Hi! Great Theme! Just ran into the Duplicate Job Post issue that returns the “Missing Submission Page” error. Is there a simple fix for this?

Hello, check if you have all pages set in the Job Listings > Settings > Pages. Thanks.

Hi, is it possible to order the job categories alphabetically? at the moment, the ones with the most jobs in are at the bottom?

Hi, Just wondering if you have an update on this? Thanks!

Hello, sorry but as I said, your support period is expired. I already answered many of your questions. If you will renew the support, I will be happy to continue. Thank you.

Hi,

Is it possible to add text under each of the page headers/titles, for example, I would like to add some text under just the category page header.

Thanks

2.8.12 – July 19, 2019

  • Header top padding issue fixed (appeared with text logo)
  • Bundled plugins updated

Hi,

Is it possible to remove the /job/ from the URLs so it just has the job listing as the link?

Thanks

Also, is it possible to edit the categories template? If I update the /vc_templates/job-resume-categores.php, will it get overwritten with a theme update?

Every file in the parent theme folder gets overwritten during the update. But the files in /vc_templates folder can be used in the child theme. If you need more support, please renew your support package.

Also, I’ve noticed this PHP tag

<?php job_listing_class(); ?>

generates the job-category class along with many other classes, but is there a tag that will display only the “job_listing_type-xxx” as a class?

Hello, sorry I don’t quite understand the question. There are archives if you want the page with the job list of certain type. Thank you.

I’m basically wanting to just echo the class of job_listing_type_[job type category here] rather than all the other classes that are added when using <?php job_listing_class(); ?>

Hi, I’ve noticed the script is using elements such as:

<meta itemprop=”hiringOrganization” content=”<?php the_company_name(); ?>”>

Is this using schema.org?

Thanks

Yes it is.

Hi,

When editing the job listing page, do I edit the file /jobseek/inc/job-manager.php or do I need to save a version in the /jobseek-child/inc/ directory as I have tried this and it’s not updating. The file in the parent theme updates, but not the one in the child directory.

Thanks

There is literally limitless amount of information on this subject on the internet. Official WP articles: https://developer.wordpress.org/plugins/hooks/

If you have more questions – please renew your support package as its expired.

Thanks for the reply, I will take a look.

I’ve worked out that its the content-single-job_listing.php file that needs to be updated in the child theme to modify that page, so no hooks are needed.

Hi, where can I change the “Load more listings” text on the homepage? Thanks

Also, if I want to remove the letter-spacing from all elements, do I update the jobseek/style.css? If I update this, will it get overwritten when the theme gets updated?

There is a special section in the Customizer – Additional CSS. You can add your CSS code there or in the Appearance > Theme Editor child theme style.css file.

Thanks

Greetings,

Does this theme uses advanced custom fields or something similar and is it possible to make one more custom post type, in this case “events” with title, description and date for users where they can click “attend” or something like that?

thank you very much in advance for the availability!

Hello,

this theme is built around WP Job Manager plugin, which is most popular jobs WP plugin. If you need to extend jobs with more fields, you can do that either with custom coding or paid addon.

I need more information about the events functionality to give you a correct answer. But you can use any event plugin with the theme, no problem with that.

Thank you.

Hi there,

Is there a way to display the actual number of latest listings in a specific category? Ideally based on a daily or weekly basis?

Thanks

Thanks I will check. I have another question – how are the jobs ordered on the homepage? How can I get a job to the top of the list without making it featured?

By default jobs ordered by the date of posting , if else is not selected, you can see a description of the [jobs] shortcode on the WP Job Manager site with the order parameters. To make the job to the top of the list, without making it featured? I don’t have an easy answer or a solution on this.

Thanks

2.8.9 – June 28, 2019

  • Search form shortcode category select field fixed
  • Search form submit button hidden (appeared after WPJM update)
  • minor CSS fixes

“This author’s response time can be up to 2 business days.” This is much longer. Still working on a client project, and I am in need of support. When I send you guys an email it takes several days to get an answer approx. a week. When I need to send an answer on your response, I have to wait around 7 days again. I need help!

