Sometimes if you have a previous version of the composer and you have restrictions on your site for disabling and deleting plugins, the automatic update process for the plugin can fail. You can create a custom footer page to use instead of the default footer. You can create your footer design directly in tagdiv composer or import a footer template using the cloud library and edit it so you do not start from scratch. yes, the mega menu option is included in the theme but you probably have a plugin that removes the option to add other options in it;s place. We have experienced this in the past with plugins that extend the default WordPress menu functionality. Please disable the plugin in question and the mega menu will show up again.

Unfortunately our theme cannot read the views from a view count implemented on another theme. The post view functionality is not the same unfortunately. Each theme has it’s own custom implementation for the post views and they are not compatible among them. Sorry but there is no easy solution for such a functionality. There is an alternative solution however. You can add post views manually for each post in particular by using this custom field: https://www.screencast.com/t/NX9zN188J You need to enable custom fields in the Gutenberg editor in order to see it.

I realize I can apply a different layout for each category. What I’m asking, however, is this: I’m using the boxed layout with Category Template 20 – Fast News. In editing the template mode, it does what I want it to do. It uses a photo in the banner area and a patterned background behind the content box, as here:

Sorry but you cannot have 2 background images set for a category. if you want separate images, try to implement a single image as well instead of just a category background. You cannot have 2 backgrounds in the same element.

I just updated my theme to 9.7.2 and now I can create a new page. It says The link you followed has expired.
I did some reading but to no avail. My system status is all correct (green) and nothing needs correction.

Yes. The child theme documentation only works up to version 9.6.1. It is updated. In the current version of the theme the child theme support does not work as most of the theme files were moved to the tagdiv composer plugin s mentioned here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/

I’m saddened by the fact that your changes to 9.7 does not support child themes to extend/override functionalities. And reading through all the comments the best suggestion is to edit ‘td-composer’ files, and keep competing with TagDiv to keep it updated (when updates overwrite, I then overwrite).
But I need to ask, does that also invalidate your API documentation?
I also see my first question was avoided (maybe cos I don’t have active support?). This is different from others who have this issue when they try to ‘upload’ the theme. I’ve updated mine, the whole site works fine, but I can’t add a new WP Page (which works fine with other themes).
I’d like to regain confidence in this theme… Cos I keep recommending NewsPaper whenever I can.

After soooo much troubleshooting – I had a few plugin conflicts. ‘Ninja Popups’ was the cause of the ‘New Page’ Issue. Also I couldn’t see Mega Menu options, ‘Theme My Login’ plugin was also conflicting….
I think I’m mostly good now. I will try the creative plugin approach.

You’ll see random results : most of the tests have image issues, others can’t load the Tagdiv JS ! I suggest it depends on the order the browser loads the code.

This is strange. Yesterday I tested multiple posts and they were all marked as mobile friendly including the one you mention. Now it seems the test cannot load the stylesheet and provide the not mobile friendly response. This happens when the test cannot load the main css. I will pass this information on to our development team and we will investigate why this happens and provide a fix as soon as possible.

Hi, I’d like to place a Taboola ad below the bottom share buttons on posts, but there doesn’t seem to be an option for this in the theme panel. Which theme file would I need to edit and where would I place the javascript? I’m using the default post layout. Thanks!

You do not need to edit any theme file in porder to customize your post layout. You can use the cloud library to create a new post template or customize an existing one and place the ad below the post content using the tagdiv composer: https://tagdiv.com/customize-articles-with-single-post-templates/
