize much against Porto, you never need to worry about theme updates. Most of update issues are because of their own customization codes. We always do our best to take care of our customers, our top priority is your happiness with our themes.

Updating Porto is always a thrilling job and I’m always worried about any design changes. Today everything looked good except for some padding issues around. BUT when I went to the archive page for products I found that everything was just chaos, my great design was gone.
I went to theme options settings for woocommerce archive pages just to find that the option I have used now is removed and several new BUT mostly useless options have been added.
I could quickly put a red cross over several of these as my website uses a combination of very light and very dark images, and a gallery image that should show up on hover, as well as problems with length of text and buttons that do not slide to the left when new buttons appear to the right on hover, causing preview button appearing close into the next product.
Also one of the options showed YITH Wishlist shortcode even though I didn’t have it installed or enabled in settings.
Why have you removed the old options and made all this mess? In my 20 years online I have never experienced design changes like this with any other wordpress theme. I’m really, really disappointed now with Porto and wondering when you are going to learn from all the mistakes you make.
You need to test your theme better before you release an update.

Also the Category View Type 2 does not work so i am forced to use Type 1 which now has a light grey background and white text, impossible to read in mobile view.
And even worse, the custom tab content still not work. I cheked my products with youtube added and content was still messed up so i opened product and resaved the settings and then tab content / both videos dissapeared.
This is really not acceptable and if you ever get it fixed i have a hell of a job to setup my products and videos again.
Also Cross Sells in Cart page is messed up, rating stars conflicts with product title because of the category addon. Archive products add to cart buttons has now a bigger set padding making the buttons unnecessary big. Lots of smaller and bigger issues around.

1. Regarding your very first Comment: We updated shortcode of products and categories to enhance more features and visuality that may affect original custom codes. If you and customers who did not customize those shortcodes will have no problem at all, only who customized for their own will have the issues.
And we do not often change core features of Porto, but we had to update those elements to unify everything and improve code quality and speed performance.
The only issue is we’re going to offer you more features & more performance, and that may bring some conflicts while version update. Please keep in mind that there will be no update issue if we just add compatibility with recent WordPress and woo updates.