Sorry, but I don’t see any opened ticket right now from you? Sorry for some delays recently. I replied to you about an update today. Let me know what else do you have?

Hello Coffeecream

I am having issues when I enable job categories on front page the dropdown box shows all categories but when you click to choose one nothing happens stays blank? Would much appreciate if you could help me get this fixed. Thank You

Hello,

I am doing my research now on how to improve this. Because it is not some bug in a theme, but the way it is realized in the WP Job Manager. The filter is working, but it doesnt’t add selected filters to the select field as active. You can make sure by remporarily switching to standsrd WP theme.

Thank you.

When I purchased the Jobseek – Job Board WordPress Theme in 2015, the plug-in, Indeed Ultimate Membership Pro, was included.

Currently, errors are being experienced connecting my site to some payment platforms, such as PayPal. In trying to secure support from Indeed Ultimate Membership Pro, I am required to include a purchase code, which I do not have, since the plug-in had been included with the Jobseek – Job Board WordPress Theme.

Please advise how this matter can be resolved.

Hello,

Jobseek never has included “Indeed Ultimate Membership Pro”, it is the first time I hear this plugin name. There was a plugin called Membership Modules by CodeCanyon author CSSJockey, which is also removed and does not exists, or replaced with WP Frontend Auth.

Thank you.

Looks like a great theme, have a couple questions:

In the demo when logged in as an employer it gives me the options to post a resume and create job alerts – is it possible to have specific roles so that an employer wouldn’t be able to post a resume? And likewise for a candidate they wouldn’t have the option to post a job?

In the employer dashboard is it possible to have the company information setup there? Currently there are fields one each job posting for company information. Technically an employer account would be assigned to one company and whenever a job is posted it would be posted under that company name?

On the job search results for (http://www.coffeecreamthemes.com/themes/jobseek/v2/find-a-job/) is it possible to have it default to the FacetWP Jobs Filter so that any filters options are along the side?

I look forward to your reply.

Thanks

Hello,

you can limit the rights per user role. By default there is no such limitations.

WP Job Manager does not support companies as a separate post type, so they are always attached to the job information. There is a new free plugin that adds this functionality, I’m now working on the integration and will update the theme soon.

Do you mean on all archive pages and in all cases to have the FacetWP? I didn’t thought about that before. It is possible, and I will make sure to offer such option with the nearest update too.

Thank you.

Hello,

by default there is no limitations by user role, but you can add limitation with special plugins or simple code.

WP Job Manager always attach company information to the job, it does not offer company post type. There are two plugins that solve this, but one of them paid, and the free one is quite basic.

Not sure what you mean about FacetWP. It is possible to include it on any pages.

Thank you!

2.8.7 – June 12, 2019

  • Search / filter feature added on the job and resume category archive pages

Hello, A pre sales question. I can see from job categories that no option to filter for example by location? is this possible? Thank You

Just uploaded an update, you can also see it on ur demo now.

Thank you so much coffeecream.. I have decided to purchase and if its ok will send your support a message to receive the fix.

Thank you, fix is already in the theme, so no need to do anything on this matter.

2.8.6 – June 11, 2019

  • Minor CSS and JS fixes
  • Custom logo option is now replaced with standard WP logo option – update in Customizer > Site Identity
  • WPBakery page builder updated

hi Coffeecream,

I have a problem that seems to come from the theme according to wp job Manager Support Request with the indeed-integration plugin. I created a page with the shortcode [indeed_jobs] but it’s the jobs I added that appear instead. Can you help me ?

thank you in advance

Hello, do you have an active publisher ID configured? I have no idea how the theme may brake something here, it worked before, and theme just adds a visual appearance from the listing. Create a support ticket providing site details – URL and WP dashboard login details. Thank you.

hi, thank you for your reply. it works normally again after updating WP Job Manager Version 1.33.1
