Hi, The template I use is Newspaper. 1 image uploaded to Media Library is replicated in 22 different sizes. This is terrible. (Which hosting can withstand this?) I have two questions: 1 – Is there a way to prevent this? Is it possible to set the image size to 3 instead of 22, for example, large, medium, small? 2 – I’m trying plugins like ‘Featured Image from URL’ and ‘Nelio Content’. They take a picture with a URL, I see it in the text, but it is not displayed on the site. Why could it be? Can you help me? Thanks.

Hello,
Our theme does not use the default WordPress small medium and large thumbnails. Our theme uses custom thumbnails as mentioned in this guide: https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-thumbs/
1. Different blocks need different thumb sizes. You will need to asses the thumbs you actually use on your site and disable the ones that are not in use in order to reduce the number of thumbs created.
2. We have not tested the plugins you mention so we cannot guarantee they will work properly with our theme and thumb system. Our theme does wan not designed with grabbing external images in mind. Sorry.

Thanks for the answer. I understand the technical reason. So what could prevent the featured image from appearing on the front page of the article? Do you have any suggestions to solve this problem? I am collecting content with RSS feed. That means a lot of pictures. And pictures that don’t belong to me. Therefore, I do not want to download pictures to my site. I need to view it with a URL. I take pictures with URL. Not only displayed on the page. It’s blocking something. What could that be? Thank you.

I made Thumbs on Modules / Blocks settings.
I chose only 4 thumbs:
100×70,
218×150,
696×0,
1068×0,
After the change, I reviewed the Uploads folder. 1 picture replicated to 8 different sizes.
In addition to my selection,
1024×683
768×512
300×200
150×150.
Why are they produced when not even in the Thumbs options? Thank you.

For RSS feeds, our theme cannot set the featured image properly. I got the site up, I went to my theme panel and selected the main theme instead of my child theme as the active theme. Once that happened I was able to select my child theme again. Now, the only challenge I see is that my custom taxonomy pages are no longer working. Any suggestions?

Hello, we moved the theme from a developer enviroment to production and instagram stopped working with the message “Instagram data error: Instagram html data cannot be retrieved”, any idea which parameter on php/apache could be blocking it? thanks

After immigrate my web site template to newspaper I lost traffic in google. I agreed with the comment of : <in responsive mode that cuse the low trafic from google to customer site> annesininmelegi.com has more than 6000 unique visiter a day. Nowaday annesininmelegi.com has 1717 visiter. That’s not normal!

Whenever you switch themes, there will be a drop in proper reading until google can index everything properly again. The traffic will be back once the process is done. I’m not sure what you mean as our theme has no problems in responsive mode with google traffic. What is “translating the console” ? Also our themes are not compatible with RTL and at the moment there are no plans on making a RTL implementation.

The default header templates do indeed have a limit of 30 sub-categories in the mega-menu. There is no setting to change this limit.

I mean the pure Newspaper installation without additional plugins should not be worse in the performance in the following versions regarding the Ajax dropdowns in the blocks. But at least equal or better. This support can not help me yes. My server is state-of-the-art. New Highest configuration. Different server types tested. In your demo, it is much worse. As long as that is not resolved, version 9.6.1 is worlds better and more effective. In addition, yes in the 9.7.3 much does not work anymore.
You can not just play that on your running system. I’m just waiting for the next update and hope in the mobile menu version is then again the login and user link displayed and the submenus. So long you can not give anyone the latest version. The performance of the Ajax dropdowns in the blocks must definitely be much better. Otherwise it’s up a good way.
