Media galleries do support both images and other kinds of media like self-hosted or external videos and they can be mixed, so the answer to the first question is yes, you can.
Second: your home page can display whatever you prefer among the list of available module, including product carousels.

I purchased your Uncode theme on 21st Jan 2018 but have not made it active on a live website since it was purchased. It has taken me 18 months to get to the stage where i am now ready to create my website and i am trying to register the classic photographer template to work with on my new domain but it wont install the template successfully.
I had previously uploaded the theme to a different domain but it didn’t go live and was not used.
Is it possible to check why this is the case?

Just to clarify: aren’t you able to register the Envato Purchase Code on the System Status page? Does it say that the code is already used on a different domain? In this case just contact the authors via private message as suggested at the bottom of the dedicated page (if it is found that you are not using Uncode for other sites they will unlock the Purchase Code): https://support.undsgn.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000849998

Hello Matt, you don’t need to purchase a new license if you don’t use your current one in any other site. As I wrote: if your license is registered for a domain that isn’t using Uncode anymore, we’ll unlock your previous registration and you’ll be free to use it again wherever you prefer. I meant a licence to submit a ticket to check/unlock the purchased licence. When i tried to submit a ticket to send an enquiry it stated i needed to buy support. My question was is it possible to unlock/check why i cant apply the selected theme without me having to buy support.

Hello. Not sure to understand the question about Avada, however our test results are visible on our ThemeForest page and I guess Avada does the same thing.
About settings: yes, poor settings will cause issues, that’s the reason why we specify those as requirement: the most critical is max_input_vars lower than 3000, since it doesn’t allow to save Theme Options and large navigation menus, but the other ones are important too, so I recommend to ask your server support if they can increase those values.

How do you account for that? I really like the look of your theme but speed is one of the most important things I am looking at for my new theme. The Avada Creative demo at https://avada.theme-fusion.com/creative/ received a “B” Page Speed score.
Please, do not consider our demo: it has too many addons (panels, chat plugins) created for demonstration only and it cannot be used as real life example if you use speed tests. If you are interested in this matter please review these articles:

One more question for you – I see that you are using a customized version of the Visual Composer plugin. How easy is it to update this when new versions are released? I have used this plugin in the past with other themes and always find it to be a little troublesome to update. Do you provide instructions on how to do this with your theme? Does it require deleting the plugin when you release a new version of your theme?
Hi bohemia14! Uncode uses a custom version of the WPBakery Page Builder (formerly known as Visual Composer). The new version of the plugin are packed with Uncode each time an update is published and you just need to click an “update” button.

Yes, new version was sent to our Beta Testers last week and will be published in a few weeks. In any case, considering that the summer has passed and that we are talking about a top seller, 3 months since the last update are not many (some of our competitors update 1 or 2 times a year and it’s quite normal, it’s not the quantity, but the quality that counts).
Yes, I agree with you and it makes it easier to maintain the site if there are not a lot of frequent updates to the theme.

i’ve just checked. I don’t have plugins outside of uncode. When i press “backend editor” some javascript alert pops in the left bottom corner.

Hi luciamyv! These errors point directly in the WPBakery Page Builder files, is this a new installation or this happened during the time? Unfortunately, we don’t have other users that reported the same so we don’t have a ready solution and it’s not easy without having access to your site…
oh, i understand… this is a site that doesn’t need update, so i cant tell when it started happening.

during time, I wasn’t keeping my site updated, it happened before i update it and i hoped it would solve with the update but it didn’t.
Mmm… so if happened without any action during time it’s possible your host modified some settings. Did you try to delete the Page Builder and re-install it?

I think i know what’s happening. I’m updating the plugins manually because when i set the purchase code it says that is in use in another webpage… i don’t which could be. I cannot contact them because my ThemeForest’s item support license for Uncode WordPress Theme is expired.
Support expiration is one of the Envato policies. Unfortunately we as author, also have to abide by the terms of the contract with Envato (ThemeForest) which is to the customer and marketplace’s own interests. As you can understand we cannot request only for you private logins, otherwise 55.000+ users should expect the same.
Is there a way to change the single gutter margin? Just changing the CSS messes everything up. The values are located in the app.js.

Hello, quick question – where can I define which Social sharing platforms should be displayed in portfolio items? In the config of the theme I can see “Enable share” on “Portfolio > Content” but I would like to hide some of those options (i.e. Pinterest, LinkedIn). Thanks

on shop module, there’s a functionality on mouse hover, to highlight the product and show the “SELECT OPTIONS” / “ADD TO CART” button. However, on mobile, this options shows when you tap on the product, so you have to double tap to open the single product. Can we disable this?

Hi, I installed and customized the theme for a client 2 years ago. He recently asked me to change some information on the website, and when I logged in I realized the uncode visual composer is no longer showing the blocks and all the customization I made. Hi gdantur! If you’ve upgraded to WordPress 5.0 and you are apparently no longer able to use the Page Builder, please follow:
- Update to Uncode 1.9.3 (or higher), update the required plugins and make sure you have selected the Disable Gutenberg Editor option in the WPBakery Page Builder > General Settings. When updating the theme don’t forget to update Uncode Core and WPBakery Page Builder plugins as outlined in the Theme Update documentation.
- Alternatively, if you cannot update the theme, you can install the free Classic Editor plugin from the official WordPress repository and check the replace the Block Editor option.

Hi mikkelmand! When it comes to thumbnails you need to consider first the layout under and not the layout overlay (first option of the tab Block). In few words the most important status is when you have some text under the image (like a blog post) and in this case with Light Skin the text is dark on light background… I hope this make sense!

I have the “contact form newsletter circle “ on my website . When I input an email to subscribe I receive an error saying “ there was an error trying to send your message . Please try again later “ .
