Just note that right procedure for doing update of Bridge is to: – first update our theme, here are instructions http://bridge.qodeinteractive.com/documentation/2-getting-started/2-3-installing-the-bridge-theme/2-3-4-theme-update/ – then to install/activate our new Bridge Core plugin and after you could update other of our plugins. Also, make sure to have parent theme activated while doing this update. Then if you have child theme and made some modification in functions.php code of your child theme, just check if you are using any method with “qode” prefix and replace it with “bridge_qode” After this, you are able to activate child theme, too. Everything should be working well. But if you are still facing off any issue, just open a ticket at https://qode.ticksy.com and include your website URL with wp-admin access and our agent will assist you there.

There is no filter in Image gallery elements, but you could use Portfolio List shortcode in that case to create list of portfolio items with filter. And you could disable linking to single portfolio items. We hope this will fit your needs.

Hi I tried to update Bridge to the latest version 18. I deleted the old Bridge theme and then uploaded the new one. Unfortunately when I looked at my site, Visual Composer was not working. I reinstalled it and that seemed to fix it. But then all my styles I wrote for my site didn’t show up. so my site looked all messed up. Also headers, logo and a bunch of other stuff was not correct. I tried importing text file setting, but it was still a huge mess.
I had to restore back to the previous version because the site missing a lot of stuff. In all the previous versions, simply updating the theme never caused any issues.
Is there a way to update to the latest (18) version without breaking the site and loosing all the css and settings? thank you.

Ok. Thank you. I guess it’s more involved this time. What plugins do I need to install? I already have tons on the site, so I”m trying to keep less if I can help it. I see there are qode-restaurant, qode-news, qode-quick-links, etc. 16 plugins, 14 plugins that I don’t use. Can you tell me which ones are mandatory for the site to work? Also it seems as timesheet from child-theme was not being used when I tried to install last time. How can I make sure child theme css works just like it does now before I update the theme. You need to have installed Bridge Core and WPBakery page builder, and when it comes to other of our plugins, it depends on which you are using. If you have Restaurant and using elements for this, you need to have activated this Qode Restaurant plugin and so on. May we ask you to explain further more this about child theme stylesheet? Css from it is not applied?

I use general site, so Core and WPBakery is probably all I need. Is there a page with step-by-step guide? Step 1. Switch to Parent Theme. Step 2. Copy Settings File. etc.
Since is a big change and I ran into many kinds of problems. (WPBakery wasn’t working even though it was installed), CSS,the logo, and the menu disappeared and were replaced by default css and settings, etc. I literally just had to restore the db and the old website since there were too many issues. The guide would really help and will save you from answering questions such as this. Thank you.

As noted here before, there seems to be an issue with the ’Split Menu’ option on Firefox. When refreshing a few times, the logo appears with a very small width. I’m having this issue on my website but I can also see it on your Demo page. Just test your demo page in FIREFOX and you can see that you barely see anything on the logo letter B.

Hi Qode, I updated your theme with the last version and since then I have a bug on my website homepage (https://www.lm-lr.com/). I use the Qode Video Box at 2 different locations on the page and when I click the PLAY button to start a YouTube video (which normally opens in a popup), the video doesn’t load. It’s blocked by my up-to-date chrome browser telling me the script is risky and the content is blocked… I have to force the script execution, the homepage reload and then I can click and watch the video but my website is not https anymore. It was still working few weeks ago so maybe it’s a bug created by one of your last update. Thanks for the reply, Thomas

It is because WPbakery page builder is using script that is forcing http instead of https. We reported this to them and they said this should be part of future update. Until then, you could only manually change this part in code. It could be you’ve already done that and and with theme update it is overridden.

Did you stop supporting this theme? WPBakery no longer works. I haven’t been able to update my theme in months & can’t find any working solutions. I just get a spinning wheel when I try to use the “backend editor”. I tried to completely reinstall the theme and rebuild my website from scratch and that didn’t even work. The “WPBakery” is no longer included in the Plugins folder even though it’s supposed to be.

I don’t see the Bridge Core plugin anywhere?! It’s not listed in the dashboard as per your screenshot – Install and Activate Bridge Core Plugin – is the visible text but it’s not clickable and that’s it, nothing related below. I also cannot find a simple link for it anywhere and it’s not in the WP plugin directory, so what can I do?
